Fatality in Norway

Recommended Posts

We've jumped 3 way with you and Douggs in Voss and i founded my camera was swithed off, you said "Relax, that happens sometimes. You will film me next time."... i was dreaming about my next trip to norway there i could jump with you and Douggs again, or just hang around, trying to learn the way you're living your lives ....
Coombesy i'll be missing you.
And my close friends in base -- they do know who are you.
You are a truly alive person from the magical world of base.
Rest in peace, Coombesy.

My condolences and some warm and friendly vibes to Douggs and to all who love Coombesy.
Between two evils always pick theone never tried

So sad to hear this, R.I.P Coombesy!

Remembering talking to you at the dz in Oz watching a film of you on the foggy mountain. You were going to instruct me in Kjerag, when I was ready, so sad that you never will. Just met you a few times, but who can forget you once they've met you?!

Condolences to everyone close to him!

I met Coombesy in Lysebotn 3 years ago when I was just starting BASE jumping and he was in Norway for the first time. We hit it off well because we had similar interests in things other than jumping. I thought of him as a world class BASE jumper especially because he didn't think of himself in that way, he gave everyone an equal chance and an equal amount of shit;). Every jumper who met Coombesy in Lysebotn thought of him as part of that place. I could understand it more when he moved to Iceland by a strange coincidence and I could see how he looked at everything with an open mind and said, "where ever I lay my head that's my home". Coombesy, you are greatly missed by my friends and family.

When we went to Australia a month ago, he showed me how much he knew about and respected nature - I have never seen anything like it before. I was honoured to be able to meet Coombesy's family and friends and to see how everybody loved him. He taught me a lot about living life and not taking yourself too seriously.

Coombesy you made a big positive impact on my life and I hope that I returned the favour in some way.
You were the most pure spirit I have ever met.

Fly free my brother with my own brother when you meet him.

Here are pictures Martin put together for friends and gave me permission to post them here

You could have broken my nose any day, Coombsey ;-)
Norway wouldn't have been the same without you then, and it sure won't be now.
