Skydiving Kiwis

What a fun, friendly and safety conscious environment for jumpers of all experience levels. From the moment we walked through the door, Pearce made us feel right at home and showed us the beautiful Cessna tail wheels they use for lifts. Brian took the time to make sure I was thoroughly briefed. Sophie signed me in and Lee put a lift together so I could get in the New Zealand skies. Brian organized a skydive that was appropriate for all of the levels of sport jumpers that were on the lift. It was obvious that they all have a passion for the sport that gives this place a great vibe. Having been jumping for over 33 years I have been to many skydiving centers, and this is one that I would gladly return to. Cheers and thank you for a fabulous time. My only regret is that I didn't have time to stay and make more skydives.

Only a couple of years old but already has developed the ability to train, and more importantly, keep, students in the sport. They go out of their way to maximise the number of sport slots available, and are always happy to organise jumps to suit the level of those who want to play, even when it means having a simpler plan so that all are included. Their focus on fun jumping for everyone certainly plays a big part in the retention of their students.

I have jumped at a lot of bigger but lesser DZ's. Skydiving Kiwi's is a small but rapidly upcoming drop zone with many great characters & features that you need on this scene. I love the enthusiasm & vibe & would recommend any skydiver or wannabe to visit. Facilities are basic but sufficient & continually growing. Still in it's infancy but certainly a forward thinking outfit...Good Luck with the venture...Blue Skies....WOOP WOOP...

After the DZ I did my AFF course closed and moved I found myself homeless!

Luckily Skydiving Kiwis (SDK) had just moved moved to their new Ashburton location and were open for business! SDK is an equal opportunity DZ meaning tandems and sportys are more or less given equal share of the skys. I've even seen a tandem (local person) rebook their slot so an out of town sporty could jump.

One morning recently knowing lots of Tandems had booked SDK decided to run super early morning jumps for the sportys just so that everyone got a fly.

Its a people first DZ and you cant ask for more than that!

A small operation, situated just 1 and a half hours south of Christchurch. After a pretty dismal tour of the south island in regards to skydiving - thanks to the greedy tandem factories that rule the skies. I was stoked to come across The Skydiving Kiwis. These guys are putting the fun back into the sport for New Zealand. Jumping all day, barbeques, beers and living up every moment are all standard procedures.
The guys haven't been open for many years yet and things are always being built and improved. This is a place for those that love to fly and don't need lots of bells and whistles. Leave your attitude at the main road entrance.

I love these guys and have only known them for a short time but Lee comes from a vast and extremely experienced background and willing to share his wealth of knowledge with all sport jumpers that come without reservation...

If you want a relaxed fun environment this is it!

Nice friendly staff, Great jumpers to talk to and learn off. Neat/quite (unless you have heaps of skydivers staying) campground. Overall one of the best place's I have jumped at for sometime. Sports jumpers are not made to feel out of place. Will be back as often as I can.

Stunning views, awesome friendly staff. BBQ's whist the sun sets. Fun jumping all day... What's not to like!
I might even move here! :-D
