This was my first sky dive and it was an awesome experience. The staff was very accommodating, the facility was great as they are operating out of a temporary facility while plans and construction start on a magnificent place. You should come see the plans. I will recommend this operation to anyone and challenge them to find a better place than this. 2 thumbs up.

I boogie hop around all the major DZ's in the midwest and this by far has the best of it all.

Great "cessna" dropzone vibe (friendliness) without the cessna's! They have a PAC and an Otter! And 13K jumps that regularly seem to go a bit higher!

They have the most organized and well put together coaching and student coarses that I have ever seen, as well as continued student events to keep the graduates in the loop and in the sport!

This is the first year in their new location at Rochelle, IL, so they are still building the facilities, but the hangar is huge and the plans in the works look outstanding.

Although I live over 4 hours away, I frequent this dropzone as much as possible and have even considered leaving my camper there for the season and calling it my "home away from home dropzone".

If you like a professional well organized turbine dropzone without the cliqueness and "too good for you" atmostphere, then go to CSC. Plenty of people of various experience levels willing to jump with you and plenty of organized jumps that you will be welcomed in on!

I can't WAIT to see the finished dropzone!

This was my first jump. As a former business owner, my impression of CSC was quite good. Throughout my entire experience, I was very impressed with the professionalism displayed by all the people involved with CSC. The equipment was relatively new, clean, very well organized and I felt very confident using it. But probably the most impressive part of the day was the people; so friendly, so wanting to make this a great experience and so knowledgeable. What a wonderful facility and those who complain it isn't close enough to Chicago, that is a positive.

10 years ago in NJ, I had a terrible skydiving experience. CSC was the complete antitheses of that NJ place by providing exceptional service through education, friendliness, quality, and safety. I tandem jumped with CSC a September 2009 and am still raving about my experience.

The only drawback about CSC was that it's quite a driving distance from my apartment in downtown Chicago. That's it. If I weren't a poor fresh out of college graduate, I would have been there every weekend this year. I hope the new location is even closer to the city!

To anyone who is considering to jump with CSC: stop thinking - just go. You will have a great time and feel confident about going with them every step of the way.

This was an enjoyable experience, oh my goodness; what an experience, this was my first but not my last time skydiving with tandem. I had such a great time that I schedule to skydive again already. I advise everyone to do this if you have any doubts about skydiving please erase them. I tell you as long as you do what you are supposed to do, your experience will be just as good as mine. I love it and I will continue to skydive as long as I am able; "smoochyes."

I highly recommend CSC to anyone who is a first-time jumper. From the moment we got there I felt like they were in complete control and had everything very organized. The staff from the receptionist and especially the camera man and instructor used humor to ease any fears which worked perfectly! They really got you laughing which allowed me to enjoy the actual experience of skydiving rather than being overcome by fear. I honestly wasn't nervous even as my feet dangled out the plane (and I am a scaredy-cat!) It was such an amazing experience and the staff made it all the better. I don't think I would go anywhere else now!

Good thing about CSC was that they aimed at Max people get to skydive. This was my First skydive but my instructor made is more easy for me by teaching me how to interact while skydive and how to get Best out of it. Due to this I could achieve the Wildest skydive as it was well communicated.
Hats of to Rudy for a wonderful experience and also letting me pull the parashut :-)

Speaking as an experienced jumper this is by far one of my favorite dropzones.

We were immediately welcomed with open arms while visiting this dropzone. The north hangar is great, with pro shop and plenty of packing room for experienced jumpers. It's even got A/C which came in very handy on the hot summer weekend we spent there. Doug, the DZO made us feel right at home, he even organized a couple freefly jumps for us!

The landing area is a little small, but if you stick to a pattern and are aware of the swoopers it's totally doable. Definitely plan to go back in the near future!

The jump was great-I dont like heights, but I wasn't as afraid as I would be standing on the ledge of a 9 story building (which I've done before). The coach, Paul, was a awesome and from my town and the camera guy, Kelsey, did a phenomenal job of capturing the entire event with plenty of action and scenery. I posted both pics & vid on Facebook and my friends loved it. I'll be back later this summer when my son gets home from Iraq and again in October for my daughter's 18th. Thanks again guys!

My 1st time to CSC was in May 2010. My husband; Brad, & I are, & have been Staff at a few excellent DZ's in WI.
( i.e. Skydive Midwest; Sturtevant, Skydive Door County; Sturgeon Bay, Skydive Adventure; Omro & currently with Green Bay Skydivers; Pulaski ). I am a fulltime DZ Packer & Brad is a Strong & Vector- Sigma TI, AFFI, S/L & Coach, as well as Pro-rated, & I/A, & A & P in aircraft maintenence. Brad needed his Vector-Sigma TI cross over training for his TI rating. His examiner; Matt Yount, Staff Evaluator & Instructor at CSC, was exceptional...as was the entire Staff, the 2 days we were there. I / we, also jumped while we were there ( my 1st Pac jump ). We both look forward to returning to CSC & wish them well at their new location! It is evident Doug Smith is fortunate to have the Staff he has, & the Staff is fortunate to be part of the DZ operations, Doug has continued to provide at CSC. We Absolutely, would recommend anyone looking to do a tandem jump, progression training, eval courses, or experienced jumpers to CSC. The DZ has had an excellent set up, & I am quite sure their new location will offer the same excellent set up,& maintain the high quality of professionalism, hospitality, knowledge, experience & facilities they have had at their Hinckley location. The entire Staff was very welcoming & helpful & I found them all to be great people. It was great to have met some more good, good people, as I've known most Skydiver's to be, since I've become involved in the life & times of Skydiving ! Thank you CSC !!!
~ Blessings n' BlueSkies ~ to you ALL !

I was in Chicago for a weekend, and I wanted to try out a dropzone in the area. Since I was only there for one day, and I'm still a very new jumper I didn't expect people to really include me, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. Andy, the load organizer, sought me out and put me on some great dives that were just at the edge of my comfort level. After each one he gave me a couple pointers - it was great to have him investing some time in me, even though I was just visiting. The Otter was in for repair, so we were in the PAC (my first time in that plane) - the ride to altitude was super quick. The landing area is small, but it is surrounded by open fields, and there is a separate swoop lane.

I left with a really good impression of the dropzone, and would recommend it to anyone in the Chicago area.

The DZ is has great feel it's like you belong there. It's not one of those big DZ's where it take hours for some one to say hello or ask you if you want to jump. It's only a bit over an hour to get thre from Chicago.

We have jumped at Chicagoland few weeks ago and it's a awsome dropzone. Staff is great and fun to talk to. Jumps were great lots of fun, will most likely come back. As for the post below I don't see how all it's true since everyone was wearing seatbelts when we were there. Looks like somone has a grudge against the dropzone.

Prior to arriving at CSC I was a little nervous considering I've never been to a drop zone before. Man was I surprised! I've never felt so welcome. Every one was super nice.

I read a lot of reviews between CSC and Sky Dive Chicago. CSC went above and beyond the good reviews they've received. I started ground school my first day there with Barry. Barry is very knowledgeable and a great instructor. I feel very confident jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.

Monday 4-5-10 was my first jump! I was so excited. The staff made me feel very safe. I really can't describe how great the staff is; come check it out for your self!!

Back in 2002 when I was 16 I made my first skydive at CSC, even though I was just a kid they treated me like I was a seasoned pro. When I was 18 I made two jumps down at Skydive Chicago, the people there only cared about getting as many students up as possible, they did not take care of you like CSC does. In 2009 I final had a job where I could afford paying for skydiving so I starting AFF at CSC; once again they treated me like a world champion. The instructors out there are great, even the DZO knows me by name. The Chicago weather prevented me from getting my license in 2009, but I will be there as much as possible in 2010.

I got a great deal on groupon.com and we were the first plane up on a sunny Tuesday. The jump was crazy fun. As others on here have said, as soon as I hit the ground I was ready to go back up.

Needless to say, we are hooked. We stuck around all day to hang out and watch parachutes until the last plane left. ALL of the staff - from the instructors, the camera men, the girls at the desk and the pilot - are amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. We'll be back next month for another discounted $125 tandem before we start solo training!
