+ the most comfy 182 out there
+ all levels of jumpers welcome
+ all disciplines welcome, including wingsuits
+ all canopy sizes welcome
+ huge LZ (the main LZ is smallish, but you can land anywhere along the runway & you get picked up)
+ better weather than Seattle, longer season, more sunny days
+ good balance of tandem & sport operations (big kudos for that!)
+ the DZO goes out of his way to cater to fun jumpers, brings in various turbine airplanes & helicopters to complement the regular 182 (I don't think I jumped at any DZ from this many different variety aircraft, including the exotic 207)
+ several boogies/events each year
+ chill atmosphere, just feels like vacation
+ no unnecessary, overly restrictive rules
+ nice clean indoor packing area
+ I was the first ever jumper to get licensed there, so bonus sentimental points ;)

This is a great drop zone to visit if you're in the area or want to make a weekend out of it. The facilities are in great condition, and the landing area is good. The scenery is amazing under canopy--great views of the river, lake, and mountains. There are lots of things to do in the area for non-jumpers, so bring the family and spend a few days.

Skydive Chelan opened in May and in the few short months they have been open they have come a long way. Their aircraft is meticulous, the owners, coaches, packers and pilots are all awesome, and the drop zone has an awesome view. They still have some kinks to work out, mainly getting their student program up and running since the Chelan jump scene still isn't very big. That being said, if you let them know that you and your friends are headed their way ahead of time, they will do everything they can to make sure that they are ready to provide you guys with an awesome time.

The hangar is nice, the landing zone is coming along (green grass coming in!) and the vibe is super chill. You can learn how to speedfly with Todd and Sonya, as well as jump helis and even play in the lake. They also have contact information for a bunk house set up just up the road if you need lodging.

This drop zone is awesome and I will definitely be back. I am very excited to see where things go for them in the next 2-3 years! Cheers to Todd and Sonya for living the dream!

Lake Chelan is geographically at a really cool place in Washington. The lake itself offers tons of recreation opportunities - I believe it is at least 52 miles long. Definitely, lots of stuff to do when you are there...At altitude, on a clear day, you will see Mt. Rainier (over 100 miles away) as well as Lake Chelan, the Columbia River and the amazing geographic transition of the mountain foothills, to the plains of Eastern Washington. Of course, the DZ owners are really cool and they are super experienced in all aspects of skydiving and rigging. I say, check it out!

I have been to Skydive Chelan a few times and love it there! Great facility’s with tons of room for packing both inside and out. Snack and water are available for purchase and they have a small gear store. They have rental equipment available, rigs and wingsuits and their prices are competitive. They jump one of the nicest 182’s I’ve ever seen, and the pilots know their stuff. Landing area is nice and big and there are plenty of outs. If you are looking for a good time east of mountains, Skydive Chelan is the place.

This Dropzone just opened up in May of this year and they seem to have it dialed in. They have a nice clean and covered packing area that is carpeted. Their main airplane at this time is a very clean Cessna 182 wide body with Snohomish jump door. They also frequently do helicopter jumps. The landing area is a work in progress but is large. Staff were very friendly and atmosphere was comfortable. They did have on-site packer and they also rent wing suits.
