Skydive Mesquite

The good, the bad and the ugly. First the good, great staff very friendly, feels more like a skydiving club then a dropzone, great landing area right in front of the hangar, plane pulls up real close and great view of some real interesting terrain. The bad, it's in the middle of nowhere, Cessna 182 so small loads and a long climb time, the airport is on sort of a platue so if you miss the the airport your in pretty unforgiving terrain, very small packing area. The ugly, from the ground this place looks like hell on earth but in the air is a much different picture. Overall though this is a great small dropzone and I enjoyed it very much, even though it was a hour from Vegas it was well worth the trip and next time I find myself anywhere even close to Mesquite I'll definately be dropping by. This place was fun check it out.

Considering I went through AFF there I might be a little biased, but seriously the people there are so awesome and helpfull. Once I got off AFF I had no trouble finding people to jump with and I never once had to pay for a coaching jump. The facilities aren't the greatest on the DZ but two casinos are within a mile. If you in Vegas, especially during a boogie go jump at SD Mesquite and rage out at one of the near by casinos at night.

This is a experienced friendly DZ.The landing area is tight,but I've seen worse. They have a C-208 that flies on weekends and there are some nice fun jumpers around.

During a recent trip to Las Vegas I decided to make the trek north to get my freefall fix. The people are warm and friendly and Brad was awesome! He showed me the aerial photo, described the pattern, and had many helpful tips for a right on landing. The view from altitude is amazing, and the golf course next door makes it fun gliding in over the whuffo golfers on the base leg! Back on the ground I even got friendly packing assistance from one of the DZ regulars. You won't find all the facilities common at some of the larger DZ's, but if you enjoy jumping with friendly people who are passionate about skydiving, be sure to make the short drive to Mesquite if you're ever in the area!

The owner, Brad is very courteous, professional and caring. The core group of regulars share this phylosophy and share experience, video, and know how to party. The view is one of the most spectacular! I recomend anyone that skydives and visits Vegas to take the drive and meet Brad and jump at "Skydive Mesquite", bring the camera!

i was just at skydive mesquite for their sweetheart boogie. It was my first time meeting a lot of the folks down there, but everybody was up for conversation and instruction. brad runs the place great. he had a helecopter there for us, and is the best load organizer ever. he keeps the fun going and is a very loving/ no-nonsense guy. thanks for the good times! even if the weather wasn't so great, i had a blast.

my daughter and i are half way thru our aaf instructions. Brad and Sher are great people to work with. Our lessons have been thorough and enjoyable. we are excited to get thru the lessons and be able to jump on our own shortly. we were at the facility when they held a boogie and it was awsome to be around the divers and watch them display their talents.

I went to this dropzone for two straight weekends while I was in Vegas and it thouroughly impressed me. It is very well run and the environment and people are great. I have visited about 20 DZs in the last two years and this was by far the place where I had the best time. I only wish I had a home DZ like this.

Just visited for the first time. Had a great weekend. Short calls and quick altitude. Brad and the crew do a nice job running the DZ. The people were a blast to be around too! I plan on many more trips to SD Mesquite. Blue Skies

I was in Vegas on Vacation and found that SD Mesquite is the only decent place for experienced jumpers. The people were great, Brad runs a well organized and friendly business. I rented my gear and found it to be excellent. They had a Caravan and the 182 with a friendly and knowledgable pilot. I would recommend this place to anyone. I was cold because I am from Puerto Rico...
