I am doing a summer college program down the road and found out about VSA. I called and spoke to Heather and it sounded as if she was describing the DZ from "Fandango" and I told her so. We both laughed but it really has that casual feel (without the jackass-ery in Fandango of course). Ole and his crew were pros and very friendly. They stay busy with tandems and Ole was telling me they just celebrated 20 years and it is no wonder. Great folks with great scenery - no "sky gods" preening around the packing mats or talking smack. Just regular folks with a passion for jumping.
On the downside it is a Cessna DZ, of which they have 2. SO we managed a 5 way from a 182 but if you are looking to to a big way VSA is not the place.
Bottom line, I will and would jump here again. If you can check them out.

Moved to Vermont a year and a half ago and felt nothing but welcomed by the good folks at VSA. Happy to call it my current DZ. I work there and I play there. Wish there were more lift power, but the cessnas they have are in great shape and super fast for their kinds. Also, the landing area has nice soft grass due to the fertilization from the donkey poo...

I've been jumping at VSA since the completion of my AFF course and there is never a dull moment. Staff goes above and beyond to help you and are all about the students. If your looking for a place without "cliques" or huge ego's, VSA is the place to go.

Great place to learn how to skydive. Relaxed, noncompetetive. Lots of experience to soak up.

I should emphasize that I am a newbie, and went to Vermont Skydiving Adventures to try out the sport by doing a tandem jump, but the experience was so positive, I'm already planning on doing AFF training next year. The place is very low-key yet very professional and extremely friendly. It could not have been a better experience. My only complaint is that it was a long haul for me to get there, but it's a gorgeous spot with top-notch people.
