Michigan suits
Rated by: Airhare (more about me) on 2009-02-17 06:15:30 (user reviews) Review ID:2141

Pros: Good quality
Cons: Ordering facilities & colour choice

My first Michigan suit was made in seven days when I met the man himself back in 1995 while doing my AFF. I used it up until 2000, then stopped.3 years ago I started again, continuing with the same suit and although it’s stood the test of time and still has life in it despite looking a little dated. I therefore ordered and have just received my second Michigan suit, although Michigan suits are of good quality and well tailored, what lets it down is the lack of information when it comes to ordering! For example there are no picture manikins to show where the colours are to be, (pictures paint a thousand words!) and there is a big deference in some of the colours when it comes to the types of material used in particular the colour material named Silver grey! If and when the ratification gets sorted I will hopefully be able to put it through its paces.

Revised: You Won't Regret Getting a Michigan
Rated by: wildfan75 (more about me) on 2006-11-22 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:1703

Pros: Great Fit, Looks Great, Customer Service
Cons: Delivery Time

I've had my Michigan for about eight months now. I've had to get the bottom of my booties professionally re-attached (the rubber part to the bootie starting coming off), the stitching around the zipper has come undone in two places (one at the bottom of the zipper and one up by my chest), and had the seam come undone on both outside knees (were the cordura bootie meet the upper leg fabric and back of leg fabric) which needed repair after two different slid in landings. Tough part about the repairs was that there wasn't enough fabric allowance in the seams to go just anywhere and have it fixed. The third place I went to finally was able to do it. They look great but after jumping it a little longer, I'm some what disappointed. But this is my first jumpsuit (I've stood up 99% of my landings in this suit so I haven't been hard on it), so I guess I don't have anything to compare it to.

I have nothing but good things to say about Michigan.
Rated by: Zoso (more about me) on 2006-07-05 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:1588

Pros: Perfect fit, quality construction, great service
Cons: None

In May of 2006 I ordered a "standard suit" (RW) from Michigan Suits. I requested their express service because I needed a proper fitting RW suit for tunnel training I was to receive in June. Everything turned out perfect. The suit arrived before the promised date. It fit perfectly (especially the booties) and the quality and design have proven to be excellent. I previously had an RW suit custom made by one of the most well known manufacturers in the industry. I was even personally fitted by the owner of the company. Now that I have this Michigan suit I realize that the booties on the other brand suit didn't fit well at all. The booties on my Michigan suit have just the right amount of tension between my toes and my knees. Needless to say I highly recommend Michigan suits.
