This was the greatest experience of my life! I was nervous during certain times, but the people were really friendly and helped calm my nerves. The people here are really easy-going and like to joke around a lot, which is always helpful. I've recommended this place to all of my friends and am looking forward to going back ASAP!

As it was my first time jumping,DZO Jim and cameraman Dan made it all worthwhile to me.I had a great time and think that everyone needs to go to Skydive Ky and try it. Everyone there was so nice to me and made me feel comfortable about my first time jump.It was the biggest rush for me. And I would go there and do it all over again. I highly recommend this place for skydiving and I will go back again as soon as I can.Thank you Jim and Dan for the time of my life that day...

My first phone call had the dzo talking to me about how to get there and to make sure to bring beer!! Haha.

I spent the night there 2 nights in a row while on business rather than my hotel because I felt very comfortable (and I could have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express). We jumped a lot in one day and was given tons of critiqueing on my landings while there was no wind. The DZO, staff and everyone that I encountered were awesome and I cannot wait to make it back again to jump.

I am very used to jumping a larger plane but I had a blast jumping their cessna.

Awesome DZ!! I defintely recommend!!

Thanks to the DZO Jim, the chef Babs, the LEO Gallagher look-a-like Dan Pagnini (Barefoot Productions), Quigly, Justin, Larry, the Vet (whose name I'm falling short on) and Swoops with the tire...

Blue skies (with a hint of cumulus around 2200 feet)

Skydive Kentucky is a great place to skydive. They make you feel like you've known them forever, I don't think they've ever met a stranger. It was my first jump and I wasn't nearly as nervous as I figured I would be, they gave me a real since of trust. I can't wait to do it again. Hopefully I get to see them, again real soon. In my opinion skydiving is addicting, I want to do it over and over!

Jim... thanks for the advice I really appreciate it ... I began my skydiving adventure at Bardstown on a tandem with Shawn and Jeff flew the camera...
everyone there was so nice to me and my family that day I decided to learn more... Skydiving is a great community of which to be a part...I dive at TSS and Larry is super to me and my son Josh (he is 25 and has cerebral palsy) Larry and the guys treat him like everyone else and that is a very good thing indeed... he loves to just go and hang at the DZ... everyone there and Jeff as well speak highly of you man... so I really do appreciate the help and the time you give me...

Have read articles and talked with people who tell me that at some DZ's low number jumpers like me (@35) are treated poorly... NOT the case at my DZ or Bardstown...nor...I am sure at yours...it is a very cool thing to have people like you, Jeff, Larry and all (and I do mean all) the guys at my DZ to treat me and my son so very well... it is exciting to be a part of this... you guys are great ambassadors for the sport... keep up the good work... and yes you know I will be coming back to you for advice

Hope to get over to your DZ this summer and have you open the door so I can get out ... damn I do love exits

Thanks again Jim

Mark

Building from the roots of GCSPC-Bardstown, this new DZ is growing rapidly with the same experienced family of jumpers that made GCSPC the wonderful FAMILY DZ that endured for 40 years. They remain dedicated to the idea that skydiving is supposed to be fun. I was welcomed as family, jumped with some old friends, made some new ones, and hated to leave. This new DZ isn't as "rustic" as the old one, but the upgrades only add to the experience. The burgers aren't bad, either. Definately worth the trip! Go make some new friends!

A wonderful place to jump! Rule #1- Have fun! Wonderful family environment. Great for students. I never think of stopping at one of the 12 drop zones that I pass to get to Skydive KY. Everyone is equal! No-matter if you are a student, tandem, male or female or experienced with 12,000 jumps. Everyone gets to jump! Well worth the drive!

This was one of the only DZ's that has ever made me feel welcome. It did not matter if I did great or made a mistake at anything, They still welcomed me with open arms. Hog Roast showed Kenny, Cindy, Dan, Boz and Jim what they mean to everyone and the family they have built over the years. I will always consider you guys as my family.
Thanks for welcoming me into your family and home.
You will be missed.

This dropzone is exactly what fun jumpers look for in a DZ. I stopped in to make a jump and I was treated as if I had jumped there for years. It's nice to show up at a dropzone and get right on a load, and not feel like you are second class to tandem passengers. The Beaver was an awesome jump experience, and I can't wait to go back!

Great people, very friendly, made me feel welcome. The pilots flying made for an interesting ride. Loved the airplane, it had a bunch of stickers inside that made for good reading on the way up.

All together a great place to jump.

I was taken to DZ as a surprise by my friend for my 30th birthday and the entire day was AWESOME! They have the greatest staff. Jimbo and "barefoot" Dan made us feel so comfortable and at ease about the entire situation, and Dan even led the entire crew of our Beaver to a round of Happy Birthday for myself. I definetly recommend the experience, it is a birthday i will never forget! Thank you greatly DZ!!!

Remember the good old days? Well, you can escape those shrieking turboprops and step back in time at GCSPC. I jumped in the 60s and let me tell you, this place still has the non commercial laid back vibe that I thought was long gone from any DZ in the 21st century. The main lift is a DH Beaver which is a gorgeous classic radial engined bush plane and runs strong and sweet. A Cessna 180 hauls S/L jumpers. Prices are good, shade trees abound, yet the LZ is pretty much hazard free. People are friendly and the location is scenic KY countryside near Bardstown (it's not really in Greene County). No loudpeakers, no "corporate" vibe, just nice people who have been in the sport forever and want to share the joy.

The people at GCSPC are marvelous and made me feel like I was one of them from the very beginning. I can't say enough about the training (Rick is an awesome instructor.), the people, or the services. I would reccomend GCSPC to anyone, but especially to the first-time jumpers. This place rocks!

Always wanted to jump, so the wife and daughter paid for me to tandem for father's day. Made for a great father's day present. Jim was great, very helpful, and everybody there made it enjoyable and very relaxing. I am now hooked, and hope to be able to keep flying the blue skys over Bardstown. Great place to jump.

GCSPC was my 2nd home. Tears flood my eyes to think I will not be able to visit this place I called home. Kenn and Cindy (DZO's) provided to what I think was one of the safest and most enjoyable places to learn how to jump. Even after years of jumping it was like making your first jump all over again with your new and old friends. It was never a dull moment until everyone was forced to leave July 16, 2007. The only thing we left behind were puddles of tears and broken hearts. But we all left with a lifetime of memories! I love you all and miss you dearly!

I've been there twice now. I've just begun the progression on static line to get my license. The trainers there are very good at what they do. Everyone is willing to help and available at a moment's request. I would recommend it to anyone new to the sport. It is a relaxed atmosphere with very experienced jump instructors who are the nicest people you will ever meet.

My friends and I went Skydiving at this place one Saturday afternoon and had a blast! The staff is hilarious and very friendly. They knew what they were doing and I felt safe. The Skydiving was unbelievable as was the burger that I got at the "cafe". Now I just need to save the money to go again!
