Perris is definitely my favourite DZ. They have a huge fleet of aircrafts that would keep you busy from 7 in the morning until the last sunset load.

The on-site tunnel also offers a convenient choice for anyone who want to improve their freefall skills.

The AFF instructors are topnotch! They are particularly dutiful as they really care about the students and would make absolutely sure that you have all the information ingrained in your mind before sending you up in the air for each jump -- as opposed to simply rushing you through the course since there's no bonus for overtime. I had Nico as my coach - what an amazing and responsible instructor with a great sense of humour! He patiently spent almost 9 hours teaching us (3 hours longer than required) ground school essentials, going over EP drills, as well as answering questions we had despite the lengthy process. You just can't go wrong with the quality!

The Bombshelter with swimming pool makes the DZ an ideal place for summer pool parties too.

I came to Perris in search of a more professional environment than the other local DZ. I was tired of showing up and then jumping alone because I wasn't part of the clique, or that I was older than the typical jumper there, or getting bumped off of a load because they had a tandem customer who wanted a video flyer. When I go skydiving, I go to be in a happy place, and I got tired of feeling like my business wasn't appreciated. There were some good people there when I started skydiving a couple of years ago, but now they are mostly gone. Surprisingly, some of them turned up at Perris!

Skydive Perris has an extremely professional vibe. I mean by example:
1.sheer number of planes-tons!
WAY qualified instructional staff--the best in the world.

excellent facilities (Bomb Shelter Grill and bar, swimming pool, paved runways, well kept landing areas, clean and modern bunk house, Pro Shop, Wind Tunnel on site, Fully staffed loft run by a veteran Master Rigger---And perhaps most importantly, hand towels in the bathrooms when you need to clean up).

The Instructors and Load Organizers are all exceptionally skilled and patient. Many of them are legends in the sport, yet still go out of their way to greet me by name whenever I come out to jump, and make sure I'm connected with the Load Organizers of the day. Also, there are TONS of wing suit flyers who come to Perris regularly, and the willingness of the Load Organizers to include me in whatever flights they are doing has been a real bonus for me. They ALWAYS want to include me in whatever jumps they are working on with other flyers, so my flying skills have improved dramatically in a short time. Also, they share their skills and knowledge freely, and make me feel like they really want to see me improve, like they want me to be a better jumping partner. In my opinion, at Perris, the staff is really their greatest asset.

It is obvious to me that the owners of Skydive Perris have put their best efforts into building and running a world class skydiving venue over the past 40 years. I feel that Skydive Perris truly values my business, and I highly recommend Skydive Perris for anyone thinking about skydiving in Southern California. It doesn't matter if you are brand new to skydiving, or a rank amateur, or a seasoned veteran in the sport; you will find Skydive Perris to be an exceptional place to skydive.

Found the DZ to be too busy to have much of a personality. They have a lot of aircraft and great facilities, but there is not much sense of welcome and the staff sometimes comes off like the Skygods of earlier times. It is probably a great place if you are a student or the member of a high profile team. Not so great if you are a fun jumper looking to make a few jumps. I will probably not return since there are other choices, but I would not hesitate to participate in an organized camp or activity.

I went here as a fun jumper in Feb 2013 with high hopes after glowing reports from many. At a first glance this place is amazing, lots of planes, all the facilities and load organisers galore.

In my opinion, the missing puzzle piece is the vibe. This DZ has no vibe or sole. They can put jumpers in the air like no other DZ I've seen but there wasn't so much as a smile from dusk till dawn.

Good for getting the jump numbers up but not for a place to stay and relax for a long time.

I' had a short visit, I' made only 3 jumps but I' had really good vibes about that dz.

The waiver does not require any recording ( see Elsinore) but they have no such hot girl on staff on that day.

The aircraft fleet is excellent, the landing area is good as well.

The main difference with Elsinore they have a restaurant and full bar, with a swimming poll outdoor, in case you are travelling with children.
There's also a tunnel on place, the day I' went there was closed, I' can say much about it.

It was a short visit, but I' had a very good impression about the dz.

The current jump ticket is 27 dollar at 13K.

I took the canopy course, water training, and license exam all in one day. If you got the money, they got the fix!

Was only here for a small time for team training, but its a great place. They only have a smallish grassy area for landing but otherwise the landing area is huge. There are tons of aircraft and a wind tunnel. I'm not sure how fast they turn the loads during busier times, but not to worry, the cafe is amazing.

This isn't your typical DZ fare of processed cheese on wonder bread. They are serving up restaurant quality stuff.

I am from nor cal, just got my A license, and got the opportunity to come to Perris to help with a swoop comp. Friday the day before the comp was my jumping day. The Ihop was a great set up to crash and shower up and chill, cant beat the Bombshelter Bar and grill great prices and the portions rocked! Nice portions and friendly staff and got to love there happy hour to! I rent gear so the guys at square 1 were very awesome and got me the gear that I needed and helped me out and made sure I was safe. Manifest has a great set up to where you can set up an account and just go up to the window when ready to jump and there were great and friendly. Coming from a Cessna and small king air dz (I love my dz and it will always be my home) I was spoiled when it came to the planes nice super otters and quick to altitude. The view was just plain awesome!! I met some really cool people at Perris and made a new friend from the bunk house I was staying at. The only thing I was frustrated about was that there was only 1 packer available to pack but he did the best he could thanks Ryan for your pack jobs. The landing areas are nice and separated and they had trucks to pick you up after you landed and brought you back to the packing area. Love that they have a wind tunnel on site got to get some tunnel time to and the instructors were awesome. This was also my first time ever going to a new dz (brought beer) and jumping for the first time with my new A license. I really look forward to coming back to Skydive Perris and jumping again here. Thanks Perris for a great experience at a new dz as a new licensed skydiver!!! Blue Skies!! Ryan

I was very impressed with Skydive Perris. They were friendly and accommodating when I went there for thirteen days, hoping to get through their 'A license' program as quickly as possible.

They never pushed me and never held me back. I did two jumps on days when it wore me out and I did five jumps on days when I had the energy for it.

The folks at Skydive Perris were always ready to go, except when the wind came up.

That is another thing I was amazed by: it was January and we flew eleven of thirteen days.
Being from Oregon, that felt like pretty nice weather!

I completed my license with two days to spare and was able to get some tunnel time as well, which really helped me in the AFF program.
I am glad I chose Skydive Perris.

This place is big, professionally run and very efficient, but do not be fooled: This is where the fantasies of crazy people come true: "Hey, let's SHARK paint our Super Otters!" "I think we'll offer free load organizing for both RW and freefly", "Let's host world records, haha, we'll just fill our planes with people take them up high on supplementary O2!" "Let's build a wind tunnel right here!" They think like me. And they act on it.

Some people complain about the landing area here, but it's really nice, the grass area is plenty big if it's used properly, and the surrounding dirt areas are fine too.

The local jumpers are friendly, and there is no problem finding someone to jump with wether you like flying on your belly or other parts of your body. Even if it's big and has a lot of students, it's still a great place for fun jumpers.

I love the swimming pool, the restaurant has better food than any other DZ I've been to, the gear store is really nice and most of the packers are really good.
The wind tunnel isn't big, but it's fine for individual coaching.

They take safety seriously, the brief is very comprehensive and the landing rules are clear. There is real seats and seat belts in the planes and the pilots are very good.

I've been to Perris for Bigway training but also done some freefly there. I've been to DZs all over Norway and to Skydive Spain and Deland, and this is by far my favourite place.

The only negative thing I can say is that you will get dust and dirt all over your gear and in your nose and mouth. It's dusty. Bring your shiny new gear and it will look like it has several hundred jumps after just 50.

I guess I'm spoiled at my little home DZ with 8 acres of grass and a carpeted indoor packing area. The fleet there is outstanding! At least two otters, a sky van and a porter... Unfortunately the DC-9 is out of commission and has been for some time, just too expensive for up-keep... I'm still with an "A" license and was not able to land in the grass, which isn't all that big. I understand it is a rule though and I complied. I like to keep my gear clean, kind of detailed like that and with a dirt landing area and dusty packing area it was difficult. Tons of space to pack though, and more than enough space to land, plus a truck to pick you up, even when you aren't that far out... Have to walk across the runway back from the landing area, but they have a great siren setup in case a plane is landing or taking off. The account system is a little different, but understand they want repeat customers, if they can, this is just a little push to come back, which I definitely will! Overall this is an awesome DZ and their prices are comparable to most, $25 for 13k as of late Oct. Make sure you speak up if you are new there, people are friendly, they just may not come up and start talking to you. Staff was great, friendly and very helpful!

I saw the pops world record 2009 130 way formation and did some jumps with the air force (the guardian angels special response team unit they were doing drills over at Perris when I went there me and one of my best friends we did few jumps there and we were the last ones to exit the plane, on this one load so yes it was an honor 4 me as license skydiver offering a helping hand 2 those students getting inside the plane with all that weight not an easy thing 2 do their instructors were really cool guys we even took pics together . Some of the students did look lil out of their element lil nervous and on the edge , you can feel the tension escalating being on that load seeing all those hand signals inn complete silence game faces reactions & procedures I saw them do it was intense it was an honor being there with them, truly the best time ever thank you Perris and thank you guardian angels ya'll are bad asses, best time ever

Perris is a great place to jump. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help new jumpers learn. The load organizers are amazing. Nice, big landing area (even if it is a bit dusty).

The view isn't great, but if you're jumping with a team it doesn't matter.

The biggest problem is that the winds can be very unpredictable, changing directions very suddenly.

All in all, a teriffic drop zone.

Perris was well organized and quick on the load turn arounds. The facilities were nice, good store, good bar, good staff.

The organizational staff were awesome, freindly and keen to jump. If there was planes going up, people were jumping, not standing around.

The only Cons:

The tickets are a bit pricey compared to other DZ's in the area.

The LZ had a small grass strip which worked for the experienced jumpers but I saw students landing quite hard in the dirt bowl area as the ground was hard and bumpy after it dried out. students would hit rises in the dirt and tumble.

Overall a great place and i will definately be back.

Although I'm still in student status, I can't say enough good things about Perris Valley Skydiving. All the instuctors I have been with go out of there way to ease a newby's jitters and have a great time, and let you feel part of the family, so to speak. Great facilities, large landing area, Lots of well maintained aircraft, ( You got to love the shark theme paintjobs on 2 of the Otters). I'm looking forward to jump the jet someday. The misting system sure cools you off while waiting to board, on a hot SoCal day. A great Drop Zone I recommend to anyone

I did my AFF, a fair amount of tunnel time and now working towards A license. The staff are second to none, always helpful and polite, nothing is too much trouble.
You can get everything you need there from a new container to a cocktail and sunbathing next to the pool. The people are really good to get on with.
The only criticism is that their prices can be slightly higher than other places although not enough to stop me going, the extra is worth it and for loyal customers, i.e. me, they could do discounts on stuff, ie coaching/gear.

I went to jump here on a Monday and it was still busy. Even this busy, I was able to rent gear, manifest, get my girl manifested for a tandem, proposed to her on the plane, and jump in less than an hour! I've had to wait over an hour at other DZs just to get on a plane.

I was refered to PVSD to perfect my freefall form in the tunnel. That instructor did me a favor because I received the instruction he could not offer and the attention that a student needed to become a succesful student. I admit I was a little aprehensive because of the activity and business of the DZ, but after a couple of hours of additional ground instruction, by an attentive instructor, I was ready for my second AFF jump. I felt at ease, confident, and relaxed thanks to Celeste and Joe. Afterwards they offered plenty of advice and corrective instruction for my level II AFF. I must say that I left PVSD with a big smile on my face due to the instructors, facilites, vibe and experience that I won't soon forget. I would advise any student to learn here and compare to your home DZ HASTA

Let's face it, if you've been skydiving long, you've probably already been here, but for those who haven't and do not know....PERRIS HAS EVERYTHING. A Jet, A Skyvan, 2 Otters, A Tunnell, A Bar, A Resteruant, A Pool, A ProShop Etc.

This is one big DZ with all the cool stuff you could ever want. It is well run and well organized. The weather is usually great although the summer can be kind of hot and yield a reasonable amount of dust devil activity. My only negative comment is that the grass landing area is kind of small and always crowded. Don't get me wrong the landing area as a whole is HUGE...you just might get your canopy a little dirty in the process.

Perris is a little big and busy for my day to day taste, but when you want to do a bunch of jumps and have all the coolest toys around...it is the place to be.

I spent a week at the bunkhouse and jumped my ass off.
Met a ton of good people and feel like I learned along the way. I'm new to the sport, so this was my first ever full week of jumping. Every person I met, was pretty cool. The packers were quick and got me right back up, the staff at Square One was extremely helpful, guys at the Bunkhouse were chill. If it didn't cost money to jump, I'd still be there.
Looking forward to my next trip back.
Note: If you have the chance, go to "Food For Less". The oddest supermarket I've ever been too. Have to love the huge liquor section right by the register...ghetto!hahah

Want a tunnel? Want training from world champions? Want a jet jump? Want to stay a while without spending all your $$ on lodging? It's ALL here. The dust is a hassle but it all shakes out in freefall and opening. The Conatsers (DZ owners) make BIG investments (tunnel, jet, reinforced runway for heavy jumpships)and take substantial business risks. In doing so they advance skydiving for the benefit of all of us. Who else would undertake the incredible expense and hassle of buying a DC 9-21 passenger jet and getting the FAA to approve it for jumping? They do most things right and put a lot of thought into the operation of the DZ. You can always find something to gripe about at any DZ, but when you look at all that Perris offers, and its reasonable pricing, you gotta admit that it is one hell of a great DZ. There is a reason that people travel thousands of miles to spend a week at Perris: it has it ALL.

I visited Perris for two weeks, and had an absolutely awesome time. I was packing for an Aussie team, so i couldn't jump heaps, but the jumps i got in were awesome.

The most important part of my stay was the people. All of the manifest people (especially Dan.. killer BBQ mate) were so friendly and helpful, and didn't mind me trying to jump on all the loads i could around a busy team.

Special mentions go to John Chisholm, who went above and beyond with the freefly coaching (am now virtually no danger to myself and/or others) and Travis, who coached me in the tunnel and really maximised my learning curve. and for too many reasons, the following folks are just awesome.. Bundy, Lauren, Adrian, Gonzalo, Julia, Eli, Kyle, Josh, Clint, Ronaldo, Dave, Rob + Annie, Terry, Pat, Blue and Rose.

I stayed at a house recommended by the DZ, and the place was just great. The place is a home, and certainly feels like it. TV, video, internet, what more could you want? Thanks to everyone involved with that.

The Bomb Shelter and pool area were fantastic, although i would have preffered to not share facilities with whuffos. (Although they are running a business, so it's completely understandable)And the other facilities provided are well sufficient.

All in all i would say a great place to jump and meet some amazing people. Get out there and see for yourself.

There's really not much to say - the place speaks for it self! It's really some wonderful and friendly people you meet there... If you haven't improved your skills by the time you leave the place - it's your own fault! I really can't say anything else than; I love it! Go there!!
