Had a jump for a change of scenery there recently, great people. They ensured I got out right over the top and buddy checked my gear before exit. I will be back for sure.

I jumped in Byron bay for about 3 months,, the people who work there are absolutely great,,and I mean the hard working people who actually makes this DZ run so smooth as it does. but the DZ is more tandem operated like most of australian dzs are..
In the weekends tho it was always some local funjumper, which was very fun,but dont expect any 10 way or something..
the big bummer was that its no bunkhouse and no resturant, like they have in toogolawah. And the showers were only for the tandem student,, go figure..
But the Scenery makes up for it BIGTIME,, beautyful view, I loved every canopy ride.

Byron is a bit tandem-oriented dz (millions of tourists). having said that, the staff is ultra-friendly and on weekends you'll definitely get a chance to fun-jump, and the views are worth waiting for.

This is a wonderful dropzone with a good crew and beautiful - and I mean beautiful - surroundings. Cape Byron to the East, the mountains to your left.

Tickets and gear rental are a little much but for Australia they seem to fit.

Had a blast and I am going back as soon as I can.

This is a 1st-class DZ, whether you're a "funny" or there to do your first tandem. The staff were friendly and fun to hang out with; the plane, packing area and landing area were perfect; the lounge was comfy with computers and a plasma screen TV; & the views were spectacular. My only complaint is that there was no one to play with during the week, but I guess not everyone can be a full-time year-round drop zone bum like me!

What can I say, this place was great.
I had an unfortunate out landing into a barbed wire fence (totally my mistake) and the help from the guys at the DZ was great. Can't wait to be jumping again and head back there to get up again. (still owe you some beers guys!!!)

This is a gorgeous dropzone in an interesting location, in the middle of the backpacker trail. Weather is great and jumping is all year around. Very professional and experienced staff, very well respected in the Australian industry, caters to AFF and sports jumpers. Welcoming atmosphere.

Incredible coastal scenery from 14000ft. feet. Variety of aircraft in current use. Amazing and colourful part of the world to explore.
