Mission: Unstoppable

Posted Saturday, August 10, 2002

By Mark Morton

Emo Enterprises, Inc. and Mission: Unstoppable are promoting a world wide record event for the largest number of first time skydivers jumping on the same day at participating world wide drop zones. Our global goal for first timers is 5000 and also to raise a combined $100,000 for local and international charities. All world wide drop zones can register for free on our website MissionUnstoppable.net as an official participating drop zone. Mission Unstoppable will be the clearing house for event results and stories. We currently have drop zones in the US, France, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, and New Zealand with new drop zones registering daily.
Mission Unstopable
We are committed to making a stand for global peace and unity, to establish a world record for first timers jumping on the same day (this has never been established), and to raise $100,000 for local and international charities through the donations from the first time jumpers and other donations from the regulars who jump that day. Each participating drop zone chooses the charity or cause they would like to help. Mission Unstoppable will be making a donation to the American and International Red Cross.

It is an easy event to promote because of the scope and enormity of the event. We recommend to have each drop zone challenge their local colleges and universities, businesses, radio and TV stations and newspapers to jump with them if they have never skydived. The media was great for Florida Skydiving Center in Lake Wales, Florida on July 4th when they participated in our Jump for Freedom and Courage.
They have committed to having 30 first timers on September 11th. They did 20 on July 4th.

We will help coach the drop zones on how to promote the event through written press releases they can down load and tips and ideas on how to maximize media exposure for each local drop zone. Help us get the word out for this incredible event!

10 Global Drop Zones and 157 First Timers Pledged! And that is with only 9 DZ's reporting! We received committments for 70 of our 157 first time jumpers within the last 24 hours! We have 33 days left. New drop zones can register here for free.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Mark Morton from Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA and I am honored to be the host for this global event for peace and unity. I spent 3 years of my life in 7th, 8th and 9th grades in the Copenhagen International School in Copenhagen, Denmark. This school was incredible with over 40 nationalities attending. I am committed to helping cause peace and unity on the anniversary of a tragic day in history. Every day we are getting more and more drop zones from around the world to join our spectacular event. Thank you for allowing me to do this.

A big welcome to Sky Roads in Samara, Russia with our largest pledge to date - 40 jumpers! It's great to have you aboard, Russia. Alexey Ustalov and Elena Ananieva have taken on the cause in a big way and have moved their drop zone to the fore front of this event with the largest committment of first time jumpers to date. Come on, Russia, keep the drop zones and pledges coming in!

I also want to say a big thanks and congratulations to The Borneo Connections in Kota Kinabalu-Sabah, Malaysia who are going for 20 first timers jumping for peace and unity on September 11th. Great work! We would like to see our overall average move up to 20 per drop zone. That would mean we would need 250 drop zones to fulfill on an average of 20 first timers per drop zone to reach 5000 first timers - a record!

If each first timer donated $20 in addition to their normal skydiving fees, we would collect as a world wide skydiving drop zone community $100,000 for local and international charities. If all of the regulars who jump make a one time donation if they jump on September 11th, then we could raise much more!

Finally, welcome to Skydive Santa Barbara in gorgeous Lompoc, California, USA who are pledging 10 first timers for the event. Thanks alot. Everyone who has come aboard and pledged are all awesome! Here is the world wide breakdown so far of the official registered drop zones with 33 days to go. Register for free here. Which country will end up with the most first timers?

USA
California (2 drop zones) 20 first timers pledged
Florida (1 drop zone) 30 first timers pledged

Russia (1dz) 40 first timers pledged
Argentina (1 dz) 10 first timers pledged
Brazil (1 dz) 12 first timers
France (1 dz) 10 first timers
Spain (1 dz) no pledges as of yet
New Zealand (1 dz) 15 first timers
Malaysia (1 dz) 20 first timers

Great work everybody! We will keep adding to our total as new drop zones join daily! So come on, Australia, Africa and Asia please join the Jump for Peace and Unity on September 11th. Find out more and to register for free as an official participating drop zone for this international, awesome event.

Find out how this will benefit your drop zone if you become an official participating drop zone.

Peace and Unity,
Mission: Unstoppable
