This is the place to jump if you are on the Western Cape. A former National Championships site, it is beautifully nestled in a wide valley with 4500’ mountains, and lots of landing area. Although the weather was not great the weekend I visited, both staff and jumpers went out of their way to make sure I got on loads. They also took me along to their favorite vineyards, topped off by a rugby match and a braai.

Visited Robertson during a trip to SA and found the staff & other jumpers to be exceptionally friendly and fun. Even though it was busy we still managed 4 206 loads to 11,000. In short, we had a blast and will definately be going back when we return to S.A

I will be biased as this is my home DZ. Since 1972, Citrusdal has represented a landmark to the SA skydiving community.

Comparitively small in numbers, it has a host of excellent staff who are always willing to give their time to newcomers.

The club's trusty Cessna 186 ensures jumpers spectacular views of both sides of the Olifantsriver Valley, and accross the Swartland to the West Coast.

Weekend first-jump courses are offered for students wishing to begin static-line progession. Tandems may be booked, and experienced visitors are always welcomed.

The club is famed for its Saturday evening braai's (barbeques), which take place around a communal fireplace after a hard day's jumping - and at which newbees and veterans alike discuss politics, religion, love & life - yet above all, skydiving.

Weather you pitch a tent, or use one of the many inexpensive bunkhouses, you'll be sure to enjoy a relaxing weekend with likeminded beings with a passion to fly.

Skydive Citrusdal is a place for everyone. Even the newest visitor/student is made to feel welcome here. It is a place where you can learn from the most experienced skydivers and still not be treated like a student. The atmosphere is relaxed and the jumping is always great. On average there is about only two bad weather weekends a year. The river is not far from the DZ and is ideal for swimming in during the sunny South African summer. There is a huge "braai" area with a massive fire where everyone can throw on their meat at the end of a fun day jumping. Skydive Citrusdal is definitely the place to be!
