Favorite helmet ever 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: Shelbyrlff, 2017-03-01

I love this helmet! It's extremely comfortable, both the padding inside and the dreamy cushioned chinstrap (which I find to be uncomfortable on many helmets, skydiving and otherwise). It blocks out the engine noise but still leaves the capability of hearing people in the plane. I'm glad I bought it at my gear shop instead of online because I have a pretty small head and I bought the large. I've tried on a large in a Cookie full face and my head was swimming in it, so this seems to be a one-off in sizing. The color also started getting cloudy within the first few months of purchasing, but that wasn't a big deal to me.

Cookie ROK 5 out of 5 stars

Got it from the factory with a liquid flatlock and cutaway chin cup. At first I thought I needed to size up but after some breaking in it's now fitting perfectly. The cutaway chin cup is awesome and saved my neck once already. Its nice for speed flying and in the plane to hear people. I don't think this is a loud helmet even with the vents. One day I bumped the top of my head and I felt a sharp pain. Pulled out the liner and discovered that the snap screws in the factory installed flatlock had sharp edges and protruded more than necessary. Would have been nice if they had filed it or used another snap screw. Also they "forgot to ship my order" so it took them several months to get it to me.

All in all a great rig for camera flying, super stable and worth the hassle. Just wish they had done a better job installing the hardware

Super Comfy!!! 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: jrmrangers, 2011-08-03

I recently got my license and wanted to upgrade from the crappy second hand helmet I've been using so I did some helmet research. Ultimately the price, the construction and the comfort made me go with the ROK. Its super comfy yet perfectly snug so it doesn't move around on your head. I'm able to wear my sunglasses with this helmet which is a big bonus to me. All in all if your looking for on open face helmet , you cant go wrong with the Rok!!
