Nouvel Air is located at the edge of Farnham, surrounded by Farming fields and a small lake. There are 2 drop zones and are easily seen from above. AND what a view! Although one might be busy in a 4way or organized big way, its still a nice place to jump with wonderful views anywhere you look (the farms, lake champlain, farnham, military base, etc.)
On weekends, there are plenty of back to back flights. The amount of jumps you do are only limited by your packing speed.
I recommend you bring a tent if your planning on staying till after last flight and first beer....
(just remember your sleeping in a tent next to a plane, so you'll get woken up for first flight).
There are many events and training courses throughout the season.
A great place for a progression, and a fun time.

If you didn't flew the Beach18, you need to go more often! Google it if you don't know what it is :)

Amazing dropzone with load of belly flyers! Often organise big loads and home of Evolution Team! Camping site, shower, nice food, but mostly, A real nice and confy Twin Otter to bring you in the sky often in a day!

If you wanna jump near montreal, best place to be for Belly flyers. Freefly and drinking would be more Parachute Montreal, but you ll find some here too!

If you can ride the beach, go for it! Only dropzone I know still running one!

The management puts a lot of emphasis on training and certification. They are capable of handling large parachutist meets. Lots of expertise available.

It was the DZ for 2012 Misson 100. It been successful because of the implication of every body on the dropzone, from the manifest to the load organizers ! Specialy Martin Lemay, who was leading the event as a master. The facilities on the DZ, and the location, were perfect for it. The owners where friendly and very into it, being close to the participants.

The DZ has change from the past when the day was over after the last tandem... Last year, there was load organizing, with pros, even when it was not a preparation for Mission 100. I guess they will continue that way !

This year, I spent a few weekends at Nouvelair. That's where I did my first two jumps of the season, I didn't know the DZ, the staff there and they welcomed me as if I was part of regular :). The staff is friendly, accessible and generous with their knowledge. A nice place to pack INSIDE with air-conditioned! If you want to do quality jump with coaching it's the place to be.

They recently had an amazing Mission 100 big way event, the Canada Record big way Skydive event, (happened to be Friday 13th, July 13, 2012). I participated in the big way attempts, and the dropzone vibe has changed significantly. This 102-way successful record blew past the old 59-way record.

In the past, they seems to have had a somewhat high priority on tandems, but it seems to have changed, especially with the recent rise of Skyventure Montreal (first Skyventure in Canada, very closely affilated with the Lemays -- Canada's 4-way Team Evolution from Nouvel-Air) and the growing pool of experienced skydivers. I'd give them a try, it's a lot of fun during a good boogie event or big way camp that they do more often now. They have now become the big way central of Canada.

At NouvelAir you will find people with tones of experience. Many of the coachs have more then 15 000 jumps and it is also the DZ of Evolution team. All of the coachs are always willing to share their experience and jump with you. Staff is available to organize loads and activities. They invested in the renovation of the facilities so it is comfortable, spacious and clean. They have so many activities planned, I'll need to get a second job to keep up! ;-)

Went there for the 2012 20-way, 40-way weekends, and the (Sucessful) Mission 100 Event. Each time left me driving away with a smile on my face and fun & good quality skydives in my log book.

These people know how to organize and run events, even more importantly they know how to coach and teach, from first jumps, to competitive 4-way, to Big Ways. It's also nice and close to the Montreal Wind Tunnel.

This really is a fun place to jump and learn. I would and DO reccomend them to my friends and Family.

I have been to quite a few well established DZs throughout North America and Europe, both large and small, that have provided a terrific skydiving experiance, but Nouvel Air has now set a new BENCHMARK. The owners and staff ALL put a lot into making this DZ the best it can be, and are using a 'continuous improvement' philosophy to make it better. The surrounding Quebec towns and countryside are also idylic, for those who like to leave the DZ. Well done!

A fantastic DZ just a short drive away from Montreal. A great set-up with everything you need on-site. Great coaches with real friendly staff give this dz a unique vibe that's very welcoming. Will definitely be going back!

I have been jumping for almost 20 years. I started at a small Cessna Drop Zone, and have traveled all over North America to many US and Canadian Drop Zone, and I currently work weekends at a Turbine Drop Zone here in Canada.  While I have never been interested in traveling to Quebec to jump during my entire skydiving life, since Mission 100 - the Canadian large formation record jump was to be hosted at Nouvel Air – I bought tickets to Montreal and decided to attend.

I did not really know what to expect from this Drop Zone or the people that ran it.  I can’t begin to emphasis how professionally run the drop zone is, the people are genuinely some of the friendliest and most down to earth people I’ve meet through-out my skydive career.

Yes, I was there to attend a very special event, but the DZ continued normal operations while the record attempts were ongoing, and from what I observed the customers and staff – many of whom were also on the record attempts – were all having a great time.

I would sincerely recommend this DZ to anyone who wishes to visit a World Class Skydiving facility in operation.  The facilities, planes and people were all a class act – one that would be difficult to duplicate.

I visited this dropzone for the first time this year, and have so far this season spent three consecutive weekends + one long weekend + a little over a week there (for a special event).

Everyone made me feel welcome and my husband and I didn't have any trouble finding (very skilled!) people to jump with. In fact, the dropzone owner and his sons frequently walked around the dropzone asking everyone if they wanted to go up for another load and, if so, if they had someone to jump with. They frequently organized jumps for everyone, even taking up people with lower jump numbers.

The owner made sure that our 8-way group could always get on a load, even if they had hundreds of tandems to do that day. He even once sent up the plane half-empty just for us!

The staff was eager to help us plan our 4-way and 8-way jumps, whether it be exit position or a difficult block. And when the staff members include Canada's champion team (Evolution), you know you're getting good advice! I really learned a lot from them. You can tell their students are getting amazing training, too.

I was really surprised and pleased by the welcome we got and I hope to go back to Nouvel Air soon! Merci à tout le monde pour le bel accueil!

Kim

In the last years, Nouvel Air have changed their way to help newbies grow in the sport, Michel, one of the owner and Canadian 4way champion, jump with us and coach us just for the fun of it... and some of the coach on place do that often to.
The facilities are great, AC to pack :-)

But for the record, if you come from somewhere else, please go talk to coach present yourself... It's not the kind of place that they will take you by the hand and do stuff

They're very hard on the security, but I think it's only good.

great landing area, many option B

Thx Martin Lemay for the Canadian record

This place is absolutely Awesome! The professionalism, skills, talent and willingness to share that is terrific. They go every extra mile and make the experience SO memorable. The hosts have gone from being a great National Team to being THE incredibly down-to-earth, funny, hilarious, talented, bend-over-backwards, willing to share any advice kind of National Team that is inspirational and represent all that we love about our sport. They are the evolution of our passion!

I did my first tandem Wednesday at this facility,I am a fairly big boy and was worried they would not let me jump, they made me feel very comfortable and took me up for the first but not last experience of my life. I did not feel anything negative about a tandem factory,I actually think its great to see so many people jump for their first time. IF it wasn't for that how would we get addicted to the sport? If you go to their website you will see just how professional it is. The neatness of the facility really makes you feel like safety is a big factor for them. I will be back and this time for my solo course.

Anybody that writes a positive review of this dropzone has not jumped at many places. I get treated poorly at my home dropzone so I am used to not being pampered but the treatment I got at Nouvel Air last summer was pathetic. I spent a weekend jumping there felt like I was being asked to leave the whole time I was there. I was lucky enough to find another place to jump (Voltige 2001) where there was very few english speaking people but the atmosphere and treatment was a thousand times better. Save your time and make sure you avoid the nasty people who run this place.

I have been jumping for over ten years and with my job I travel a lot so I have had the opportunity to jump at many different dropzones in many different countries. When I first arrived at Nouvel Air I had two clients that were doing tandems. I was treated very well. When I showed up the following Friday without the tandems I was treated like I had communicable disease.
I managed to find another dropzone in the Montreal area that has the same quality setup so I will be taking all my business there from now on.
I have jumped at over 50 dropzones in more than 10 countries and have never been treated the way that I was treated there.

I was at this DZ on Canada day 2006, and got there just in time for the last load before a storm came in. Paperwork was simple, briefing on landing area was detailed yet brief enough to get me in the air. Their Otter climbed to altitude fast, dz was very easy to spot, nice scenery, and the location is one big out -- very few landing hazards. Landing area is big and well-kept...staff was very welcoming and courteous, vibe was good, bathroom was very clean and well-kept, top-quality facilities...other reviewers say that the dz is a tandem factory but I did not get that impression at all -- I felt very welcome as a first-time fun jumper at this DZ. I'd jump there again anytime and this dz is one of the many reasons I look forward to returning to Montreal!

Do not be fooled by reviews made by people whose home DZ is NouvelAir. Although the vibe has somewhat gotten better lately, they have a long way to go to get rid of the tandem factory feeling this place gives. Students and Tandem passengers will love the facilities just as much as experienced jumpers but the latter might find a lack of freeflyers, Bird-men or even a fun atmosphere on the premises. When I was there , everything closed shut shortly after sunset and people disappeared...

Yes, Nouvel Air is a commercial business. But a much better vide is being created by the jumpers and the Social Club that was created last year. The Fire Pit is often busy, more parties are organized, and more general activities too.

That being said, that DZ is more then a tandem factory. Loads of PFF students graduate there every year, lost of fun RW and 4way team jump there, and there are always big way formation jumps organized on the weekends.

Plus, the DZ now has 3 Beech 18s.

The facilities are amazing. Big video room, big debrief rooms, big class rooms. Their student rigs are not very old, all freefly friendly and equiped with cypress. Their 2 Beech make it possible for big ways. The only downside is that you feel like the place is operated by buisiness men and not skydivers. Although being very nice and friendly, the owner kept trying to convince me that his place was better than my home DZ the whole time he was showing me the place. And don't think about staying late for a party beside the fire pit; when the sun goes down and no lucrative activities can take place, this place is dead. So if you're around and you want to skydive, it is definetly worth it, but don't expect to make true friends.

p.s. by the way, they charged me 4$/jump to rent a jumpsuit, and they announced it to me after my two jumps...
