Highly recommend Skydive Danielson!

Could not have had better weather, scenery, or company! Thank you everyone at Skydive Danielson for making my best friend's 21st birthday one that neither of us will forget! My instructor Norm, was hilarious and made jumping so much more fun! :)
I will certainly be back, maybe to learn how to skydive solo!

I am often visiting brand new dropzones because I am on tour for work and Skydive Danielson happened to be one I visited a couple of weeks ago while I was in the CT area. Laura for one is SUPER friendly and extremely helpful. I am a new jumper (40 under my belt) and I really appreciated all the extra attention that not only Laura but everyone on the dz was giving me. At this point in my skydiving career it is super important to absorb as much information as is given to you from the right people (I quickly learned which those are) and all the staff at SD Danielson were extremely helpful in ensuring that I felt safe and comfortable at the DZ. It's definitely a great place for new and experienced skydivers to go to and feel part of a community. Coming from Perris, I got spoiled on a lot of fronts but SD Danielson was a really cool (really different) and yet awesome experience! Looking forward to going back soon! Blue skies!

Updating my review: I absolutely love this place, the people, and the culture. There is a reason Skydive Danielson has won best small DZ 2 years in a row by Blue Skies Mag. Slip n Slide landings, unicycle bonfire hopping, river floating, CRW chopping mayhem, port a potty packing ..... keep the stories going and get to this DZ. A must visit!!!!

I started jumping at Danielson a few months back.
Danielson is a small DZ but the people there have great hearts and all they want to do is make sure you have a great experience: safety first, fun second.

It is a small DZ so right now they only fly little Cessna 182s, but that makes it also very easy to get there and be sure that on a good weather day, there is always somebody to fun jump with and the loads are going.

Everybody is super friendly, the new owners really take pride in what they do and make you feel welcome since your first step in the DZ. They also are very good at communicating what's going on using social networks, so once you're "in-the-loop" you'll always know the current weather situation, who's out at the DZ, if they're jumping, what events they are organizing and so on.

They also try to organize as many events as they can, like canopy classes, seminars, coach classes.
It's also good for beginners, because there is a high ratio of very experienced jumpers that are always happy to share and help with anything, from coaching to canopy hint, to packing tips etc. I honestly try to go there as much as I can. Don't get fooled by the physical size of the DZ or the constant laughs: those people are serious and know what they are doing!

They organize "Wicked Wednesdays", which means that every Wednesday they run $14 hop and pops all day long. Those days get quite busy, with jumpers from all over New England and then there is usually BBQs, bonfires, and all the good DZ bonanza that comes with a good day of jumping. If you're free on a Wednesday and want to get some jumps in, make sure you check that out.

The DZ is small and extremely friendly. Everyone from the staff to the regular fun jumpers are inviting and have an awesome attitude. This is not one of those DZs where you show up, jump, and then no one remembers you again.

They run Cesnas with 4 to a load which is cool cause it's easy to make a load. The landing zone is smaller compared to the big one where I did all my A-license jumps. However, the glass is always half full and this means you get to dial your landings in faster! The packing area is good sized for the size of the DZ and I think they are expanding it this summer a bit, but I could be wrong.

Weather - Always a good idea to call ahead since this is New England and the weather usually never lines up with the forecast.

Overall, I have no complaints and love jumping at Danielson. Blue skies :)

Fun, cool ppl at the DZ always, so if you can't jump, you are enjoying time and scenery..

The first time I showed up was for a tandem. Before that I had never even been to a drop zone. I was met with open arms even though my dive had to be cancelled due to bad weather. I was invited to hang out and was taught more about the sport. Since then I've been invited back and have always been encourage to learn more about the sport and have had all my questions answered, no matter how small. Their patience and knowledge with their students is incredible!

I am a fun jumper who can't recommend Skydive Danielson enough. Rob & Laura are the most friendly owners/DZO's you'll ever meet and they are so focused on safety and "customer satisfaction" that there is no way you can't have fun at Skydive Danielson.

Now for the details:
-Covered packing
-Landing area is being enlarged (great improvement)
-Personalized AFF courses with small class sizes to make it a great experience
-Great tandem instructors!
-A pilot who LOVES to fly and wants you to have a safe and spectacular skydive
-Very family/pet friendly location
-Phenomenal atmosphere...very close family-like feel

I love the changes that started in the spring of 2013 and look forward to seeing Skydive Danielson grow and improve as time goes on!!!

I went to the dropzone back in the day before it was known as Skydive Danielson, and was blown away by the local staff. They are all very well versed in the sport as well as very professional. When the dropzone changed management to what it is today, alot of the former staff migrated over as well as the addition of the new owners. These owners are amazing to say the least. They bring a sense of life to the dropzone that I have not seen at many of the other dropzones that I have visited. They are constantly making the dropzone better every day, along with keeping good communication with the local fun jumpers on days when it is good to come down. If you ever get the chance, definitely come down and visit, especially for Wednesday's "Hop and Pop" 13 dollar specials. Along with that contact the DZ to get placed on the facebook page to stay up to date on the latest information pertaining to the fun jumping activity.

This is a great DZ. The owners and staff are personable and friendly. They have 1 Cessna but are very courteous/accomodating of the fun jumpers and will get you up loads without a doubt. The new owners lowered the price of fun jumps so it's comparable to other DZs in the area. They have 13$ hop n pops on Wednesdays which is always a good time. If you want to go to a fun DZ and feel right at home, this is the place to go.

This is a really great DropZone. The people here are very friendly. Being new to the area and not knowing anyone, the people at the drop zone come up and talk to you with a smile. You'll see everyone there with smiles. They also invite you to come to bonfires and cook outs. The people there also know how to have a good time.
