5th Annual Flyboyz Film Festival

It's time once again for freeflyers from all over the world to converge on Perris Valley Skydiving for the 5th Annual Flyboyz Film Festival. This year's festival will be held September 13 - 16. The brainchild of the Flyboyz, the Film Festival was envisioned as a way for Freefliers to show off their flying skills, as well as their creative and artistic skills, through original short films that are submitted in several categories including, best presentation of human flight (Aerial visuals), most hilarious (comedic), and a newly added category for 2001, the most Innovative (Innovation).

The most coveted award is the "Daddy Phats", which recognizes the best overall film and most complete project. The films are presented to all participants as part of the daily festivities on Saturday evening and are judged by the Flyboyz themselves, with a little help from audience feedback.

But the film presentations are only a part of what the Film Festival is really all about. The Film Festival provides the opportunity for hundreds of Freefliers of all skill levels from all over the world a chance to jump with World class Freefliers and improve skills as well as learn new skills. There will be load organizing each day as well as tracking races, swoop contests, pool parties and much, much more. The Flyboyz will also be hosting a party on Saturday night and I'm sure, as in the years past, it will be quite a "Blow out". This is one event you won't want to miss. Hope to see you all there.
