Twin Falls info

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone near TF had info on camping. My definition of camping usually means sleeping on the ground and not paying money to do so. Are there any nearby national forests, BLM land, or other places where this would be acceptable?
~Thanks

Ask Tom A.

Probably you can camp under the bridge. ;)

Land at the top of the canyon, across from town, on the east side of the highway, is mostly BLM, and allows unimproved camping. Be sure to check the signs and fences and make sure you're on the unregulated BLM land before throwing yourself down. I think there are time limits, too, so you probably just want to pick up every day and roll back into town.

Camping in the bottom of the canyon is not allowed, but some people have managed to stealth camp down there for a while without getting caught. Be very careful if you try to do that. It would suck to get us all in trouble over something as silly as needing a place to sleep.
