Flyboyz Film Festival 2003 (X-FEST)

It's time once again for freeflyers from all over the world to converge on Perris Valley Skydiving for the 7th Annual Flyboyz Film Festival. This year's festival will be held October 31 - November 9. The brainchild of the Flyboyz, the Film Festival was envisioned as a way for Freefliers to show off their flying skills, as well as their creative and artistic skills, through original short films that are submitted in several categories including, best presentation of human flight (Aerial visuals), most hilarious (comedic), and a new category for 2003, footage combined with music (Music Video). The most coveted award is the "Daddy Phats", which recognizes the best overall film and most complete project.

Each evening, participants will be able to view the days skydives, artistically compiled to music, on the big screen. On the final Saturday, the viewing and judging of this year's film entries will take place followed by the "Legendary" Film Festival Party.

But the film presentations are only a part of what the Film Festival is really about. This year's festival will be totally new and like nothing you've ever seen before. Ten of the world's best freeflyers will come together to jump as a ten way team and load organize throughout the week and a half long event. Known as the X Team, the 10-way team will be made up of the Flyboyz, Alchemy, Babylon, Brandon Park and Chris Salcone.

The X Team will be following a story board created by the Flyboyz. The story board will highlight each of the individual fliers as well as the team they are a part of. The skydives will slowly join together one team at a time until the entire 10 fliers are flying together. Once the X Team is complete with all 10 fliers, they will fly together using smoke and high speed maneuvers the likes of which no one has ever seen before. These maneuvers will be challenging to capture on film and difficult for the fliers to achieve.

Throughout the festival time will be scheduled for all participants to jump with the members of the X Team everyday, and at night tunnel time will be available. Once the project X team has completed their 50 jumps they will be available for coaching and load organizing for the remainder of the event. Additional organizers will also be available daily for participants to jump with while the X Team are working on their jumps.

To organize an event of this size we, need participants to pre-register. In exchange, we are offering discounts to those whom are able to commit in advance. The registration fees are as follows:

• 20 jump package $360.00 (18.00 per jump) + registration
  
• 40 jump package $700.00 (17.50 per jump) + registration
  
• 60 jump package $990.00 (16.50 per jump) + registration
