US POPS Nationals 2000 Posted Monday, November 13, 2000The POPS Nationals are set for September 9-17th at Skydive Cross Keys in Williamstown, NJ. There will be 2 Otters and a Casa available for the week, in addition to 2 Cessnas for the Accuracy buffs. Roger Ponce and Derek Thomas will be involved in some of the load organizing, as well as the freefly team, MonkeyClaw, to get some of our treasured pioneers into the darkside.
BevSuits will have plenty of freefly demo suits on hand for those of you who will need them. There will be big ways, freeflying, high altitude, night jumps, speed star competitions, and of course the required 4 Way scrambles, Accuracy, and Hit 'n Rock competitions. USPA National Director, Al Gramando, will be heading the judging teams for all events-- state, national & world records as well. Icarus Canopies will have plenty of demos on hand including the newly arrived, "Crossfire".
Call the DZ for further info on hotels, events, etc, or email me, Vern Reo at vreo@njbiz.com for a flyer with all the relevant stuff. REMEMBER, if you are not a POPS member yet (40 years or older), you may become one at time of registration. See you all there!
