Jumped there this past weekend. Six of my friends did tandems while I fun jumped. They all enjoyed their time in the air and Kasey made it even better. What a great time I had. The staff was awesome. Weather was perfect. I wish I lived closer so I could jump here more often. I would recommend everyone to go here.

I found this place while I was visiting marshalltown on business. I'm currently working on my A-License and they were more than willing to work with me. Not to mention that the bonfire and cook out was great after a day of jumping. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I consider Skydive Iowa my home DZ despite it being a few more miles away from my home compared to other DZs. I started jumping with SDI when it was in Sigourney, several years ago. The people is what makes this DZ one of the finest you'll find!

I did the entire AFF course with a bunch of different instructors, each one with their own style of teaching. The people are great, that is number one about this DZ. There is a always a bed for anyone that wants to crash. Kids and dogs all over the place so it is very family friendly.
I wish it were only closer to DM, but then the stars would be washed out at night...
Overall make this your drop zone, and you will get back what you put into it.
peace

What a place. On any given Sat night there is at least twenty to thirty people that stay in rooms on the DZ. Most rooms even have AC. They put on a massive feast (pot luck style) with on site chef that prepares the main course on Sat afternoon. The night I was there he cooked smoked ribs, sausage and potatoes, and grilled garlic bread. They have a giant outdoor grill pit and an oversized fire pit with plenty of wood to keep the fire going to the wee hours in the morning. The only thing missing is a turbine aircraft but some of the jumpers there don't want it, cause it would draw to many people and with all the people comes all the DRAMA. The dropzone is on thier own airport (non muni) and the DZO delagates most of the day to day runnings of the DZ to different jumpers. This place is not a club but a privately owned DZ ran by jumpers. Just when I thought I have seen it all "Red Eye" deceides that it was time to play Flippy Cup. After a few rounds of this drinking game I was pressured to give my keys up and was given a room normally reserved for another jumper that was not there that weekend. Where else would you get this kind of treatment these days??

This is one of the best DZ's I have ever jumped at and I have been lucky enough to jump at a lot of them. Thats why I call SkyDive Iowa my home DZ. They have spent a lot of time and effort this winter getting the main hanger and class room fixed up and it looks grate so stop on out and see us!

This DZ has the best,on site, facilities of any in DZ the area. The main packing hanger, office and student room was just remodled and looks awesome! Great commons room with a TV and a pool table. They also have an oversized fire pit. The DZ also offers great organizing for all skill levels. This has to be the nicest cessna DZ I have ever been too, definately the most welcoming. It has everything any skydiver would need for a weekend of skydiving. Go check it out and see for yourself.

I'm not a jumper YET! but i recommend Skydive Iowa because the people are friendly and helpful, good about answering questions, the facilities(showers/restrooms) are decent. I took my first tandum with some of the regulars and staff and they made it extra special. Anyone is welcome here even non-jumpers. I'm definately thinking about jumping again! Thanks!

When I decided to learn to skydive these people welcomed us in and made us feel right at home. They did their best to get me as many jumps as possible before the weather got to cold. They are very friendly and family oriented. Nice landing area plenty of packing space. I am very pleased to say this is MY home dropzone.
