Tom, I'm really going to miss you. Just looked out my office window at the Holiday Motel--Twin Falls won't be the same without you.

Tom, I am glad I had the opportunity to jump with you, learn from you and spend time with you in Norway last summer. I will sure miss your advice, teaching, and sense of humor. I will miss you.

Someone started a thread "it's hard to find a mentor"....

It's even harder to lose one.

That phone call is one I hope to never ever receive again.

You were my mentor, my BASE brother, but most importantly, my good friend. Thanks for the memories.

Rod

Tough one...
He was a great father-like figure. Going to miss him, his jokes, and his wealth of knowledge he has brought to BASE.

Bye Mr. Manship :( Thanks for all you have done for us.

This is a sad time for the BASE community. I wasn't close to Tom, but I did meet and jumped with him on several occasions in Twin and in Moab. The knowledge that I will never be able to fall asleep in the wee hours of my car at the Visitors Center parking lot in Twin only to know that I will be awaken by Tom doing one of his early early morning jumps will never happen again.

Fly free Tom ... we will miss you ...

Met Tom years ago when I had a life. Great guy, full of life, always positive. Will be missed.

Tom i'll miss you ... Sorry we never jumped together properly ...

I'll never forget when you came to see me at BD this year and you handed me a box and said "all my friends carry knives" ... you walked off before i could take a look in the box because somebody asked me a question.

When i opened that box and found the knife, it made me smile ... it was one of the nicest things in a fantastic week ...

It seemed to sum up the spirit of all that i like about this sport ...

Thanks mate, i'll bring you a present when i make to the skies ....

Tom,

I'll miss the early morning openings, the great hikes, but most of all the company of another good friend. Twin won't be the same. God bless!

Tom Manship, I have not known you for long, but it has been a pleasure and a privelige to share an exit point with you, at sunrise, for more than a week running, last summer.

Seeing you at Dirty Ernies for breakfast this bridgeday made my trip, I'm glad we had a chance to catch up.

Go well Tom, you will be missed, and from now I'll be dedicating every sunrise jump to you with remembrance, a thought and a smile.

my condolences to all Tom's family and friends

he is an inspiration to many
