How to create Freefly and Neo Freestyle routines.mp4
Submitted by IBA on 2012-04-25Thinking to compete in artistic disciplines like Freefly or Neo-Freestyle but not sure how to put together a high scoring routine?
This video shows how to create Freefly and Neo-Freestyle routines for our IBA competitions with some helpful tips on judging and scoring.
The first flight is a nice example of a well composed Freefly routine by Mike Silva and Josh Evans from Collective in Denver.
The second flight is a Neo-Freestyle routine flown by Mike Silva and it really shows how Freefly and Freestyle elements can be combined to something extraordinary for indoor skydiving.
A big thanks to Derek Percoski for filming and editing!

If you are thinking to compete in either Freefly or Neo-Freestyle, keep in mind that even though skill level is important, it is not everything!
Other parts of the judging criteria are execution, visual excitement, originality and presentation. So even if your skill level is not up to these guys, you might still score high and of course have a lot of fun. Training for a competition is the fastest way to improve!
