Mainly military training mid week - but visiting jumpers still welcome, and an active sport skydiving DZ at weekends. Skydive Bad Lippspringe DZ has fantastic facilities for all types of parachute training and is well worth a visit. see the reviews for jumper comments. We also offer all NATO Armed forces heavily discounted jump tickets as well as Tandem and Static line courses for dependents.

I love Skydive Bad Lippspringe, FACT! From my first jump there in 2000 I have never looked back. The DZ still retains the "homely" Club feel although it is a large DZ with great facilities. Many Skydivers can still be seen late at night after jumping has finished around the camp fire. There is a bunk house and camping area (with RV hook ups) that can be used for FREE. The DZ has a Cessna 208 Caravan and the pilot sure knows how to get the most out of it bringing us to the top as fast as possible! The jump tickets only cost 27 euro's to the top and are heavily discounted for NATO Military personnel. The DZ can take tandems and run regular 1 Jump Static line courses (which is still the most cost effective way to get your parachuting license). All skydiving nations are welcome at Skydive Bad Lippspringe! Some think that a military DZ might not be that welcoming, but to be honest you cant even notice that it is one. Skydive Bad Lippspringe is a BPA (British Parachute Association) member anyone not part of the BPA needs to ensure that they have the following, EU Jumpers: FAI, National parachuting license +100 jumps and proof of liability insurance.
All others: Make sure you have all you relevant skydiving paperwork (Parachuting license, skydiving logbook) and you can take out a BPA temporary insurance.

RAPA/ Bad Lippspringe DZ is my local DZ and you may think i might give it a good review for that reason but i'll be completely honest for this.
As a military DZ it is open from February until November every day as they run militery courses throughout thr week but they welcome anyone to get on a lift. At the weekend there is a mix of both local Germans (most speak English) and the military jumpers and there are lifts organised non-stop as long as they can fill the slots. Coaching is second to none as the instructors there have knowledge of most disciplines and if they don't know then the locals are always there to give a helping hand!

The only downside is the limited facilities on offer. There is a small cafe, shop, bar and rigging service. It can be difficult to find the first time but nothing a sat nav won't fix! The weather can be unpredictable but once the blue skies arrive the days jumping are long and the atmoshpere is great!
