Skydiving in February! Errrrr YEAH! We went for my wife's birthday gift. It was incredible! First time for both of us. My wife Melissa, Jumped with Laura Miller, and I jumped with Bob Stephen. Beautiful location over looking the Atlantic Ocean, Intercoastal waterway, near Baldhead island. The jump was easy, and landing even easier! No clouds in the sky's, temp 60, 5-10 mph winds. Highly recommend this location! I'm hooked, and have my other jumps planned soon!

Been to this place twice, haven't been able to skydive yet. First time, ok, weather, not their fault. Second time, the person I needed to dive with due to weight/balance wasn't there. Ok, so I came over a month ago already filled out my paper work called last week and again today no one bothered to let me know before I drove nearly 4 hours to get to you that I once again was not going to be able to dive?!? Absolutely poor customer services and zero organization to their business. Now I've driven a total of 14 hours (there and back twice) and paid for two nights in hotels near the area, and still have not been skydiving. Hey guys guess what, this is a tourist attraction not just something people who live down the road wake up and decide to go do one day, get your act together!

The Cessna 182 is decent but all they have. Not a bad DZ, just more of a mom and pop kind of place. Most of the business is tandems and you will always wait or get booted for walk-in tandems. Large grassy landing area but small (though indoor) packing area.

Jumped here a few times and had my wife do a tandem with Laura, who was awesome, caring and professional. Nice view of the ocean. If you live close by, great DZ. If not, make the drive to Raeford or Myrtle Beach to jump.

Made my first jump (tandem) after a 35 year layoff. These folks really have their act together. Great environment, fast plane, outstanding scenery, stellar instruction. I felt very welcome and at ease. My instructor Laura was amazing. I highly recommended this Drop Zone.

This place is awesome, I felt very safe. The instructors really want you to have the time of your life. They were right on time getting up and jumping. I will definitely be going back until the money runs out.

This is a great mom and pop dropzone. Amazing views, amazing people. I had 3 cousins who wanted to do tandems, so I called this dropzone up and asked them if they would let me come along on the jumps. They had reservations over the phone (as I would expect any good dropzone to) so I went down to meet everyone. After talking to the DZO and tandem masters, and explaining my experience (150 jumps and a coach rating), they agreed to let me come along and it was great. They had 2 tandem instructors who were both the nicest and coolest people you've ever met. The DZO was great too. The only con I could possibly think of is that they only have cessnas (which isn't even really a con). However, they get to altitude about as fast as an otter, and the views on the way up are awesome. I didn't get a chance to do the beach jumps, so I'll definitely be back! ABSOLUTELY recommend!

This was my first skydive and start of my AFF using a tandem progression. I was reluctant at first wanting to do non-tandem instruction. Laura (my instructor) was excellent in explaining the differences. She was very professional and very experienced not to mention HOT! I would recommend her and Skydive Coastal Carolinas to anyone! Even though the plane looked shotty, it ran fine and did the job.

As a newly C licensed skydiver I just had to jump the beach! So I sent a few pushy emails to this dropzone and headed down with four jumpers and two observers! After 5 hours of driving we showed up not knowing a soul! We were immediately greeted with smiles and open arms. We were given a place to sleep, plenty of space on the plane, and invited to dinner! The jumps were fantastic, the staff was great, and I can not say enough about the hospitality!

Nice, open landing area! And the beach jumps.....AMAZING! Do not pass up this dz! This is one we will visit again but this time bring the camper and stay a week!

This most likely would have got a 5 rating for fast rigging and great people, but I was EXTREMELY disappointed that I was not made aware of a 3 jumper minimum before getting on the aircraft. I was only told I needed to pay for my instructors ticket...which was fine with me. What I was not told was when I was paying, was that my first jump was 75 dollars for me, the instructor and an EMPTY SEAT.

The turbo 182 got to altitude quick, view was great and staff were down to earth. Just watch for the "3" jumper minimum.

This is the best DZ I have been around in a while. I didn't see the king air when I was there. I didn't ask either. I was so happy to see a mom and pop operation. some of the DZ's I have been to so far have all this madness going on that makes them suck. who cares if they have indoor padded packing area and great big planes that get to altitude fast. I would rather be happy and have fun than to have all the ammenties. usually the big DZ's like that suck because of the people. too many clicks and uptight, god like staff. Everyone at Skydive Coastal Carolinas is friendly. Great views, great landing area, reasonbly priced. Bring Cash! no peas though, maybe one day they will make a pea pit. they put out an X if you ask them too. I definaly plan to come to this DZ more often. I live in charlotte! I am very pleased with this DZ. If you are used to a political clickish DZ then stay there don't come and infect my fun.

How many places that you have jumped where you can see the Atlantic Ocean, the ICW, and a beautiful lighthouse from altitude. The view alone is worth the visit to Skydive Coastal Carolinas. I haven't been around the sport very long, but this is an excellent dropzone. Good people, clear blue skies, and a great environment. What else could you ask for!!!!

A Turbine KING AIR A90 has been added to the full time fleet with (2) custom painted C182's. Roll up door, bench seat, carpet and handrail included with 15 min. climb to
14,000 for $20.00. The beautiful sceenery taken in is worth the ticket. Come visit a rapid growing, friendly, no clicks DZ. All disciplines welcome! This is not an advertisment but an invitation from a regular paying jumper.

This is a beautiful picturesque DZ. Intracoastal waterway at the end of the runway and the Beach facing south is less than a mile off the runway. Located in Oak Island City limits 30 min. south of Wilmington NC. 45 min. from N. Myrtle Beach SC. It doesn't have a full time turbine yet but the beautiful scenery and beach jumps are well worth the difference. A very friendly and highly experienced staff. They have one beautifully painted 182 and a second one in the paint shop now. There is shaded packing in the carpeted hanger and video availiable for your Jumps. Plenty of camping, Food and motels within 2 miles of the airport. Aiport landing for jumpers with less than 100 jumps. There are several regular landing Spots at the beach, but the pier is most enjoyable, (Restaurant and bar on pier) We Have even packed in the bar. I'm a regular with 20yrs in the sport and drive here instead of driving to two Otters and Casa thats only a 15 min. Farther trip. Come visit! You won't regret It.
