Skydive San Joaquin Valley

This weekend I jumped for the first time.  I was nervous, excited, inquisitive, and committed- but also the very epitome of a skydiver newbie. I knew next to nothing about this sport. Robin & George were patient and friendly, with a healthy respect for everything skydiving. Their focus on safety has resulted in an incident-free record, which is most important when choosing a drop zone and instructor. Their pricing, what you pay and what you pay for, made them the best deal around- also important. They were highly professional, wanting every diver to share in their respect and enthusiasm for skydiving. My comfort level was high, my safety never in question. I've never put my life in someone elses hands, but as my instructor, George had my complete confidence.  Skydive San Joaquin Valley was the perfect choice for my first tandem jump!  When I jump again, I have 3 or 4 friends/family members wanting to join me; and not just as spectators. SSJV was focused solely on skydiving; the preparation, the equipment, the jump and most importantly, the skydiver, with no other activities or distractions. It was an amazing experience that George and Robin made flawless. I highly recommend Skydive San Joaquin Valley, regardless of your level or experience.

I went through AFF here with George and Robin a few years back before this DZ was fully open to the public. Looking back now, having a D-License and having jumped all over the country, I couldn't say enough good things about this place.

The location is excellent. They're right off the I-5 an hour from the northern parts of LA and twenty minutes from Bakersfield.

They have an ultrafast King Air and the cleanest 182 I've ever seen. The owners George and Robyn are very accommodating, welcoming, and knowledgable. The place has an overall nice laid back vibe.

There's a giant (and I seriously mean giant) grill thats lit up on special occasions, the bathrooms/shower houses are clean and modern, and theres a delicious Mexican food truck 5 minutes down the road.

Whether you're making your first jump or your 1000th, I definitely recommend checking this place out!
