I went looking for more then just sky diving, but the AFF course was spot on.
arrived in seville on my own, but the team made sure i wasnt left drinking alone untill silly hours in the morning. Despite lack of sleep managed to get AFF and 10 console jumps in 5 days, with time to chill in between jumps. Cant express how sound everyone there is, get yourself to Seville.

Been out there on tour twice now, first time as a student, second time qualified and both times felt like I was the most important jumper there, manifest work their asses off to get you on a lift and all manner of coaches and organisers are available, and amazing scenery from 15,000ft. However, would greatly benefit from showers and a bunkhouse.

The DZ is great with loads of friendly staff ready to help you out. There's almost guaranteed a nice 'jumping wheater' and during this Xmas they have 2 dorniers and a Turbo F. so there are almost lifts going up all the time, every 10 minutes. People like Allan, Jono, Hanna, Alex, Andy, Jim, Robert and Becs(the very patient girl from the manifesto) are making that DZ very student friendly as well as for experienced as you can get all the coaching that you need. I've been there twice and I haven't been disappointed in any way, I'll be there again next January!

Without camping a hire car is a must. The campsite is being discussed at the moment though. Hotels are cheap but a few miles away.

Everyone meets in the bar afterwards to watch the days footage and throw people into the pool. Canteen serves food all day. Fairly large selection of gear to hire. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I really enjoyed my week there.

I was a RAPS student when a group of us from Brunel University travelled down for the Xmas Boogie. On arrival, the 2 of us that were on RAPS decided to make the most of the brilliant weather and cheaper prices, and chose to do our AFF course.I've only ever been to Hibaldstow before so i can't give much of an opinion on how it compares to other DZs but from what I saw here, it has to be one of the best DZs in Europe, well in the Winter anyway!
The weather was brilliant and even though one day was too windy for students, I managed to complete my AFF and a consol within 4 days. The staff there were excellent although I don't know what it would be like outside of the Boogie. Vibe of the places was fantastic and really laid back. The aircraft brought over from Hib meant that there were non-stop loads.
The facilities aren't great but there's plenty of plans for improvement in the next few months/years. Another downside to the DZ is the landing area that was an unploughed, dusty field (nicknamed Mars!). This is also due to be rectified with turf instead. The local area is friendly but not yet adapted to English-speaking people.
All in all though, perhaps the best few days of my life (AFF is pretty good!)were made even more special by the DZ. Thanks to Andy M and Alex for all their help and advice and the super friendly Becks! Keep up the good work James, cheers guys!

I ve recently done AFF levels 7-8 and 10 consolidated jumps at Seville. 12 jumps in three sunny days.

I found the overall experience amazing.

Directions and help to hire a car and book a nearby hotel were excellent. Everything, readily available. It was my first time in Spain and had no problem at all to find the place.

Excellent BPA and USPA instructors, dedicated to the cause, always with a smile!

Vast availability of all types of rigs and jumpsuits and plenty of riggers working non-stop to avoid any delay.

Efficient manifest.

All jumps filmed at no extra cost. Debriefing is done using video facilities.

The landing area is huge and obstascles-free.

Reliable planes taking you very fast to 15K. Alex, the pilot, absolutely fantastic, eager to show you his plane and explain everything to the enthusiast!

The bar was packed with people even in December!

The nearby traditional village hotel was cheap and has an excellent restaurant.

Seville, with a great night life, is only 20 mins away.

Last, but not least, abundant sunshine, enen sunbathing in the midst of December!!

Overall, highly recommended.

I noticed there's a lack of recent reviews here, so thought I'd write one! I went over to Skydive Spain with the BCPA this easter, and was very impressed by the whole operation. Nothing was too much trouble, no question too stupid and they worked very hard indeed getting people into the air, even with the massive demands we put on their hire kit availability! An excellent dropzone for students too, you can progress as fast as you want to. All in all, an excellent DZ, I will definitely be going back in the summer for some FS coaching :)

Six of us visited Skydive Spain in February to complete AFF courses, WARP coaching and just for fun.
The dropzone is situated near Seville, and offers a quiet location (with minimal air traffic) making it ideal for teams and students alike.
The landing area is hazard free and large enough to reduce students concerns about getting down.
There is a cafe / bar (and small pool available in the summer). The packing sheds are covered and there are rigging facilities to hand.
Without doubt the biggest selling point of this DZ is its staff. Alan HEWITT and his team are the friendliest group of people I have met on a drop zone. Nothing seems too much trouble.
The instructors are all very experienced and coach with head mounted cameras (not a charged extra). Debriefs are conducted using this media. All the instructors were scrupulously fair in their assessments.
The dropzone currently leases a Porter for part of the year, but there are plans to make this a more permenant feature.
This is a relatively new DZ, and it deserves recognition and sucess.
If you're thinking about going (irrespective of your level of experience) my advice is do it! You won't regret it.

First, a big hello to Allan Hewitt and the gang at Skydive Spain!

I am rather new to the sport, having done ten jumps in Australia in 1997 and not jumping again until last month September 2003. I´ve just finished the AFF course with Skydive Spain and HAVE been recommending them to everyone I meet for Tandem and Instructional courses. Everyone there is fantasic, and with the experience they all have, are all willing to give you helping hand whether your an expierenced skydiver or a new face.

The drop zone caters for both English and Spanish speaking skydivers, so there is no trouble communicating with anyone.

The site is new, and as normal has a little work to do before it is perfect. But the restaurant is now open and a Porter arrives in November to help the Cessna 182 get us into the continuous blue skies!

If you are from the UK or other colder parts of the European winter, Skydive Spains drop zone is the perfect place. Look them up on thier web site and drop them a line. Tell them Skip said hello.

Alan and his team have done a great job getting this DZ up and running. It's the only DZ in Southern Spain so it has a lot of potential for growth.
Since it's new you have direct input in terms of how the DZ runs and what is offered.
Definitely worth the trip if you're in the area -- and you don't have to speak Spanish!
The rating is based on it being new. If it had all the services of a bigger DZ it'd be a five!
