Made 2 jumps here yesterday. The staff speak Italian which is a challenge for a native English speaker but the place has an excellent vibe, welcoming all disciplines; Wingsuits, swoopers, freeflyers, belly flyers, tandem students, and hookers (the canopy kind). Lift tickets are pricey (29 Euro), but they go to 14k with it so it's not so bad (just be glad it's not Switzerland: ch-CHING!). Huge grass strip with lots of outs. Odd things noticed: The pilot sans bailout rig, and no seatbelts in the Caravan. I love how the Italians celebrate last load, by popping lots of Prosecco (fizzy wine akin to Champagne) and serving desserts. The best part: Everyone lined up at the side of the runway to moon the plane as it made a high-speed pass upon departing to its home field - I haven't done that in years. Good times, and Italian food afterward in a nearby restaurant with my fellow American jumpers. If you are fortunate enough to get stationed in Northern Italy, this is a great DZ to try.

I'm originally from Bassano, a nearby town but I learned to skydive in US, so it was a pleasant surprise to see how well organized they are.
There are great and nice people, the Italian champions and other extremely experienced people, they made me feel like home immediately and they have very good rental rigs and canopies for everybody taste.
Ticket was EUR 21 and rental 12 for each jump, I guess they don't have daily rentals.
They only thing I didn't like is that they must shut down the airplane from 11am to 2-3pm because the whuffos complained for noise ( I don't know who, is in the middle of fields!)
Grazie a Gianni e Armido, can't wait to come back!
CIAO!

I sent them an email 3 months prior to the date we were hoping to skydive.

They confirmed our date and time. I would check in with them at least once a month for the next months to make sure our dates were confirmed as they did not ask for a deposit. Then again 1 week before the day, and finally the DAY BEFORE he confirmed the appointment.

We drove 3.5 hrs (essentially using up a full day of our vacation) to go skydive and when we got there, the office was closed. I then called him to ask him where he was, and he simply responded with "today is not possible, it is Monday" after 3 month of communicated that specific day and time! He never apologized or offer any sort of solution.

We wasted an entire day of our short vacation because of THIENE Skydive!

And no, it wasn't cancelled due to bad weather, it was beautiful outside. It was simply a lack of professionalism and just a bad business!

Their Turbofinist plane is relatively small, but 10 jumpers is good enough for me. The people there are Extremely nice! The lady who jumps orange and black quasar is exceptionally nice as well! The owner was more than willing to find me someone to jump with, he speaks fairly good English and really generous. I cant say enough for the people who I jumped with. There is a bus stop that ends right before the actual bus station, but you have to ask to get the right one, its at least 1-2 stops before. There is a train that goes into Thiene but you can find a website for both. The bus I took from Vicenza is outside next to the main Staizzion de Trini and run almost every half hour to hour for roughly 2.50 Euro. Unaware of their bunkhouses, but 'Im sure their pleasant as the people :) Miss you guys! Arevaderci!! -SaltyDogsrfr

I've been to that part of Italy twice now. Only once to jump. Great area, nice people. Small enough to allow personable atmosphere, but definately well equipped as well... Great place.

Thiene is in the North-East Italy, very close to wonderful place such as Venice and Adriatic

Sea 50Km , Lake Garda and Verona 80 kM and , few miles norh Asiago Highlands and , just behind the incredible Dolomites. It is easily reachable by car (highway A4 Venice-Milan) but it is also near to the main North-East airport of Venice and Treviso well connected by low cost airline.
