I recently went for skydiving at zoo skydive. It was my first time and it was a wonderful experience, beautiful dropzone!! Very friendly and helpful people. They even came to pick us from the station. the scenery was beautiful. Though was bit scared before but I really enjoyed the dive. I would definitely like to come back to do AFF course there

Visited the Zoo on a Friday afternoon whilst on holiday in Rome. Dz staff were super friendly and the document check was completed with ease.

DZ brief was concise and before I knew it I was on the first lift of the day with nearly new rental gear.

Landing area is sandwiched between the hanger and runway but it did not prove to be an issue.

All in all a great experience which I would recommend, it certainly satisfied my need to get a few in whilst on holiday.

Grazie Mille lo Zoo!

Checked out the place last Sunday as I had a day to spare in Rome, and i can safely say that it was a great experience.

I got in contact with the DZ through e-mail before visiting and they were very helpful throughout - outlining prices, directions, procedures, etc...

I spent some fun hours in great company, right from when I got picked up at the station in the morning, till when I was dropped back off in the late afternoon. Students, staff and instructors add to the great environment.

- Prices are reasonable
- It's easy to get on loads
- Scenery is nice
- Instructors & staff are very helpful (& speak English well)
- Quick access from central Rome

The DZ is situated just 45 minutes (€6 by train) from the main Termini station at Rome.

A definite must if you're in the area during the weekend, or if you're planning a holiday in Rome and have a free day for skydiving on Saturday or Sunday. I will surely visit again.

P.S - This is the second DZ I've visited, since my AFF course in Ocana, Madrid.

I went in vacation to Italy with my girlfriend and decided to skydive ( always bring my rig with me Just in case).

Well this time was the case, look up dz.com and found The Zoo skydive 1.5 hrs From where I was in Rome, rented a car and went there...
Manifest woman does not understand about skydive and don't speak good English.

Dropzone is located right at the intersection of 2 highways west and south, if you go south is swamp if you go west there is houses, so you have to stay in your pattern all the time, North of the DZ is a big mountain, as a result the airplane (no seatbelts by the way) only flies East to West with the exit point right on top of the highways. DZ has a left hand pattern and right at the cross wind pattern has a huge power line which makes it very scary taking in consideration you are very low at that point and the landing area is not very grassy and with some rocks. I don't have a lot of jumps so it’s very difficult to find somebody to jump with me cuz most people there think they are skygods.
Not going back there ever.

Skydive The Zoo has an excellent staff and very welcoming people except manifest woman which is very rude and wants your money. The other one is BRIAN BERO who told the other staff member in Italian that all Americans should clean our asses with our USPA license once in Italy( he did not know that we speak Italian). The only thing I wanted as a tandem inst. is jump with my brother for the first time and it was not possible at that DZ.

As part of a visiting group from the UK, I found this to be a vary welcoming and hospitable DZ. Despite my very basic grasp of the Italian language, great effort was made by the staff and regulars to communicate in a friendly manner. I only mention this because it has not been the case at all DZs that I've visited where English is not the first language (admittedly, my attempts at learning other languages could be more thorough!). Coaching was provided free of charge - not even requiring the payment of the coaches slot and the aircraft were ideal. The manifestor ensured that we got on as many lifts as we wanted to (bearing in mind that us northern Europeans weren't exactly acclimatised to the heat of central Italy!)and the owner made a point of introducing himself to us individually to welcome us to the DZ. As a final example of the friendliness extended to us: on our last night in Italy some of the staff and regulars from the DZ invited us out for dinner with them - and an excellent time was had by all. Tremendous!

Myself & a group of friends visited The Zoo last month.. Despite it usually being a weekend DZ, it was kept open for us for a whole fortnight! The people/staff were incredibly friendly & helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Chilled out, happy atmosphere, great planes, free coaching (Pizzi was outstanding), beautiful weather..etc.. I do not have a bad word to say about The Zoo. It is the friendliest DZ I have ever been to and I cant wait to go back.. Thank you for an awesome holiday Riccardo and all at The Zoo. x

Brand new DZ opened last year in Terni, just north of Rome, Italy. Setting the standards in Italy and poss Europe. Fast growing, good enthuasism and ideology from the owner Riccardo.
Lots of things gonna be happenning there this year, and we Sky and snow adventures have decided to work out of the drop zone also.

This dz opened in spring and already is the place to be in Italy. We spent there a weekend with our Italian friends and the place is awesome. Excellent and friendly staff that offers free RW FF and WS coaching. Not a tandem factory at all.
Have to try it out. The best Italain DZ imho.
