Good drop zone. Upgrades in progress so soon to be better. PAC750 is a quick ride up. Plenty of different canopy sizes for hire. Load organising gets a bit chaotic at times but generally very good.

Great drop zone that is always working to become bigger and better. Soon to be using new larger landing / packing areas which look promising.

I completed several solo jumps and 3 coach jumps here.

The place runs well and is super clean.
The staff are amazing, the coaches and instructors are simply awesome.
I can't recommend this place enough!

I would highly recommend Skydive Auckland for a jump, laugh and good times!

Went to Skydive Auckland over the X'mas & New Year holiday season and got about 6 jumps in total while in Auckland!...Skydive Auckland's DZ is probably the most squeaky clean & immaculate DZ I've ever been to! Everything was super clean, including the restrooms!!! I mean, I'm a 'home-sh*tter' & I ONLY take sh*ts at my own home or 5-star hotels but if I had to take one in case of emergency, I'd feel at home doing it at Skydive Auckland. That's how clean the place is. Everyone that works there are super friendly! A great vibe overall! (in their website they mentioned "As New Zealand's most sport friendly drop zone", they're NOT joking! lol) I really feel at home while I was there. And you get a decent view while on canopy!...

The ONLY DRAWBACK: It's HELLA EXPENSIVE!!! NZ$81 ($45 jump tix + $35 rig rental) for 1 JUMP! YIKES!!!...But I'd still go back for the atmostphere and I had a great experience!

My first introduction into AFF have recently completed level 3 with Skydive Auckland. Impressed by the level of skill and experience by the instructors there. Everyone is very professional and the training is methodical with thorough debriefing after each jump. I also like the culture with everyone gathering for a chat and a beer at the end of the day. I have been around many aeroclubs in NZ and Australia having done around 450 hours of fixed wing flying. The culture at Skydive Auckland would honestly be the best I've experienced.

Overall Skydive Auckland is fantastic. I came to Auckland early 2013 with 16 jumps and within 6 months I had 30+ jumps, my A license and a lot more skill than before. Not to mention the instructors are great and go above and beyond to help new skydivers learn to be good and safe.

Skydive Auckland is one of those awesome DZ that seem to have found a pretty good balance between tandems, student coaching and sport jumping for the more experienced.

If you ever want to do a tandem, come for a casual sport jump or even take the first step in learning how to jump than Skydive Auckland is definitely the place to do it!!

I have only recently started doing my AFF, but the guys and girls at the drop zone are very professional and good natured. Auckland Skydive has been a great place to learn with good facilities and excellent equipment, making it safe and enjoyable. The only downside for me is living so far away, that if there are changes in weather it's a pain in the ass when wind picks up ... But maybe I should just move closer! Also there is good community of sporties there that are always keen for a laugh and a beer.

This is a fantastic Dropzone to do a sky-dive. I did my first tandom out there in April 2013. Instantly hooked.

The friendly staff and Jumpmasters made me feel very welcome and assured me it would be an experience I wouldnt forget. And sure enough, I didnt. it wasnt just the jump that formed the experience, it was the build up on the ground, followed by a good laugh when I had touched down!

Having continued my AFF licence at Skydive Auckland, it was the best decision I could of made. The training was really professional and fun, and it allowed me to build connections with the staff of Skydive Auckland.

I have always felt "at home" within the Sky-dive community out at Skydive Auckland.

As a busy active IT Professional, I dont always get the opportunity to check the weather forecast or even get out to the DZ on a weekly basis. The Skydive Auckland team have put together Facebook Pages which allow me to continue to be up-to-date with the following day forecasts (the night before)as well as check out photos and videos of other peoples jumps. This is a great way to engage with other members of our community.

In addition to this, Skydive Auckland have a a dedicated "Students" Facebook page in which us keen students can talk about our jumps and learnings, further promoting a community feel.

All-in-all if you're looking for a place which will accept you and foster your passion to jump out of perfectly good planes, then you cant go past Skydive Auckland.

It has become clear to me that after a 12 year break from the sport, previous experience counts for very little.

I couldn't have asked for a more professional re introduction to the sport. Thanks a bunch Fiona and Billy, whatever they're paying you it's not enough

It's great to find a DZ which is not just about the business side (tandems), but about all types of jumping and helping new people get in to the sport.

Weather you want to learn or have 100's of jumps…this is the place to get your fix.
Its awesome to have the choice of 13,000 or 16,000ft loads and with the friendliness and experience of the staff, you can't go wrong.
I've just had friends over from Russia and the team at Skydive Auckland had them signed up, geared up and jumping within an hours time. Truly awesome...

I personally look forward to many more jumps at Skydive Auckland and look forward to joining them at some of their big annual events.
Big thumbs up to all the fellas at Skydive Auckland.

Awesome place for sporties, but also a friendly environment for AFF students and newbies to the sport. Great people, and very structured AFF course!

As a sport jumper it is a great place to go. You can always get on a load which is always to a minimum of 13,000ft.

Recently I attended a freefly camp which was really beneficial to my progress. They had load organisers for all levels of freeflyers. I'll definitely be going to the next one that is planned.

It's nice to go to a dropzone that welcomes both tandem and sport jumpers.

As noted above, this has always been a Dropzone in one form or another. Recently taken over by a commercial outfit heading into their second summer of operation and if the first year or two of their operation is anything to go by, this little DZ has the potential to turn in to a great one.

In the last decade or so, NZ DZ's have been notably Tandem and Tourist focussed, and decidedly unwelcoming to the Sport Jumper. Skydive Auckland however, seem to be doing there best to change this, with quite some success. They usually manifest the loads, depending on demand, with a mix of Tandem and Sport Jumpers, a win win for all involved, as the Tandem punters get to see real Skydivers exiting, and the Tandem passenger can fill the load if not enough Sporties are available.

This DZ is also the testing ground for Icarus Canopies, the second largest canopy manufacturer in the world. And on any given day, their fearless, courageous and yes, maybe crazy test pilots can be witnessed jumping the latest cutting edge Canopies, with some spectacular swoop landings. Don't be put off by their lofty status on the DZ, these guys are fully approachable and happy to discuss/chat about any aspect of the canopies they are jumping.

It has to be said too, that the annual Skychicks and October Fest Boogies are not to be missed. If not for all the load organised jumps, 12 plus bigway FS, 4 ways FS, and dare I say it all that Sit, Head Down and Tracking jump stuff, but for the legendary Boogie parties. Whatever you do, best not to get caught alone in the Spa by the marauding hoards of highly sexed females if your not prepared to take them on.

Skydive Auckland is the main skydiving centre for both ' sport and tandem skydiving ' in the north island of New Zealand.

Located approximately 40 min. north of Auckland city, Skydive Auckland offers a wide range of skydiving activities for the many different types of sport skydiving from freeflying, to wing-suiting and formation skydiving.

Skydive Auckland is also a highly rated Qualmark ' tandem skydive ' operation that is known and established as Auckland's highest skydive at 16,500 feet.

In addition to the great facilities and professional, good-natured, helpful staff this drop zone also has a wide range of experienced sports skydivers who regularly jump here ranging from new AFF students, to novice skydivers working on their A and B licenses, all the way through to highly experienced and world-class skydivers that have been involved in the sports for decades and have many thousands of jumps.

Overall this dropzone offers the very best skydiving experience for anybody looking to either skydive once via a tandem or hook straight into the exciting and vibrant ' sport skydiving scene ' here in New Zealand.

The Parakai DZ is where Skydive Auckland is located and is a very popular and well loved centre for sport and tandem skydiving in New Zealand.

So if you would like to experience the ' King of Adventures ' visit Skydive Auckland and step into a whole new world of world-class awesomeness !

Highly Recommended A+++++

Did my AFF here and its my home DZ so I am naturally Bias.

The clean smell mixed of our beautiful country mixed with AV gas is nothing short of magical.

Coaching / AFF and lots of keen sporty's to jump with.

Loads seven days a week from a sound 10am or earlier if AFF loads are going. An excellent way to start the day.

A PAC750XL to 13000 is both quick and generally pretty quiet.

Or jump a cessna 182 load to 12 if you are so inclined.

A great place - great people.

but remember dont land over the beer line... It will cost at least a box of Corona's.
