Stopped by on my way to Niagara Falls and the staff and other fun jumpers were super friendly and welcoming. I got a good dz briefing and felt comfortable with the area by the time I jumped. I didn't use them but they have showers and toilets with plumbing on site. They also have bunks if you want to stay at the airport.

The views of lake erie are wonderful and the DZ is easily found from the aircraft and under canopy.

Top notch!

My first visit at Skydive Burnaby was exactly a month ago. I did my tandem, + video and stills. Although I found it a bit pricey initially, I later learned that other drop zones are at the same / comparable rate. Now that I am about to complete my AFP course, I realized that the chief instructor Scott, he is an incredible instructor / friend. Not only does he give clear instructions on the ground (dirt dive and radio parachute landing) he also gives you a lot of confidence, trusting your abilities during free fall. He genuinely cares how well you perform. It's absolutely by luck I found an incredible instructor who I trust enough that his experience will save my life if I mess something up. Although Skydive Burnaby does a lot of tandems, they don't neglect experienced flyers or students, making sure everyone gets to jump, and as a student, making sure I get my jumps required to progress forward (very important). The tandem masters there as well as the camera flyers are all very friendly and would provide you advice at any given time. The admin staff also very friendly and professional, they're always around when you call with questions. It feels more like a big family with common interests at SB than just doing business. The field is well cropped, huge landing area, great scenery. You can see Lake Erie, Niagara Falls, Downtown Toronto if whether permits, and the United States. Owners are awesome too. They are already very reputable so I'm sure this doesn't add anything but reinforces what's been agreed about this drop zone. Also wanted to mention as a student, I've met many experienced folks here who do not work for the drop zone, and they are all very friendly as well. They have a camping area and room with bunk beds, if you decide you want to stay over night with your tent, or use the bunk, it's there for you. I paid $10, the sheets and pillows were clean. I like that there is also a mini fridge in the room. If you're from Toronto, It's definitely a place I recommend for Tandems, especially for AFP course.

First time jump. Did my tandem with Rick. He was very patient, experienced, and friendly. Definitely recommend it here for any first timers.

My girlfriend and I visited Skydive Burnaby last weekend and it was a great experience. Very friendly and professional staff. Good vibe and awesome scenery.

Only wish that I wasn't stuck with my family for the rest of the weekend. Will definitely go back there next time I'm in town.

Being a certified and current skydiver, I made a visit to the drop zone for a jump. They would not allow me to jump, they also required me to show them a video of a past jump. Again, I am class B and was current from the previous week. I left the drop zone without jumping after a long and insane questioning by management.
The management also made a phone call to Niagara Skydive to prevent me from jumping there as well.
*There are great legal and mental issues with management at Burnaby and Niagara Skydive.

Since discovering Burnaby last year, I decided to finish my IAF training there. The instructors are second-to-none and I graduated with confidence in my new skills.

This is the best dropzone for fun-jumpers and students in all of Ontario (if not Canada). Experienced fliers will easily find groups for RW as well as lots of free-fliers for some head-down fun.

There are several wingsuit instructors on-site, and flocking jumps also happen.

Add to that a MASSIVE pond for swooping, and the DZ is a magnet for Canopy Pilots.

There is something at this DZ for all skill levels, and the inviting atmosphere and great people will make Skydive Burnaby your home away from home.

I've been around jumping for 12 yrs and visited numerous places. Skydive Burnaby is the most progressive and by far the best, With it's coast line scenery of Lake Erie ( which you can land on the beach), The skyline of Toronto, Buffalo,Niagara Falls. Friendly staff and coaching for all disciplines is Top notch! Also the only place where you can jump from a Twin Otter full time!!! Come for the jumping ---- Stay for the Night life

I have jumped here in the past and hope to make it my new home in the spring 2003. Mike Pitt is the dzo, and he runs a tight ship. So if you want to take the plunge come on down. Don't foreget the otter's in July. Blue Skies The staff and instructors are friendly so don't be shy.
