Welcome to the second New Year’s and BASE boogie organized by ACADEMIA PARACAIDISMO and Skydive Mexico. Moreover, ALL these prices are CASH prices. Base Jumping Being honored to have Avery Badenhop as part of our organization team, this Mexican Bridge BASE day will be a unique fest for BASE lovers. One full day is designated for base jumping (January 2nd 2019). In the incredible Mezcala bridge, one can learn how to base jump, it is a very safe object for this purposes. The trip is amazing, for reaching the 490 FT tall Mezcala bridge (1hr from the DZ). Don't waste this valuable opportunity for learning base jumping and for experience base jumpers, to accumulate more jumps in this incredible place. Here the price list for the base jumping excursion. For beginners, the theory and course will be given on January the 1st 2019, so the jumps can be done on the 2nd of January 2019. Accomodation At the DZ, one can stay at a very economical price. There are shared rooms with clean bathrooms, hot showers etc … The price per night is 10 USD. The rooms are basic, they do not have internet, AC, or TV, but good enough for sleeping. Other hotels are in the surroundings, so it's easy to get good and economic accomodation around the DZ. The prices range from 20 USD, to 200 USD per night, depending the hotel. The LOCAL town is only 10 minutes walk from the DZ, however, this is a VERY small and rural town. The best is to go to CUERNAVACA, but that city is 40 minutes away. Nevertheless, one can find some cafe internet in this town, basic shops for food etc … AirBNB are not that common in the area close to the DZ, but economic hotels are predominant in the surroundings. Free camping area, swimming pool, rooms, restaurant, WIND TUNNEL, etc … We also have a game room, with a pool table, ping-pong, and more. Transportation Academia Paracaidismo offers economic transportation to interesting places close to the DZ, including Mexico City Airport. Mexico City Airport to DZ (2.5 hrs) 35 USD (min 7 pax) DZ - Cuernavaca - DZ (35 mins) 15 USD (min 7 pax) DZ - Tepoztlán - DZ (40 mins) 15 USD (min 7 pax) DZ - Mezcala - DZ (1hr) 35 USDa (min 10 pax) DZ - Cacahuamilpa Caves - DZ (35 mins) 15 USD (min 7 pax) DZ - Xochicalco -DZ (25 mins) 10 USD (min 10 pax) You can rent a car at Mexico City airport, but the best thing to do is to get to the DZ by public transportation. For this, take a bus from Mexico City Airport to CUERNAVACA CASINO (final destination). The bus company is called PULLMAN DE MORELOS and the ticket should not cost more than 20 USD. From CUERNAVACA CASINO you have to take a Second bus from the same company, to the town called, XOXOCOTLA. Once you are in that bus (10 USD), just tell the bus driver to stop you at the CRUZERO DE XOXOCOTLA. From this place, you can take a taxi to the DZ, which is located at the town of SAN JOSE VISTA HERMOSA. THis taxi should not cost more than 5 USD. Taxis are cheap in general but in town. I DO NOT RECOMMEND to take a taxi from Mexico City airport to the DZ, that will be VERY expensive. Many activities can be done around the DZ ! From water sports such as cable board and water skiing, to pyramid visits, nightlife in Cuernavaca and shopping.
