Skydive Voss is located in western part of Norway surrounded by a stunning scenery and a very friendly atmosphere! First time and experienced jumpers, members and spectators are welcome to visit our beautiful drop zone. At Skydive Voss you get to experience the magic combination of the spectacular nature and the “Vossa spirit” – an open and inclusive spirit at the drop zone! We run full time may through august operating Jan Wildgruber`s 15 seater Gran Caravan D-FOXY! During these months, we offer beginner skydiving courses every week, and tandem skydives every day. Different events and training are organised to offer members and visitors unique experiences and to give the opportunity to progress in the sport. I arrived during Voss Freefly Festival. What a pity !! (I could just stay a few days there during a trip - not the entire week as freeflyers do)

There were no 1-day-fee to allow people like me to jump during this time. So... either pay a 150 $ fee for maybe 5 or 6 jumps...
...or don't. I didn't !

People from the staff didn't look so interested in welcoming me or other people for a few jumps as they were in money. Too sad.

But the place is really scenic!

Was there for Extremsports Veko.
Had lots of fun. Great nature all around. Great DZ. Great event - setup, organising, coaching, etc., fun and friendly people :)

I highly reccommend visiting it. You should go to a boogie or event there! I know they do lots of AFF and Tandems too.

Only thing I never did understand was the prices for food and drinks, its very expensive!
That and people choose to sleep and waste half of the day. Most days we started as late as 12.00.... wtf?!

If you`re going to Europe don`t even consider any other DZ(may trough august). This is pretty big DZ with approx. 15000 skydives being done during the three summer months. And its one of the cheaper places to jump in western Europe. Around 20$ for regular jump ticket. Home of the famous Extreme week, great places for base jumping only 10 min from the DZ. Soon to come a big swoop pond! Friendly atmosphere with regular parties, campfires and "jumpinn"(couple of times a week there is a jump to a special location with BBQ and party after-great)

Hey yall, this is the place to go for seeing and skydiving Norway!
Voss is a picture perfect village in the midst of Norways magnificent mountainranges, and the dropzone is in the middle of it all. Should it rain, go rafting in the river next to the 'zone, or hike the mountains, go glacierwalking, waterskiing, sailing, basejumping.. Endless possibilities, and no getting bored at remote dz's! Highly rekomended, see yall for ex-week 2004!! .)

Yeah! Thank you all for a great time during the extreme sport week. The scenary is fantastic. Green valleys and snow covered mountains. And the people: Say no more!

The AN-28 is the best plane in the world. It takes 20 jumpers to 14000 feet in no time.

I'll be back next year, hopefully for more than one week.
This time I will try some basejumping, whitewaterkayaking and rafting. Thank you,Ringnes (Norwegian beer)
