As soon as I arrived at Skydive the Farm the staff welcomed me as if I was family. Everyone was eager to help me get settled and situated, answering all of my questions and providing me with comforting stories and statistics to ease my stomach. I waited only a short time (less than 30 minutes) before I was on the plane on my way up to make my first skydive jump, (the place was very busy being that it was a Saturday). After the amazing jump and the sun started to set the staff invited us to spend the night on the grounds where they have a bonfire, eat and drink, and enjoy everyone's company. I unfortunately had a long road trip ahead of me but I am already planning a trip back and staying there for a few days is definitely on the agenda. I definitely recommend Skydive the Farm, not only for skydiving but as an amazing place with amazing people that you'll regret not stopping by to check out.

Great dropzone. Everyone is very helpful, even if your just getting started. Staff is great. Great facility. Onsite full service rigging loft. Anything you need, you can do it here. A place to stay if you need it. Food on site. No need to leave, unless you need beer. LOL.
Recommend to all your friends!!!! I do!!

The weather was bad here in KY so a couple of us decided to give the farm a try. We were highly impressed once we arrived. We were greeted by several people and showed the dz and manifest. I had forgotten my altimeter in KY and they lended me one no questions asked. After sitting out a load and getting a feel of how things were done there we manifested and were in the air in no time. The aircraft was great, gotta love the otter. Everyone was friendly and asked us to join in on several loads. My girl friend had a bad landing here and everyone was concerned and ready to help her. The students and tandems were treated well here. The beer rules are enforced too! This a a great fun place for an up jumper to make several loads! I will be returning to the farm soon! Oh an fyi if you are drinking don't leave the dz the local police don't like skydivers

Spent a week there in January doing AFF. I did not even make it out of the parking lot before someone greeted me (Jesse) and made me feel very welcome. Finished my AFF in two days thanks to my awesome instructor Jeremy. Even on the days missed because of the weather I still had a great time and learned lots. Thanks for all the packing help and advice Andy. The place was extremely friendly to students and new jumpers. On the last jump before I left I had four separate people randomly come up to me and do gear checks on me from the time I put my rig on to before I even made it off the bus! I will be returning soon to finish my A license for sure.

When I went here I made a couple of jumps and left. Everyone here is all about a giant party from Friday until Sunday. I'm a belly flier and I'm all about some RW so I definitely didn't fit in with these guys.

This just wasn't my atmosphere. I know that some people love this place, but I didn't like the landing area or the vibe - I'm not a huge party guy. They're very friendly but I didn't get an overview of the landing area or any instructions even after I told them that I had never been there before.

On the other hand, Chutingstar is pretty awesome and extremely helpful in not only selling you the gear you need but just giving you pointers and advice on what to buy. Even if you don't get your gear from them, I advise you give those guys a call and ask them what they think on what you're getting.

I know those guys love their dropzone but I just didn't fit in at all and I'm not going to try and force it. Like I said, they're friendly, but just not my style.

I've been asked by Hans (the DZO) to revise this review a bit, so I did.

The place and the people are really layed back. We did not have to wait a while for the jump--The whole process of getting in and out was smooth. There was not one person in my group of ten people that did not have the thrill of a lifetime! All of our instructors were great, and I felt perfectly safe in the hands of my partner. Great experience! I will DEF do it again :)

I went to The Farm on 10/8 for my birthday. Miki was my dive instructor and Cory was my videographer. These 2 guys were great. Miki and Jeremy kept me laughing all the way up to 14,000 feet. Cory thanks for a GREAT video and the still shots!

Everyone was very professional and made my experience one of the best I've had in my life. Hans is organized and kept the whole operation running smoothly!

These guys know how to have a good time and they certainly are serious about what they do! I loved my jump so much, I plan to make it a quarterly event! My next jump will be at sunset. I am even considering becoming certified so I can jump by myself! A big shout out to Jason too because he really made me feel confident in jumping out of a perfectly GOOD airplane! Also, a big thank you to the lady (sorry I don't know your name) who packed our chute! :)

Thanks everyone! You guys are the BEST!

This past weekend I did my first tandum jump with Miki. I had been thinking about doing it for months and after talking to a friend that has done 20 plus jumps at this particular location I decided to check it out. When I arrived I was greated right away by Hans and asked to fill out paperwork. The atmosphere was so lively because there was a lot of people there that were my age and as it turns out I ran into two people I went to highschool with. As the day went on I was able to see other tandum skydivers coming down from there viewing area to see what I would be doing. When it was finally time for my group to get ready Miki did an awesome job explaning to me what I would need to do when I got up there which was very important since I am deathly afraid of hights. I also decided to get a video made and had an interview with Chris on the ground and on the plane. Since it was the last "work jump" of the day we jumped at sunset which was absolutly breathtaking from above! The freefall was awesome becuause Miki and I were able to dock with Chris several times to get some amazing action shots while feeling 100 percent safe the entire time. You could also clearly see The Farm's landing area because it was so well kept. After we landed Chris did a final interview from the ground. I would absoluly recommend this place to any and everyone who is certified or just wanting to do a tandum jump for the first time! Safety was defiantly there number one priority followed by fun. I cant wait to go back again to jump. Thank you to all the staff who made my first tandum jump at The Farm so unforgetable!

I work in disaster preparedness/emergency management, so I am naturally picky when it comes to finding the best outfitter for one of my adventures. After researching the internet and hearing from some friends about their experiences with another local drop zone, I chose to have my first tandem jump at Skydive the Farm. After jumping yesterday 10/18 with Jeremy, I can say that this was one solid and sound decision!

I was greeted by the staff from the moment I arrived and shown where to go, what paperwork needed to be completed and where other various facilities were and I was repeatedly told to "make yourself at home" while I was there. All the contacts I had were professional and courteous at all times, while the overall atmosphere was laid-back, relaxed and fun.

After waiting a short while on other tandems to arrive, we watched a quick safety video and I met my tandem instructor, Jeremy. Once the video had hit the high points, it was off to get suited up. My instructor advised me of all the procedures while on the dive, from entry to the aircraft, to exit, during free-fall and then landing and always ask me if I had any questions for him.

Now in case you are wondering, the dive was a success! I had a lot of fun will definitely choose (and recommend to friends) Skydive The Farm for future skydiving adventures. If you have not tried this before and are thinking about it now, choose STF to make your first jump.

To the team at Skydive The Farm:
Thanks for a great adventure and stay safe. I will see you guys again soon.

take care,
Adam

This was my first jump. (yesterday :) I was terrified until I got there and met Jeremy, my instructor. He made me completely comfortable. My fears went away quickly and he made it effortless to jump. It was the best thing I have EVER done! As soon as I landed I was ready to go back up. I am going back for my birthday in a few months and am bringing a bunch of friends. Thank you Jeremy, and staff. Ya'll were wonderful and you made my fiance's 30th the best birthday ever!!

I went down there with 2 of my coworkers and we had the time of our lives. I will be back soon to do it again and plan on getting certified for AFF. This was the coolest thing that I have ever done. There are no words that can describe what you feel when you are free falling through the air. The view from the canopy was awesome. I have nothing negative to say about the place. Jeremy was my instructor and he was very calm and knowledgeable about everything that I asked. The staff kept the mood light and the vibe was exciting. Cory did a great job on my video and would recommend that to anyone that plans on going. Hope you all check these guys out, there a lot of fun... Happy landing!

This DZ has such a great vibe, and the staff are wonderfully helpful and supportive through the whole process. They are friendly, professional, and helpful in all situations. If you want to have a good time skydiving at a really comfortable DZ, come on out to the Farm. =)

I went to the farm on 9/11 and had the best time. Mike D was my instructor and he made me feel that I was in good hands while still being really laid back. The whole staff is very welcoming and it feels like a big family.

I would like to say thanks to Jeremy Masten for making my first skydive an experience i will remember forever. The video was very good and i highly recommend anyone making their first jump to have one made, the cost is minimal considering the memories that accompany it.
I will be back to learn asap!!

Yesterday was my first tandem jump at the Farm and it was AWESOME. Jermey jumped with me and made it a great experience despite my nerves. Now that the deed is done, I would and am totally ready to go again! I opted to not video tape the first experience because I was too nervous but will definatley do it next time.
Thanks Jeremy!

In July, we had a small group of guys meeting in Atlanta for a bachelor party. Skydiving was kind of a last minute idea and a quick google search directed me to an "Atlanta Dropzone" [I won't mention their name, but if you find an Atlanta dropzone running about 8 different websites under different names ...you found them.] I attempted to email two different email addresses on their website and both emails were returned due to "invalid email address". The fact that this company had multiple website aliases combined with their inability to provide current information prompted me to do some more research. After all, I'm putting my life in these people's hands! I want them to be on top of their game!

So I did some research, found Dropzone.com and realized that Skydive the Farm seemed to be the place to go if you planned on jumping out of a plane.

I emailed Skydive the Farm and immediately received a reply from Hans with the information that I requested. I called him a few days later to confirm our jumps. We showed up to The Farm and were immediately greeted by some of the crew. These guys are really cool and they know their stuff. It was the first jump for all of us so we were each paired up with an instructor. The whole process was casual and surprisingly stress free. We efficiently received our instruction and made our way to the plane. During the accent, you can plan on hearing some CCR blasting on the radio. Once you reach 14,000 feet ...you jump! The free fall is breathtaking and the view is incredible. Once the 'chute is pulled, your instructor will advice you to just relax and enjoy the scenery.

It's a great experience and as you can see by the reviews, Skydive the Farm is the place to be if you are jumping anywhere in the South!

I did my first (and second, not two days later) tandem jump at the Farm and I was immediately impressed with the friendliness and support offered from the people there. They made sure I was comfortable with my first tandem and the video I recieved was wonderful! I definitely recommend getting it! And the second tandem jump I was hoping to get a better sense of awareness during the jump and they provided means for me to do so. Needless to say I was thoroughly impressed and will be going back for the AFF program!

My experience with these guys as a first time sky diver was fantastic! They were extremely knowlegable and great instructors. They were precise with what needed to be done, but kept the vibe positive and amusing with their comradery. By the time we were done, my friends and I were ready to ditch the five star in ATL and camp out there for the night. I will definitely be going back soon!!!

I've completed one tandem and several levels of AFF here, and I highly recommend it. The facilities are clean and large, the staff are informed and fun, and the pricing is competitive. The landing area is very large which I like as a new student. Aircraft is a Twin Otter. In general, the vibe is great and I always want to head back soon.

The Farm was a blast during the 4th of July weekend. Everyone I met was awesome and I immediately felt welcome and at home. It's a shame that it's 4.5 hours away, but the good news is that it's only 4.5 hours away!

The Farm is truly about skydiving and sport jumping and they treat their patrons well. The pace is a little slower due to the fact that you need to shuttle over to the airport...small price to pay. I still got 7 jumps in each day and that was without much effort.

Thanks to everyone there for the good times and thanks to Hans for the free load Sunday!

Skydive the Farm was a great choice for skydiving. In the future, I will probably do most of my jumps with them. Great people to be around. Very friendly instructors (who on the plus side, made you feel a lot better and safer about falling towards the ground from 14,000 feet). Loved and really enjoyed my experience with them and will be back for more.
