Everyone who works here has thousands of jumps under their belt and it couldn't be more comforting. The staff was extremely helpful and I didn't have the slightest bit of fear or discomfort going for my first tandem skydive this past Saturday! I enjoyed the scenery and the great nature of everyone at the facility. I am strongly considering getting my AFF and would not do it with anybody else other than these guys. Hands down. They are at the very top of their class when it comes to skydiving and would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to do their first skydive, or to just skydive in general! Amazing experience, and can't wait till I come back!

I did my first tandem this past saturday. This has been something that I have always wanted to do but was always too afraid to do it.. not to mention I am super afraid of heights. Everyone there was AWESOME!! They took their time explaining everything to me and answered every question that I had. I had so much fun! I alrady bought my second tandem and I can't wait to use it. I am even thinking about getting my license. I highly recommend this place!! It's like being around family :)

The staff at Blue Ridge is amazing. They are friendly, helpful, and will go out of their way to make sure you get what you need. The hangar and packing area is awesome, lots of room, lots of light, very comfortable. This place has amazing views and the vibe at Blue Ridge is relaxed and they are very safety conscious. Highly recommended!

Last Saturday, I did something I thought I would never do and that was skydiving. My friend Brian took me to Blue Ridge Skydiving Adventures. I had an amazing experience. I knew that the Shenandoah area was a beautiful with lots of areas to hike but seeing it while you are skydiving gives you a whole different view of that area.

Melissa was the first person I spoke with and she made the check in process easy and answered a lot of my questions. She was just as nice and helpful in person as she was on the phone. I felt at easy and had a good feeling about the jump and the staff that was going to help me.
I was paired with a great instructor, Henrik. Henrik took the time to explain the whole process: the gear, what we would be doing, even took me to a plane to show what we needed to do in the plane prior to the jump and how to get into proper position for the jump. He found me a jumpsuit and gloves to wear and made sure I was properly suited up. With all of these instructions, it was easy to trust him and just relax during the preparation for the jump, the plane ride up and the whole jump. I was able to deploy the parachute, steer, make turns and make a pretty easy landing.

After the jump, everyone made sure I was okay - coming off the adrenaline rush. Charlie, the owner, also provided some feedback on my jump and landing to make it better. Henrik was pleased with my performance and felt that I could take the next step with a solo jump.

It is the little things that make an experience amazing and this is what Blue Ridge Skydiving provided. The staff and fellow jumpers were all providing support to me as a first time jumper, answer all of my questions, no matter how small it was, talking about their own jumps, tips to having a good jump and congratulating me on a successful jump.

I watched other jumps after mine and saw Henrik working with another first time jumper who he was going to do a Tandem jump with. The staff treated everyone the same way – helping them to have successful jumps, what they need to do to be better, joking with each other and making sure the equipment was properly prepared. It felt like a family and made the experience even better.

It has been a week since my jump and I am still amazed about the whole experience: jump, those who helped me and jumped with me. I would highly recommend Blue Ridge Skydiving Adventures to anyone who wanted to skydive.

I did a tandem at Blue Ridge last last year and was immediately hooked. The staff is incredibly attentive and very professional. Because of the great atmosphere and amazing location (the scenery doesn't get much better in VA), I decided to start AFF at Blue Ridge a few weeks ago. Due to weather conditions I wasn't able to do my Cat A jump until this past weekend. The jump was a blast and I look forward to completing AFF at this location. The ground training/instruction was taught well and I couldn't have felt more comfortable when I got in the air. One of the major reasons I decided to train at Blue Ridge is because of their smaller size. When I was doing my Cat A and B ground training, I was receiving 1-on-1 instruction. You definitely won't get "lost in the shuffle" at Blue Ridge. I highly recommend training here if you are thinking about getting licensed - I've had a great experience so far and look forward to many more jumps at this DZ.

Great drop zone for tandems and fun jumpers a like. Charlie runs a smooth operation very friendly and inviting. He operates a very safe tandem operation, you can tell safety is his biggest priority.

Great experience, finished my AFF program their, you can get trough your AFF very fast here I did all my jumps with the same coach! Was getting in like 4 jumps a day. Got my license there.

Charlie & Melissa, my coach Colin are great people go jump with them!

Off the bat I got great vibes from this DZ. Charlie, Melissa and the pilot were all friendly and professional, and the Shenandoah Valley is breathtaking...

As a newly licensed skydiver I was a little anxious for my first jump at a new DZ, but Charlie and his crew went out of their way to teach me and make me feel comfortable. I was given a thorough briefing of the landing area and the plane, and Charlie even spent time teaching me to pack my rig.

Not only was the scenery incredibly stunning, but the atmosphere was laid back and people friendly.. Definitely can't imagine a better spot in VA.

This DZ is right out of an old painting. When you drive past the corn fields and into the airport you think of those beautiful old photos of small airports from the past. Once your out of the car you just look around and see the mountains it is just breathtaking. It's even better from the air. There is plenty of heated and AC packing area and an amazingly friendly staff that makes you feel like part of the family right away. The landing area was clear and groomed with no surprises and plenty big with "outs" if needed. My experience here was one of my favorite so far. I hope to see you out there as this will be my new home DZ.

Blue Ridge Skydiving is a must see drop zone.

Hanger has an awesome packing floor and clean facilities.

As a licensed fun jumper, Charlie and Melissa will keep the plane turning all day long so you can get up and jump. The valley under canopy is just breathtaking....definitely enjoy the ride down.

Fun jumpers come out to Blue Ridge you won't be disappointed.

You will be hard pressed to find a more beautiful place to jump. You will want to enjoy the view on the way up, as well as down. I've gotten to jump with new, very experienced jumpers each time I've gone, very fun people. Come out to the country, the more the merrier.

Absolutely Incredible Jump!
Had an awesome sunset jump (my 2nd tandem) and definitely everything plus some!!! Love the staff! Though the airplane is small, I was extremely pleased that I didn't find it being held together with duct tape, as with my first jump! Loved BRSA so much...it's time to reap their services & get certified! HELLOOOO Blue Skies!
Pay them a visit you won't be disappointed!!!

This was my second tandem but first at this location. I enjoyed this experience much more. The staff was extremely friendly and made you feel right at home. Safety of course is their first priority. I liked the fact that they not only want you to have a fun experience but also want to teach you in the process. I got to operate the canopy for a bit and that was amazing. I'm even thinking about AFF! Top notch DZ!

I have grown up on a Cessna DZ, so I really could care less about whether there is a turbine here. The staff is incredibly friendly, proficient, and professional and do not care whether you have high jump numbers or are newly licensed (like me). The briefings are positive, but thorough, and the pilots really like flying. I jumped in both October and November and have never seen such a view from under canopy. The DZO was one of my AFF instructors and he is a very thorough, positive, and creative teacher. Coaching and packing services are available, too. If you like a laid back and peaceful place to jump, you need to check this place out!

I came up to BRSA on a Sunday because a friend was going to jump there as well.

At first it threw me off how small the operation was. However I learned to love it. It's great the friendly staff made me feel right at home. I had lost my A-license previously in the month when I had lost my wallet but it wasn't an issue. A few phone calls and they knew I was up to date. The DZO came out and gave me a quick briefer and showed me the facility.

Fortunately there were a few fun jumpers showing up so we could keep the prop turning all day. If you head out there to jump (call ahead) bring a friend or two and you can almost have the plane exclusively if there aren't tandems booked. Their 182 is actually one of the roomier ones I've been in, and surprisingly has no duct tape inside. Also the owner will sometimes come out and hop on a load with you as well.

So if you are looking for one of the most beautiful places to jump or just a fun little family dz tucked away in a beautiful part of Virginia this place is awesome. It's definitely one of the most gorgeous DZ's in the fall.

There's plenty of local places to camp and hike so if you have non skydiving friends they will have plenty to do in the area.

I completed my AFF certification in 3 weeks at BRSA and have to say I didn't have a single problem. The Cessna is quite small to learn in but they provide the time and space you need to prepare and feel comfortable. Appreciated receiving such personal attention and always had a few people to answer any questions, and more importantly, never felt overwhelmed or distracted. Amazing views, fairly easy landing area, and safety was always top priority. Really accommodating and supportive staff and very happy to have gotten certified start to finish there!

Operating in its first year, Blue Ridge Skydiving Adventures (BRSA) is owned by a dynamic husband/wife team whose respective roles as instructor and manifest manager provide a smooth rhythm and outstanding ops tempo during jumping hours. Outstanding Instruction is thorough, challenging but not difficult!! Instructor is superbly assisted by another outstanding instructor who is an Instructor Examiner, FAA rated Master Rigger and AFFI. Both instructors have a unique way of teaming producing a singular and consistent instructional voice. Instruction is in full accordance and compliance with the standards of the USPA SIM. Students are provided a pre-jump brief covering all expectations and tasks required during the training jump to pass to the next level. The post jump debriefs and evaluations are comprehensive, fair, and highly constructive. Instructors are always available to answer questions during times of self study and practice in between training jumps. Be on time for training! Respect the instructor’s time as they respect the time of their students. The training day begins with a rigorous round of emergency procedures. All training equipment is in excellent condition and impeccably maintained. Packing area is large, very clean, and well maintained. More than sufficient notification is provided for the student to prepare for the next training jump.
Nestled in between the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountain Ranges, the view under canopy is spectacular.
My wife and I count ourselves fortunate to have discovered Blue Ridge Skydiving Adventures for our AFF training. With each weekend, we see new faces of licensed skydivers showing up and we think for good reason. The word is getting out that BRSA is a great drop zone.

What a great experience, family like environment.
Safety is first and foremost, equipment is topnotch. I went up two weeks ago but the weather was questionable,so Charlie called it off.
He said he wanted my first jump to be fun and not scary with a lot of turbulence. I was a little sad,but today I see what he meant by that. It was a nice smooth ride with a great view. Knowledgeable staff, safe equipment, great location!

I was in town visiting my sister and this place was right down the road. I had never jumped from a 182 and wanted to try that as well. I came in I had 2 jumps left to finish off my A card. We got both jumps in and I became the frist license they have issued. I also got a good packing lesson inbetween jumps and jumped my first pack job. All in all it was just a great time. Small family vibe, very relaxing. If your in the area it would be well worth your time to stop out and get a jump or two in. My only regret was not taking them up on the offer to get ice cream afterwards, I was getting texts from my sister that dinner was ready and they were waiting on me before they ate.

Did 2 jumps at BRSA today; one from 9.5k and the other 3.5k due to clouds.

The view of the valley is gorgeous during the climb, free fall, and under canopy.

This was my first time in a Cessna, which was smaller than I am used to but it got the job done! I believe there will be a King Air there starting mid May.

Staff was professional; gave me a full orientation of hanger/manifest/landing areas.

Good group of people, stop by and make some jumps

Got a real treat - jumping on the FIRST load to take off at a new DZ! Their wide-body Cessna 182 is comfortable and has tons of windows all around to look out of + they are getting a King Air for this summer... the packing area is large, and for a small DZ the landing area is huge! The views are amazing - between two mountain ranges so really great vistas. It is a new place and has nowhere to go but up from here (pun intended!). I had a great time there and know all the folks who work there are real professionals.
