We rented a motor bike in Amsterdam to go there and didn't bring own gear. It was very easy to rent any size of wing at the local gear store. Uncomplicated and fast. My girlfriend made a tandem and the instructor let me jump together with them, which was pretty cool.
Sometimes we were on short weather holds because of clouds but as soon as it started turning again the two caravans got a lot of people up in short time.

Over all it was a great experience and we will go again, any time we will be staying in Amsterdam!

I was in the Netherlands for work, and decided to find a local DZ. Check in / briefing was fast. Fast caravan to 12000', but a couple of the jumps only went to 9000' due to air traffic into Amsterdam.

Everyone was very friendly and fun to jump with. Quite inclusive and positive atmosphere. Would recommend if your in the Netherlands.

It's a great dropzone. Let's go through cons first.

Cons:

Sometimes loads go to only 9000ft : This is because Teuge is relatively close to Amsterdam Airport (Schipol) and during the day it is pretty normal that Schiphol will not allow skydiving activities over 9000ft. But this happens only for a few hours. It's still possible to make 5/6 jumps easily from 12000ft a day.

No Supermarket nearby: Teuge is basically in a village or something. I've spent several nights at DZ and downside is that there is no supermarket nearby so you have to go to City (Apeldoorn) which is 5-10 minutes by car. Ask for a lift someone will drop you off.

Pros:

Cheap Jump tickets: jump ticket is 20 euros. That is super cheap. Aircraft will get you upto 12000ft in no time. And mostly pilots take it upto 12500 or even 13000. My logbook is full of jumps from 13000 and 12500. Some days if there is a bigway training you can go to 15000 for 25 euros.

Friendly People: Everyone is super friendly there. From girls at manifest to instructors to packers. I'm a rookie but still i managed to make a lot of friends there in no time. Sometimes instructors can ask you safety related questions or give you advice but then again we all want to jump and be safe.

Fast packers: If you're bored and don't want to pack your own gear then make use of packers. They pack for 5 euros and are super fast. Usually there are always 2 packers but on busy days there are even 4. And these packers are super good. Never had a hard opening on packjobs.

Top Class instructors: There are some really good instructors working at Teuge. You got a question, ask them and they'll have the answer for you and in the evening grab a drink with them.

Things you'd want to know:
- Stay at de Wold is 10 euros per night.
- There are 2 riggers next door.
- When you're a guest at Teuge. Ask for steer briefing and landing briefing.
- Don't be mad if you're a novice jumper and they stop you from going up because of hard wind (its for your own good)
- Free Wifi is available

I'd highly recommend this DZ to everyone.

I first got to experience NPCT Teuge when I signed up for the Pathfinder Parachute group round licence (after a 25 year layoff from army jumping). Aside from a long drive from The Hague, found it to be a great place. Planned on doing my A-Lic there, but Spain came up as an option and decided to head there to enjoy consistently good weather. I have taken friends & family there to do tandems and continue to jump there myself. From the friendly faces at manifest, to the very skilled instructors and staff and good social environment in the bar at the end of the day - highly recommend. I do wish they'd maybe start earlier and finish later - especially when conditions always seem to be best at these times of the day. Blue Skies!

I had a day spare in Holland while working there so I thought i'd check out Teuge. Very glad I did :-)

I pitched up the evening before to watch the landing area. Very nice vibe, everyone speaking English and Dutch.

The DZ is based on an active busy airport and has a nice large landing area with plenty of green to land out on.

The centre is the busiest training centre in Holland with static line, AFF, Round (military) and Tandems.

All the instructors - without exceptions - were happy to chat and help a new visitor. Not a Sky God in sight (see the previous Review!)

They happily gave me a full briefing and tour of the DZ.

25EUR get you 3500, 6000 or 12000 depending on the plane load and number manifested.

They run 2 x Super Caravans ....this is my first time in a Super Caravan and they are FAST! Manifest is stress free and there's a great bar/restaurant hang out.

There is camping onsite and large training and packing hangars. Theres' an onsite shop and riggers loft.

This was a great DZ and I will be back.

I arrived here with a fellow fun jumper on a day that was rather windy but we decided to drive up and see how it looked when we arrived. The lady behind the manifest counter was super nice and very helpful.

The issues began when we asked about the wind limits, cloud base etc. several male staffers laughed like it was the stupidest question they had ever heard. One of them even declared in a very know all tone "weather has no bearing on skydiving". We found the over all attitude and arrogance (except for the lady at manifest) combined with their view on jumping in high winds was enough to turn away from this DZ for good.

It must be amazing to work at this DZ and think you know everything and that no one else is as good as you!

I have jumped this DZ many times and can say everyone from Simon (the Boss) to the packers and hospitality staff (de Wolk) totally rock. If you are a fun jumper trying to squeeze in a couple of drops after getting bored in Amsterdam....this is the place. The rental gear is top notch. NPCT has gear and next door is the Parachute Case....a full service rental house and rigger on duty pretty much all day. you can reserve a dorm room bunk very easy and cheap thru Werner. He runs De Wolk, the on site manager for food, drink and merriment. (tell him Eric from NY sent you and I get a free beer next time I am there!).
Like every DZ there are cliques.....and so what, screw it. The Dutch can be very friendly, so make friends and you'll find someone or three to turn points with.
The cultural make up of the DZ is diverse...Dutch, English, German and an occasional Yank. There will be many tongues spoken there, besides the Dutch speak better english then most native english speakers!
as far as jumper disciplines...everyone is represented...
you wanna freefly? got it. Belly? done. CRW? there are some world record holders on staff here! Static Line? your choice of canopy..square AND round! yes, rounds...Pathfinder Parachute Group run round canopy courses here several times a year...for those that dare.
once again, I have jumped NPCT many times, but I felt welcome the first time I was there. They aren't a USPA DZ but bring your card, proof of insurance and log book and you'll be on a load in no time.
Blue Skies.

I visited Teuge several times for the famous CF Spectacle. Each time the visit was a pleasure.

There were friendly LOs and coaches, nice people, professional staff and pilots with a Grand Caravan and additional aircraft C206 or Caravan when nessessary.

I selected free camping, but i could have a bunkhouse style room too. Good food and drinks (Heineken) was available in the skydiver pub "De Wolk". Hey i even could wash my clothes before departure there.

OK, the weather in Netherlands sometimes suck, but these people are very good in spotting the next blue hole in the sky!

CU 2006 again!
Stefan

I choose Teuge because it is about 20 minutes from where I live. I had visited other drop zones and chose Teuga because of the professional and safe feeling it gave me, and of course it's proximity!

I was not disapointed with my choice, the staff were very helpful and knowledgable.

A great dropzone, I just turned up got through the paperwork and validation to jump. Briefed, and hired the gear from the kit store (first class)

Had a great jump (first non-home DZ jump)

All staff and club members were very helpful and friendly.
