This DZ is now called Parachute Voltige. I was just at Voltige last week, had a great time. They had a Twin Otter and perhaps the fastest Caravan I’ve been in, which enabled us to be doing 29-way formation jumps. The best landing area I’ve ever seen—lush grass 4” thick. They have belly, freefly, CF events throughout the summer. Everything was very well organized, you pay the packers directly, the student setup and equipment seemed top-notch. No pool, but an in-ground trampoline (mainly for kids), and because of this darn virus, their usual café was not set up, but they had lots of great snacks and pre-prepared dishes. I’ve been told they have more days of sun than any other town in Quebec. Those of you who go south for some winter jumping, Quebec is the place to be in the summer! I have not looked, but my guess is there are more turbine-equipped DZs in Quebec than anywhere else in Canada.

Nothing but great things to say about this DZ. so much fun. Never had to wait long for a load. I saw free flyers, belly flyers, and participated (and went for) crw jumps. Whatever you want to do, there will probably be someone who will join you.

For English only speakers ... don't worry about the "language barrier" ... almost everyone speaks enough English that it's not a barrier at all. I didn't find out that phrases like "my first" and "free beer" translate easy enough.

Kudos to my new friends at voltige for creating a great dropzone. now if we can just convert more of those meat missles to crw dogs ... hmm.

After having spent several years jumping at another Montreal location that I won't name I discovered Voltige. The atmosphere is so much better, I get treated with respect and there is a great atmosphere that was never present at the other dropzone. I have jumped at many different dropzones all over the world and this one ranks up there with all the good ones.

I just had the chance to jump at Voltige yesterday. Nice experience. We were originally going to another DZ north of Montreal but they had 40 tandems to do so we couldn't get manifested. I understand because tandems help pay the bills.

Voltige was a bit out of the way but once there, we easily got manifested on the C-182 within 15 minutes of our arrival. People were friendly and helpful and didn't mind that it took me a long time to get out of the plane (my first Cessna jump).

After weeks of trying to get busy riggers at different DZs to give me my A parachute packers course, I was refered to one at this DZ by one of my coaches. He was available, helpful, showed me a few tricks to help get that slippery bundle bagged nicely and now that part of my training is done.

We didn't camp this time but they have facilities for that as well as showers and a small cantine. Packing area is covered and the landing area was quite large, even for beginners like myself. The landing area had some small rolling areas surrounded by trees, so that might make some off center (+/- 1000 m) landings difficult.

The flights up were a bit cramped in the Cessnas but the view of the Laurentian foothills and the St-Laurence river made up for that. Definately jump Voltige during Autumn for the colours and great views.
