I love Skydive Ogden. The ride to altitude is beautiful, the people are great, and there is running water and a large packing area. They fly a modified caravan, and a 182. The DZO's Brian & Suzanne are the best!

I visited Ogden on my Quest to jump in all 50 States; my only request was to make a clear-and-pull jump. The manifestor's attitude to my request was negative--she told me that I would have to ask the pilot (!?) if I could make a low jump. She informed me that I would have to ride the aircraft to altitude and, maybe, I would be allowed to exit at a lower altitude. I've been skydiving for a long time in a lot of places and I've never heard such BS. I left Ogden without making a skydive.

We are from Montana and due to weather we had to reschedule our jump for the next day. When the next day came around the weather was bad against we had to wait it out. The staff kept us up to date and called us frequently on updates because we live out of town and they made us a priority. The staff at sky dive Ogden was super friendly and they all had a great sense of humor! The instructions were easy and the landing was smooth. If you get motion sickness I would definitely recommend taking Dramamine or putting on a motion sickness patch before jumping. I would recommend sky dive Ogden to anyone considering it! We will be back!

The ride up and over the mountains is quite nice, I have to say. Especially if you are there during the fall when the landscape is painted with a sea of red, yellow, and orange. The vibe is definitely relaxed and chill; friendly people there to facilitate the fun. As others have mentioned, it isn't the busiest spot for fun jumpers, but that never bothers me. The bottom line is this is a great dropzone. I think it would be your loss not to check it out.

I went to the Bear Lake Boogie on leave. I didn't know anybody there. I got to jump with other people every jump. Even got in a ten way. The hospitality was remarkable. I'm glad I made the 13 hour drive.

I jumped here for the first time ever this year. It's a smaller DZ but seems to run efficiently. I had to make 2 solo jumps the day I came because there was no fun jumpers. Had nice facilities for its size. Landing area was on the smaller size. If you are a fun jumper, I hope you have patience. It was clear there focus was tandems(on that day at least). It was a nice place, just wish there would have been ppl to jump with.

I've been jumping since Nov 2005. I feel like I have a "new" home, and it's about time I say something here! I just love Suzanne & Brian. They give the place a laid back, calm, friendly vibe. Everyone is helpful, makes you feel welcome, and very friendly. Really can't say enough nice things about these folks! Come out and try Skydive Ogden!!

Very cool DZ. I especially liked the mister that runs along the bottom of the hangar door to keep you cool. Smaller DZ but has all the facilities of large DZs- concessions, nice packing area, etc. Climb to altitude takes you over the mtns and freefall gives a good view of either the mtns or the Salt Lake. Nice GCaravan too. Only con is that the close landing area is a lushious green spot for D license only, everyone else lands out in the infield (much larger) and has to wait to get waved across the taxiway.

Made my first jump in 29 years. Everyone, from the jumpers to the owner to the tandem master were nothing but 100% helpful and friendly. This experience could not have been better. I highly recommend this DZ. My only regret, I should of booked my jump earlier in the day so that I could of made another one! But, "I'll be back".

I did my AFF program through the Ogden skydiving center and was very pleased with their professionalism. Brian and Suzanne were always willing to answer every stupid little question that anybody would ask them. I now have about 35 jumps, and I still love skydive Ogden. Everyone at the dropzone, employee or not, is always willing to jump with me, or lend me any advice I need on the sport. Also, if you do something stupid,(which I have), the people are not afraid to let you know, and give you constructive criticism. I feel very safe at this dropzone, and will continue to jump there for a good long time.

I just jumped there today and I have to say that this is a dropzone not to be missed. The people are great. Suzanne makes you feel right at home and goes out of her way to take care of visitors. The aircraft is well maintained and air conditioned. The packing area is huge and there is plenty of covered seating for spectators.

I stopped by there a few months ago when I was traveling through Utah. When I walked in everyone was friendly and they told me if I could get ready that I could get on the next load. They waited for me and I was in the air in about a half an hour. Caravan is great and the scenery in beautiful. Everyone was friendly and if I am ever in the area I will stop by again. Thanks to everyone at Ogden Skydiving Center.

I was traveling through the area, and was excitied that there was a well established dz. The owners were helpful but I was turned off by the general attitude of the staff towards visiting jumpers. Our sport is too special and small to act like they acted. As a dzo I would be embarassed if my employees displayed anything but hospitable feelings towards new or visiting jumpers.

SkyDive Ogden is my home DZ and where I learned to Fly. The Instructors are awesome. I am truly grateful that my ground school instructor, Annette, was very firm in teaching ( being a bitch is how she says it )the seriousness of what I was about to embark on.

Everyone at SkyDive Ogden, from Brian and Suzanne all the way down to the packers ( way to many cool people to name!)are willing to help you not only have the greatest time of your life but that you also live to REMEMBER your greatest time of your life!

I have since made several jumps at DZ's in Vegas and mesquite, which made me truly appreciate what SkyDive Ogden has to offer.

I've been jumping here for the last 3 years, and am proud to call it my home dropzone. It's not just the jumping, but the entire atmosphere you're into. Other jumpers are usually pretty quick to call each other out if they see something amiss on safety- doesn't happen too often, but it's nice to know that people are watching, and got your back.

HUGE student landing area, and a really nice grass landing zone for the D-license holders. Great food. The turbine caravan is a great plane (1987, I think, making it REALLY new, and I've never had a bad spot) I really have no complaints.

This DZ has seen some explosive growth in the last couple years, and I'm really impressed how the staff has adapted. Even days that are really stupidly busy, I'm still greeted with a smile and a hug. As far as I'm concerned, this is by far the best DZ in Utah, and it's only getting better.

Come on out if you want the best. Just step into the big red hangar!

HI,

I just wanted to email you right quick and thank you for the great experience i had this weekend thanks to you all. I made my first tandem jump this morning, on my way back to Idaho, i stopped off at your dropzone. I dont have to tell you how completely nervous i was before boarding the plane but once i was up in the air i was so ready to jump. I owe that to your staff. Thanks to Lance for making me feel at ease and also to the camera guy "Axel". Another guy who really made me feel relaxed, even though he was camera guy for the other tandem jump, was I think his nickname was Suga. Crazy guy, he made me laugh the whole way up. He definately should be on that plane everytime someone is doing their first jump...hahaha.... Also thanks to the lady who took my money, and helped me sign my life away, literally :). I never got her name (that's how nervous i was). She was the first one who really finally helped me decide to jump. She was very sweet and very encouraging. THANK YOU ALL!!!

P.S. Your website should have a section where we can leave testimonials, i think it would really help those people who want to make their first jumps but need a little encouragement from those of us who've already jumped!! Anyways, just a thought.

Been there Done that, (thanks to you :))

I had the opportunity to jump here last weekend while on business. The facilities are very clean with plenty of indoor packing space. The staff is fabulously friendly and accomodating. The Caravan climbs quickly and the scenery is amazing. I was a little concerned by the lack of gear checks before boarding the plane, however. An established landing pattern would help, too.

These concerns aside, I would defenitely reccomend it. Not getting a gear check because your afraid to ask for one is weak and further asks whether you should be jumping anyway. However, if the issue of gear checks was pressed a little more, I would be more inclined to rate them a 4 or 5. See you on my next Utah trip!

Skydive Ogden has great facilities. However, the owner is a bit relaxed on safety. There is no established landing pattern making approaches quite frightening. They also don't participate in USPA's "safety day" in March - nor do they have a designated Safety Officer. I wish the owner, Brian, and the rest of his staff would raise the bar a little more on safe jumping practices.

If you are looking for a down to earth, beatiful place to Jump, Skydive Odgen is the place. I must say that the staff, and local jumpers are the friendliest I've dealt with. Skydive Odgen has a great plane, quaint facilities, and the owners are top notch to deal with (very accommodating). The view is incredible!

Although I havnt any other DZ to compare to, Skydive Ogden has got to be one of the nicest. I went though my AFP training here and the staff and people are always willing to give advice and help you out with any questions you may have. The two J/M's (brian & phil) are very professional when it comes to your training and make you feel comfortable and confident with the tasks at hand during you training. All in all a great DZ to jump at!!!!
