First jump ever--tandem with Mike, one of the instructors. Total exhilaration and fun. Low-stress, surprisingly. Staff is professional, skilled, yet laid-back, which is appreciated. Next time will make a weekend of it and bring camping gear. And there will *definitely* be a next time, very soon...

Went there to celebrate my 21st, and had an amazing experiance! Downside was we got there early and they were so busy we couldn't jump earlier which for them is a good thing, but for those stuck in that sticky heat, not so much.
Very patient staff, instructors and videographers alike, putting up with lots of hyperness and craziness from myself and my group after our jump. The jump itself was amazing, instructor didnt mind repeating himself over and over again, and he and the rest of the guys made the atmosphere COOL CALM and COLLECTED! Music totally helped, too.
Overall, it was a great place to have a first jump!!! THANKS GUYS!!!

My wife and I decided to finally go skydiving to celebrate our two-year wedding anniversary. After spending hours doing research on dropzones, I kept coming back to STF because of the consistently positive reviews. Let me tell you right off the bat: everything positive you read about STF is true. The atmosphere is friendly, the staff knowledgeable and the overall experience absolutely fantastic.

We arrived around 8:50 for our 9:00 appointment but didn't get up in the air until around 11 or so I think. Everyone was watching the weather since it had rained pretty heavily the night before and we were happy to wait to make sure the conditions were good. The waiting wasn't bad either since we got to chat with some of the staff and the other people making their first jumps that day as well.

My wife and I were on the first plane up and (after a few solo divers) we were the first (tandem) jumps of the day. I was a little shocked to see my wife drop like a rock out of that plane but when it was my turn, I couldn't do anything but smile all the way down.

Jeremy was my tandem instructor and he was awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable and quick to answer any questions or concerns I had. Also, Jack the videographer was a LOT of fun and created some great memories of our experience with clean photos and a adrenaline-filled video.

My wife and I are discussing if we want to start our AFF training and I know if we do pursue that, it will be with STF!

Thanks to all the staff who made our day one to remember for a long time!

I have never been skydiving but i always knew it was something i wanted to do, so when the opportunity came up i was all in, figuring i would start with a tandem jump for my first time. But, the person i was with was doing the accelerated free fall which includes a day of instruction, so i decided to do it too and i'm so happy i did! The instruction provided by Andy was very thorough and clear. Everything that was covered during the day ensured that my jump was a success. When you're freefalling through the sky it's pretty hard to actually think about what you should be doing, that's why the repetitive instruction was so great because it was easy to fall into the pattern we had been practicing all day. The other instructor who jumped with me, Rodrigo, gave me excellent feedback after the jump, with helpful tips for next time. Overall, the atmosphere at the skydive farm was super positive, Marcia was super nice to take pictures for us and other skydivers and employees chatted with us and were genuinely interested in our experience. It's a great place to go and i would highly recommend going there for your first jump or your hundredth jump!

I went out to Skydive the Farm this past Wednesday for my first jump. First off, I have to admit that I have a rather large fear of heights and was pretty hesitant to do this. Within minutes of arriving at the Farm I was greeted by our instructor Andy. I have spent six years in the US Army and have never had as good of a day training for an activity. Andy took the time to thoroughly cover the material and provided individual attention to any areas we were struggling with.

Once we were done with the training Andy joined me in the air as one of my jump masters. On the ride to the airport and the flight up he was extremely positive and made me feel right at home with the group.

I've got to say that everyone I interacted with on the farm was great, jumpers and staff alike. There was no elitist attitude or uneasiness with anyone we met. Everyone was very helpful and encouraging, taking time to sit and talk with you as you went about the day.

I would highly recommend Skydive the Farm for anyone looking to go skydiving!

The best experience I've ever had in my life. A A great price for all that you get. I had Ashley as my tandem master, and Wayron as my videographer. The two of them worked very well together and couldn't have asked for a better experience, especially for my baptism into the unknown. I'm addicted and will continue to futher my training at the farm...

Much luv

What can I say? Showed up without any advance notice on a Wednesday. Got there around noon and got to jump every load (6) they had for the rest of the day. These people reallty know how to run a DZ. And for you fellow freeflyers, there is plenty of it here, including some FF coaching if your just getting started in it. This will be the first year that SkyFest is held at this DZ and I can only hope that people will not miss out on such a great place. 2 ponds. plenty of camping area. onsite food shack. chuting star rigging and apparel onsite. If anyone is wondering, NO I do not work there. I do take a helicopter to various DZs in the midwest as a jumpcraft for special events though, and always appreciate when people give us props for the business we do. Just wanted to pay it forward to an outstanding DZ like Skydive The Farm.

I drove 12 hours to jump the farm ..would have driven further well worth it. It is so hard to explain the vibe you get just being there ...I would think of moving 12 hours closer to be able to go whenever I wanted. When they say top ten ...right on the nose. If the other ten in the count would probably give you free jumps to keep up..

Just finished my AFF course at Skydive The Farm.
The place is great. Nice people, good airplanes, good student rigs and a nice location.
Had my initial training and first jump with Andy. Levels 2-6 with Kevin and Jack. Level 7 again with Andy. They are all great instructors who took the time to explain everything in detail with an emphasis on security.
I will keep going there to finish my A licence requirements and to do all the fun jumping I can.
If you want to do AFF, don't think twice, STF is a really good place to do it and the price is better than most.

Blue skies and mild winds,

Luis

I chose Skydive the Farm to do my AFF over 2 closer DZs because of it's amazing reputation. The friendly, professional staff was very welcoming to a new skydiver. I'll continue to drive the 3 hours from my house to this DZ until work takes me elsewhere. Thanks to everyone at the Farm!

I did my aff at skydive the farm, and I am very happy I chose to do it with them. Every one was very friendly and professional, and made me feel comfortable from the beginning. Shout out to Hans the dzo, and to my instructors Jack, Jesse, Micky and Andy for being amazing, answering all my questions and helping me achieve my A license. Safety is number 1, and the facilities are top notch. In short, I highly recommend checking out STF.

I NEVER thought that I would skydive. After getting to Sky Dive the Farm to watch some friends do it, I felt the situation out and thought "why not?" Everyone was very friendly and willing to answer questions. My tandem instructor, Miki, was awesome! He used his humor and knowledge to get me to do it. I am terrified of heights and airplanes, but somehow it just felt good.

This dropzone does not even need my review, it's reputation has been well established. But I thought I would drop a few lines anyway to maybe polish up the shiny picture.

I came to the dropzone on my level 5 AFF, I was moving a lot with my job and just didn't have the time to finish off the damn thing. My instructor was Jack Hammer, really nice guy, laid back, meticulous, just what I needed with my frisky personality. He walked me through level 6 and level 7 with no problems, jumps went well. I have 22 jumps now.

I really liked this dropzone, everybody is friendly, if you ask something, they would find time to explain it to you. Folks there are very safety oriented, and I feel confident jumping there.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks

My husband and I went to Skydive the Farm for our first tandem jump. We felt right at home, everyone was friendly and helpful and there was no pretentiousness from any of the staff or other skydivers. It was an amazing experience for both of us and we plan to jump again with Skydive the Farm again in 2010. Special thanks to our instructors Kevin and Ashley who made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the entire jump. Special thanks also to Jack and Dave for the great video and photos! I can't think of a better place to tandem or learn to skydive than here

I had always wanted to go skydiving but no one close to me had ever shared my enthusiasm. Therefore, when my friend came down to visit, I jumped on her adventuresome personality and made us an appointment to make our first tandem jump together.

However, I did not take the task of choosing a skydiving facility lightly. We were putting our lives in these peoples' hands for goodness sakes. But thanks to the positive reviews here at dropzone.com I chose STF (even though it is 3 hours away) and there has been no looking back.

Chuck and Miki took exceptionally good care of us our first jump. We felt completely safe and secure with them. Not to mention they are a riot to be around.

Since then I have traveled back to STF every week to continue skydiving. After 3 tandems I felt confident enough to begin my AFF training and I'm happy to say I made my first "solo" jump 2 days ago. My training was top notch and when it was time to hit the sky I felt sure that I was thoroughly prepared to make a successful jump. Again, mad props to Andy, a kick butt ground instructor, Miki, my left hand man, Jesse, my right hand man (who was able to calm my nerves and help me really enjoy the ride), and Chuck my videographer.

I never imagined when I did my first tandem that I would feel such a love for this sport! I am so grateful to have a wonderful place like STF to help me gain confidence and skills as I progress as a skydiver.

If you are hunting for an amazing DZ, look no further. The DZO, Hans, and his staff are the best! Thanks you guys! Can't wait to see you all again soon!

I jumped with Kevin, and Jack Hammer did my video... I was realllly nervous because it was my first jump but everyone there made me feel EXTREMELY safe and they were so comfortable with what they were doing that it made me feel perfectly fine. I wasn't even nervous in the plane because Kevin was so reassuring. They were very professional, but at the same time made me laugh and have a great time the whole day. The jump was INCREDIBLE and pulling my own chute and steering was so much fun. I would HIGHLY recommend STF to any first time divers (as well as experiences jumpers) and I myself will definitely be returning.

Thanks y'all for EVERYTHING! especially Kevin and Jack!!

I went to STF on a Sunday morning. Got there a lil after 8. Immediately the DZO welcomed me to the drop zone.(I didn't know it was the DZO) I got a good orientation and it was off to dirt dive an 8 way. The otter was fast and the people were nice. $5 pack jobs to boot and I was feeling fine...! I usually buy a patch to add to my collection; well they GAVE me one...

I have made five trips down to The Farm and have eleven jumps there. We drive three hours down there from Tennessee because the place is awesome. They have two huge flat landing areas. The high performance landing area contains two swoop ponds and the student area is wide and long. There are several places to camp and watch people swoop the pond. They have loads going all day until sunset, so it's usually easy to catch a load on the Otter all the way to 14,000' AGL. Hans and his staff are very friendly and welcoming which had much to do with my return trips there. The staff is also very knowledgable, experienced and willing to teach and grow their sport. I started off with a tandem, then completed my AFF there and now I'm jumping solo while working towards my A license with the help of Ashley, Jesse, and Andy. If you decide to jump at Farm you won't be disappointed!

I had been wanting to go skydiving my entire life, so when my buddy asked me to go for his 21st birthday I finally had the motivation to do it. I jumped tandem with instructor chuck. He really set me at ease with the whole jumping out of an airplane thing, and was very professional when it came to jumping instructions but was also very friendly and easy going. all the other staff was this way too. It was nice to feel as welcome on my first jump as veteran skydivers are. the environment at the farm is one I have never encountered before or after. It an amazing place. There was a large group of us that jumped so I had some time to waste waiting on everyone. I asked so many questions about skydiving and certification, I'm surprised they didn't tell me to shut up. but that's how the farm is. everyone was very helpful and since my first jump I have been saving to do the a license package jump that only the farm offers. I start the third weekend of July and cant wait to get in the air. I recommend the farm to anyone who wants a friendly and professional environment to skydive.

I went to STF for my second tandem jump along with a group of friends who were all first timers. We all had a great experience. I went back the following day to start my AFF program, I graduated last week and have nothing negative to say about the experience. The staff I have met are all top notch, friendly and knowledgeable.

Ashley and Jesse are both awesome. Jesse shot my video and county Ashley was one of my instructors. Really cool people but dead serious about safety which is extremely valued to me. I did my first AFF and I am going again for my second this Saturday. I will continue to dive the farm!

I was amazed from my first AFF jump to now how laid back and casual the staff and regular jumpers are. If you're looking for a more lax and calm approach to skydiving as opposed to knocking out as many jumps as possible Skydive the Farm is definitely the place for you. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and everyone is more than eager to help you. You feel like a part of the family early on as opposed to a walking dollar sign to the staff. Other than the lack of aircraft that can make time between jumps a bit of a lag, Skydive the Farm is the place to jump and is certainly a place I plan on jumping now and down the road.

Having only jumped at 4 different DZ's my knowledge is a little bit limited but I am absolutely in love with the farm.

At first I was weary to jump there as my home DZ WAS a different one in GA. After making my second visit to the farm I can assuredly say that I have found a skydiving family I hope is willing to keep me.

I am a belly flier and although there are a ton of free fliers there, the belly fliers are in no shortage. I met up with the people around and did some very fun and interesting jumps. The people there made me feel welcome and at home. Ultimately it was they who made me want to go back more than anything.

Hans is amazing and loves the sport which makes him easy to deal with and also a lot of fun. The after hours vibe is a ton of fun and one that made a lasting impression on not only me but my whuffo friend who came out one night just to hang out.

Overall, this place has everything one could ever need in a skydiving home. Chuting Star is located on premise, the packing area is huge, the landing area is nice and big, and the people are phenomenal.

I can happily say that The Farm will be my new skydiving home and I have found everything I was looking for.
