It was a random decision for me and my friend as we decided to do tenden jumps at Prague. It was indeed a once in a life time experience. The jump itself was thrilling and there is no words to describe. However, I purchased the DVD + photos and I did not check it. They gave me photos of previous guests. I was truly dissapointed with that because now I do not have a copy of my photos, in which I was entitled for.

Having moved to the CR four weeks ago, I've spent two of my free weekends here. The place has got a great vibe...yes there's a bit of a language barrier but if you're nice to people - they're nice back no matter how little you actually understand of each other.
Super slick skydive credit card system means you can book yourself in for ten jumps at 8.00 am. Here's the catch - if you're late getting there you might be in for a long wait.
Super comfy 18 seater, good facilities (proper rooms) a bar and a town down the road for misbehaviour. I'm just not looking forward to the winter...

Me and a friend (both A licence) went out there to get a few cheap jumps and suss out the place during weekdays.

Prior to the trip, we sent several emails well in advance asking about acommodation etc. but heard nothing back. So we headed out with a tent just in case and arriving mid afternoon found the place completely empty. Considering there was good jumping conditions it was a bit dissapointing that they had packed up so early. Even though we were there weekdays, we were expecting a few more regulars to show up but all that came through were tandems.
We pitched our tent for the duration of our stay and were charged a little over £2 pppn.

The DZ got a lot busier on Wed afternoon when the L410 was flying, but it would have been great if they were doing loads from the morning instead of at 2pm. All the loads running up to 5 or 6pm were full up by noon, so get there in the morning if you want to get on a few jumps.
The DZ only seemed to have a short 3-5 hour window when they were jumping each day which meant we didn't get as many jumps as hoped, but you can't expect it to be heaving with jumpers all week.
There were a couple of people around who were really helpful at giving some coaching tips which was good.

I would really recommend renting a car while here. Althouhg public transport can get you within 15mins walk or something like that, having a car made it so much easier getting around and nipping into town to get supplies etc. We got one through our airline (Jet2.com) for a little over £12 per day!! As said, Prague is about 40min drive away so we popped in after jumping each day since the DZ was rather quiet.

All in all the DZ is a friendly and exciting place, (we had some language problems so a phrase book might be an idea) and I would recommend vsiting there. It was a shame we weren't ther on the weekend because I'm sure it would really pick up then.

Popped along there for a long weeknd. Found 2x L410s, 1 Mi8 chopper and an AN2 (?) biplane. Not bad all. From a UK jumpers perspective that's a lot. :-)

Do some research into transport (IDOS.cz)and you can get to within 15 mins walk of it, by bus from prague, for -well- under a fiver return. Or hire a car for a 40 min drive.

Coupled with very good (and cheap) beer and food in the restaurant, free tent pitches/showers and an efficient and timely manifest, it's great if you're in that part of the world.

My only gripe was that there was very little effort to involve new jumpers. I speak the language (no biggie if you don't, everyone speaks English and/or German too) and even then it wasn't an easy ride! There was some wingsuit organising and a girls-way RW organiser, though i think they were there only that weekend. Still, 13 jumps in 2 days, including the chopper/biplane) for under £150 including food, beers and transport from prague meant it was -well- worth the visit.

I'll be back if i can ever get some time off work...

While helping to organise a friends stag party in Prague, I wanted to do a couple of jumps. ( I am only an A licence with just 80 jumps )I found from the web site that the cost of a tandem is approx. 1/3 of that in the UK.I asked my friends and 6 of them said they wanted to jump. I contacted the DZ and they were more than helpful. They arranged transport to and from our hotel door to door and even though 2 dropped out due to excess alcohol the previous night they were just as helpful once we arrived and for the time we were there. They kitted me out, briefed the tandems and off we went. The result was another couple of jumps in my log book and 4 guys absolutely buzzing for the rest of our stay. We have just arrived home and after watching the video's my friends are buzzing once again. Who knows we might even make a skydiver out of one of them??
Thanks to all at the DZ for making our first full day in Prague, one that we all will never forget, even if the rest of the stay is a drunken haze.....
