Mid-America Sport Parachute Club

A dropzone that has plenty of wide open area's to land at. Staff are knowledgeable about training, equipment, they keep safety always at the top. They have very good equipment to use if your doing a tandem or learning to skydive on your own. This is a DZ that takes the time with you to teach you, and help you experience the best of Skydiving and help you progress to getting licensed as a skydiver if you choose to go that route. Everyone there is friendly and fun and if you like RW, you got it here!. The Dropzone has two 206 Cessna's, yes two 206's to fly and keep jumpers jumping,, oh and if you like accuracy, they have a pea pit for accuracy buffs. They have TV and video equipment for you, if you want to watch video of a skydive you did with friends or for students and tandems if they got video. Its a relaxed DZ with awesome people and a great place to jump and have fun. Airport is located close to the town of Taylorville, alot of places to eat and relax within just 5 minutes.

I will definately recommened Skydive Taylorville to anyone looking to jump neer StL! But just a warning, when you purchase the dvd, let them know before you jump if you want a particular song in the background otherwise the will give you something they keep in rotation. I didn't know this but was very kind and remade the dvd with the song I picked!

A very friendly & fun place to learn, yet very safety-concious & knowledgeable. Has all most people would need as far as equipment, rentals, & time flexibility. Professional instructors can answer about any questions you may have, & work you through the courses with individual attention.
Great for the amateur, novice or experienced skydiver. Laid back relaxing atmosphere, with more excitement packed into every chute with each drop. Wonderful R & R

I did three jumps, great staff and all of the people were very friendly. The primary landing area is a little tight, but there are out's. great place I'll be back.

New to skydiving (20 jumps) - but already feel like family at Mid-America (my home DZ). Staff are very skilled and have great/fun personalities - yet always safety minded. I feel lucky to live so close to such a wonderful facility. Wouldn't trade it for any of the largest, most technologically advanced DZ's in the country!

I stopped by this DZ and made 2 jumps...it is an awesome place, and the people were very friendly!
