Skydiving in Wisconsin

Wisconsin is known as America's Dairyland due to the fact that the state produces an inordinate amount of dairy products. The origins of the name of the state have been obfuscated over time, but are thought to originate from an Algonquian word meaning red river, referring to the red sandstone that lines its banks. Other theories are that it originates from one of a variety of Ojibwa words meaning "where the waters gather," "red stone place," or "great rock."
