GreenMachine 0 #6 March 5, 2007 Hey Tony, Yep, I was a dumbass and made the mistake of originally thinking altitudes listed on the antenna site were in feet not meters I have met and/or emailed with a few guys who are active jumpers in Florida. When I am ready I plan to visit them. How is your leg healing up? Hopefully well bro!Rigger, Skydiver, BASE Jumper, Retired TM
ToyMaker 0 #7 March 5, 2007 That sign is obviously a translation of a similar one in english... cause the spanish in it has WAY MANY mistakes. Anyway... yeyo already translated it ok... and it seems that USTED YA COMPRENDE. _______________________________________ White cute poodle puppy found. Approximately six months of age. GreenMachine 0 #8 March 5, 2007 Good eye man, the listed altitude is 221 meters or just over 700 feet. FYI: it has 8 guidewires. Added bonus: saw a deer while walking the LZ. I have not jumped it yet. I have one more antenna to scout before I decide which one to open. This one is definitely in the top 2 right now. As for delay, I plan to take 2 seconds, either stowed or hand held depending on the amount of room at the launch point. The short delay is based on my gear, experience, & fear/comfort level.Rigger, Skydiver, BASE Jumper, Retired TM
worldsocold 0 #9 March 5, 2007 cool man! and just remember it's "guy" wire. old english word or somethin' (me_dork). the other thing try to do a solid three and launch very far out and get away from that thing and it's guywires. maybe do a higher guyed "A" for your first one? so you can have more time to get away from object or find a taller (over 300foot) freestander? just a thought if your nervous? not tellin' what to do or anything. heres a pic. from 700feet. half way up a 1500 footer. either way have good safe fun!NPS SUX ASS
