TWIN FALLS - NewsChannel 7 has learned that one person died while BASE jumping at the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls Monday. Officials also tell us that two others are injured, and that it appears all three incidents happened at separate times.

Today’s accidents are not related to an incident on the bridge on Saturday.

It is unknown when the incidents happened, or where the injured were taken.

The drop from the top of the bridge span to the Snake River floor is about 476 feet.

The Perrine is one of only a handful of locations where BASE jumping is legal – and draws thousands of people to the bridge each year.

OK, I've just got the call. I met her at the Eloy boogie 2 years ago, she was such a cool chick. Strong personality with a wicked sense of humour. My thoughts with all her family and friends.

I'm going to buy a fine bottle of Argentinian dry red and have a drink in her honour.

This weekend has not been good.

I think everyone is saying the same thing im feeling right now... this weekend has been horrible, she will be sooo missed.

I know I said this in a previous post regarding the abnormal # of fatalities this weekend, but I want to take say it again to Sangiro, and to anyone else since this thread will be read by many...

Life is too short to hold grudges or resentments and for those of us who share the gift of the sky, I want to express my solidarity and love and ask for pardon for any prior offense. I feel a strong bond with my fellow skydivers and even BASE jumpers (that I've been fortunate to meet that is) and it's important for me to share that w/ you all.
