- Paraclete Tunnel Meet & JFTC - by Maxine Tate
Jump for the Cause is the skydiving industry's premier fundraising organization. It was set up ten years ago when a group of female skydivers wanted to raise money for charity to celebrate the Women’s World Formation Record attempt. Since then, every time this record is attempted and broken, female skydivers from around the world raise money for the City of Hope hospital in California that receives the funds raised through Jump for The Cause. In September this year Skydive Perris will play host to the final attempt to break the current Women’s World Record of 165, and fundraising efforts are already underway.

- PD Factory Team Sweeps the Extreme Week Event - by Shannon Pilcher
In late June the PD Factory Team set off on a two-week, action-packed adventure to the Scandanavian wonderland called Norway. The primary objective was to compete in the European Swooping Tour (EST), one of the many sports being showcased on the Extreme Week billet.

From November 2-11, 2006, I gathered with German jumpers at Skydive Arizona in Eloy to build a new German Record. Main
organizer, Dieter Kirsch, planned a 150 (156) big way formation with the goal to beat the previous 122-way German
performance in 2004 over Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

- Pro Swooping Tour Kicks off 2006 Season - by Stuart Schoenfeld
On April 28th some of the best canopy pilots in the world kicked off the 4th year of the Pro Swooping Tour in Lake Wales, FL. Seasoned veterans of the PST such as Ian Bobo, Luke Aikens, and Kaz Sheekey were also joined by some of the newest pro pilots straight from the CPC championships like Ian Drennan, Brian McNenney, and Stuart Schoenfeld.

- Spanish Bird-Man Team crosses the Strait of Gibraltar - by Jari Kuosma
Three Spanish parachutists crossed the strait of Gibraltar in freefall, breaking two world records. Santi Corella, 33, Tonuses López, 31, and Alvaro Bultó, 33, had prepared for the jump for three years with the help of the Air Force.

More than 390 BASE jumpers made 645 jumps from the 876’ tall New River Gorge Bridge during a rainy 25th annual Bridge Day celebration in Fayetteville, West Virginia. The October 16th silver celebration of Bridge Day allowed for legal BASE jumps for six hours from the world's second longest single arch bridge, although a mid-day storm halted jumping for approximately 25 minutes.

The Royal Gorge Go Fast Games returned to the world’s highest suspension bridge in Canon City, Colorado October 8-10th, to showcase athletes in B.A.S.E. jumping, "highlining" and big wall speed climbing – the only event in the world that combines these breathtaking extreme sports. The invitation-only event drew athletes from around the world – including Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Spain, Australia and the United States.
