I have been there twice now tandem jump on both trips. Brought 4 people with me first trip and just me and the Girl friend on second trip.

Was very pleased both times I have been, they go out of their way to make sure everything is kept fun and upbeat while making sure you know what to expect and do. My girl was grinning like a crazy woman after she landed and cant wait to jump again.

Great staff, always alot of people there with lots of fun and hustling around.

I decided to check out Gold Coast Skydivers since it is close to my home, about 25 minutes away. I first contacted the staff through Facebook and they pointed me in the right direction. I made an appointment for the Accelerated Freefall (AFF) Program and showed up at the appointed time. Brian was our first instructor of the day. He was both knowledgeable and patient with us (there were 3 AFF students that morning). Brian walked us through the class material and ensured that all of our questions were fully answered. Once we completed our classroom instruction and practical exercises, Phil took over and walked us through aircraft procedures and safety. He walked us through a proper aircraft exit and reiterated safety and cut away procedures. After we reviewed all of the material, Karen took over and did a last second check to ensure that each of us understood instructor hand signals, proper arching, safety, and cut away procedures. Once Karen was satisfied, we were ready to go. Phil and Eric were the two instructors that jumped with me. Both were friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and had a sense of humor. I felt very safe in their hands. We boarded the aircraft, Phil walked me through various procedures, and once we reached altitude, I took up my position and exited the aircraft. Both Phil and Eric were by my side, constantly giving me instruction and feedback. Once on the ground (I ended up in the cow pasture across from the airfield), Phil came and got me and we walked back to the building. The three of us reviewed my jump from start to finish and I was cleared for Level II. All in all, it was a very positive experience. The entire staff is welcoming, the atmosphere is fun, and I really enjoyed the entire day. I will be heading back this weekend to continue with the program!

Back in the saddle again after 10 years and everyone was fantastic! Made me feel comfortable and at home. Knowledgeable and helpful. Laid back, but professional. Good landing area and fair weather. A must go!

Made my first jump with Gold coast in 2012 with a group from CBC Gulfport. Started the Aff Training. Deployed to Afghanistan. Returned in April 2013 earned my A license, working on my B License have 69 Jumps all at Gold coast Skydivers. Thanks to Karen, JC, Bill, Pauli, Leeann, Ben, Steve, Phil, Julie, and many more for the advice, Training, Coaching, and fun. Your average conservative fun jumper, Steve.

Gold Coast has a great location and the staff is focused on providing skydivers with the best possible experience. Within an hour of arriving -- having never jumped there before -- I was getting out of the Super Otter. Leanne Igo is a first-class DZO.

My very first time skydiving and it was the best feeling ever! Matt & Sean were very comforting. I never got scared or nervous. They had me smiling the whole time. My video was perfect. The whole experience was amazing! I loved it. Cant wait to jump again!

I jumped at Gold Coast for about seven months..wish it was a longer stay but I got stationed elsewhere. The dz has a wonderful staff and a lot of great fun jumpers. I wish I could go back.
It definitely made Mississippi an awesome place to be stationed, even just for a few months. Miss you guys!

Gold Coast Skydivers is a very friendly place. They welcomed me and my family to ther place of business. Even though I was the only one jumping they made us all feel welcome and very comfortable. I was we'll educated on what I needed to do on my 1st jump and felt really safe. About choosing them as my drop zone. I highly recommend them as a whole family experience! And I will be back in July for my 2nd jump with Gold Coast Skydivers!

My first jump was this past weekend and WOW is all I can say. My instructor was AWESOME and he made me feel completely safe and at ease. He told me exactly what to do, what to expect, and what I would feel. I didn't have time to be scared! My videographer was cool and I was super impressed with the video and photos. The entire staff seems like a fun group and they are welcoming to everyone - experienced or novice. I highly recommend this to anyone! Thanks Gold Coast! Can't wait for my next visit :)

We were on a road trip for military training and wanted to swing by for one jump. the people were great and the location was wonderful! Only downfall was we were in a huge rush to get back on the road, waited an hour for a packer to pack our rigs, and ended up walking out because she failed to tell us how long it would be/students and tandems were ahead of us. Needless to say we threw our unpacked rigs in the trunk and went on our way.... It would be a great place to hang out for the weekend but not for a quick jump.

We sent the DZ a message we would be coming to their dropzone and where we were from. They opened the facilities for us and made us feel welcome.

Everyone on the staff was exceptionally courteous, and took time to make us feel welcome. All smiles and laughs while checking our books and gear.

Had to laugh a little when I opened the door on one load on the red light and when I leaned out to take a look at the spot heard the local jumpers shouting not yet. They new my jump numbers and were just looking out for me!
Great fun, my friends and I will be back!

Im a new jumper with only 40 jumps under my belt, but from the second I got the DZ everyone was extremely friendly and made me feel right at home. The facilities are awesome and the landing area is huge and grassy! The plane was great and the view was awesome too, could actually see the Gulf on the ride up. The DZO Leanne was amazingly friendly from the start, even took it upon herself to ask if I wanted someone to jump with and then went and found me two great guys, Dennis and Bill, to go do a 3 way with. I was blown away with the hospitality, professionalism, and over all quality of this dropzone and the people that go there. I'm from Idaho and they weren't lying when they bragged about their Southern Hospitality. Can't wait to make it back down there!

This was my first time in a plane, and my first tiny skydiving. The appreciated that, and made it an experience to remember. You're embraced with the sense of safety and professionalism, which is most definitely a feeling you want to have, especially at 14,000 feet. The people their make you feel like family, and take their jobs serious. The facility is far nicer than I expected it to be. I am already recommending friends and family to come dive. I know I sure will be going again! Thanks Gold Coast for everything...see ya soon!!!

I’m writing this only as a rebuttal to a review from August 28th 2012. Small Plane? Did they have a 182 filling in for the day? Every time I’ve jumped there is was almost always a Twin Otter or something with about the same lift capacity. Unless that particular jumper is at a DZ with a C-130 I have no idea what on earth he or she is talking about. Anyway, if you’re thinking about paying a visit to Gold Coast you won’t be disappointed. Great people, GREAT PLANE with a new paint job from what I understand, Snack Bar, Camping, clean restrooms, good size landing area, knowledgeable staff with a nice rounded contingent of fun jumpers. What I’m mean by that is it isn’t over run by just one discipline. Mike Igo used to own and operate it, God rest is soul, he was a great man and he ran in my opinion one of the most well oiled machines in the industry. He must have been a great teacher because the place hasn’t lost a beat since his passing. The next time I’m around South Mississippi I will be jumping at Gold Coast Skydivers.

Gold Coast is just awesome! From setting my appointment to getting my video and pictures to me within minutes of landing, the whole experience could not have been better. If you are a first timer, this is the place to go. The staff help you remain calm and keep you informed of everything you need to know. The jump experience is just awesome. I booked my next jump before I left. Its that good!

Since I began coming to Gold Coast, it's been well worth the 3 hour drive for me on weekends. The entire DZ has been very welcoming, and I've had memorable skydives in virtually every discipline. On-site food is very good and reasonably priced. They're happy to allow you to sleep in the packing hanger when weather is less than ideal. The shower set-up is the nicest I've ever seen at a DZ, with everything provided. Best thing about the DZ though, is that the clouds are often ideal for wingsuiting.

On Nov. 18th, I made my first tandem jump with my niece and daughter. It was absolutely the best time of my life. Gold Coast Skydivers are very professional and down to earth good people. I never felt like a stranger from the moment I got there. I have plans now to go through the AFF course in the spring. Everyone needs to jump at least once. My thanks to everyone at Gold Coast Skydivers for making my experience one that will last a lifetime.

I recently jumped for my first time and the experience was amazing! The staff at Gold Coast were very friendly and made the entire day more enjoyable. I truly thank them for their professionalism and lighthearted approach to what started out as a very nerve-racking experience. I will absolutely return to them each time I want to re-live that amazing day.

If you've been wondering about taking that first "leap", Gold Coast Skydivers is the place to do it! The staff is extremely professional, laid back...they seem like family and make you feel right at home. I cannot believe I waited so long to make my first jump. I will be back! Thanks to Leanne (owner), Ben (my instructor), Vince (my videographer) and everyone else there who helped make this experience one of a lifetime. I'm bringing the crew soon!

FACILITIES: Lets start with the gear store, rather small and not much inventory (to be expected small DZ), the food shop is next and its delicious. Manifest/office/packing area, the packing area is a little cramped but it does have AC, the office is nice and the two women behind the counter are a pleasure to deal with, and manifesting is a piece of cake. Landing area is grass and perfectly mowed and very large.

AIRPLANE: Twin Otter looks to be well maintained and on par with most other jump planes. The padded floor is a plus.

STAFF: VERY friendly, very helpful and overall just good people. Packers are nice and very easy to work with.

CROWD: The group of fun jumper i was there with were great, very nice to a passer by like myself, hospitable and willing to include me on their jumps.

OVERALL: One of my favorite DZ's, has the feel of a small Cessna dz but with an Otter. Love this place see yall again.

My daughter wanted to skydive for her 18th birthday, and Gold Coast Skydivers was awesome! They were professional, courteous, and very safety conscious. The optional video was fantastic and celebrated her birthday in style. This is everything you are looking for in a company. I give them my highest recommendation!

I brought three of my cousins here to go skydiving yesterday. We drove in from New Orleans, arrived around 4pm and had fun watching the other jumpers land while we waited for our turn. I definitely recommend watching the other jumpers if you have any reservations about jumping - seeing the tandem and solos land without injury definitely made it look easy. Our instructors were also well versed at helping people relax. They joked around with us and got us talking during the plane ride up, which I'm pretty sure would have been nerve wracking otherwise. Then you're free-falling until your parachute opens and you have some time to admire the trees before gliding in for a landing. Will be going again!
