When I met Peter in Italy with Space, I thought to myself that Peter was the most hardcore extremist and athlete that I have ever met, by far.

Saw this guy jump into a gravel pit with that thing on Stunt Junkies.

Sketchy is not the word for it.

Canopy opened off heading. He jumped on the risers, barely made it over an outcropping....whoa.

Nice stunt.

If he had used the risers he probably would have.. He used toggles

There was no way to clear the ledge with the togles...
Basically the only way to avoid the crash was doing what he did plus a ton of luck.
This is one of the closest call on TV.

Not sure I'm following you? Are you claiming it is not possible to turn a canopy using toggle input? It sounds to me like you are...

I watched that clip probably 10 times, noticing how he used toggles to turn the canopy and how fast he was at reaching them.

If you see him using riser input we are not talking about the same clip

The reason the rocket failed on the last jump inthat film is the exact reason we hang glider pilots do not use rocket propeled parachutes anymore.

(they are called BRS)

but that was not a rocket, it was a compressed air canon.

That stunt where they rear ended a car and did a horizontal header into the back of that trailer was amazing. Very impressive. I'm assuming it was all setup and intentional.

OK, OK...... sweet 180 correction on the SDM video. he's redemed himself in my eyes... I'm sure he cares about that to.;) But for christ's sake somebody get that kid an outboard moter on his rescue boat, or at least a team of midgets to row the damn thing.

You dumb bastard.... that wasn't a rocket. It's called "the rabbit" and that little nubby thing is supposed to stay outside by her clitoris. Of course you ripped your ass! that's like pushing a large barbed spear through backwards. Next time, leave your girlfriend's toys alone if you don't know how they work!

It was an amped up version from the paragliding industry.
Paraglider pilots didn't like the extra weight. Funny thing is that the compressed air bottle manufacturers were named "Cliff Impact".

I saw that just the other day, from the camera angles the 'ledge' was clear from the bike jump... while it was a close call, I do not think it was as 'low' a BASE jump as they want you to believe.
you want me to do what???

I disagree. The bike hit around 125ft below the exit point. The 265ft That SJ titled was misleading. The ledge was at 110ft. The LZ at 265 below the exit point. Take another look at the video at the 37th second.
