Great Helmet
Rated by: Travman (more about me) on 2005-04-10 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:1251

Pros: Quiet, Comfortable, 2 dytter pockets, can attach camera
Cons: None

I looked around at a lot of different helmets before deciding. I had heard a lot of people recommending the hookr's and in the end thats the way I decided to go. I wanted something light and comfortable that I can add a camera to later. The hookr's carbon fibre shell and soft inside padding makes it very light and comfortable and also a lot quieter, I have no problems hearing my dytter. Also great customer service, they kept me up to date with what was happening with my helmet. Most people get the clear coat carbon fibre look but I got mine painted black, looks great and is different from all the other hookrs at my DZ.

It there such a thing as "too good" ?
Rated by: Grumpy (more about me) on 2005-01-22 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:1168

Pros: Safety, Comfort, Style, Functionality, Cost
Cons: Too popular ! (see below)

First the good - When it came time to retire my previous camera helmet, I checked out everything on the market and this design stood out in terms of safety and functionality. The camera box is internally latched and flush with the side of the helmet so the chance of snagging is virtually eliminated. I can review footage, and access firewire and charging sockets on my PC 104 without removing the camera from the helmet and I can easily alter the angle of the camera for freefly, tandems or FS. It has twin internal audible ports which are located over my ear (unlike a lot of other helmets I considered which have them half way up your head) so I can hear both easily. I've done 200 jumps on the helmet and it's extremely comfortable and secure. Finish is tip top and all the fittings are high quality. Style is very personal but for what it's worth I think it's the business. The icing on the cake is that it cost substantially less than any comparable helmets! And the bad news? They may just be too good. They've become very popular at my DZ so when there's a line of identical helmets hanging on the rack and I'm rushing for a load it can be difficult to identify mine from the rest! Highly recommended

Get your head in a Hookr
Rated by: nael (more about me) on 2004-11-18 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:1123

Pros: Comfy, looks awesome
Cons: None

The first thing that stood out about this helmet is how comfortable it is. It's so soft and cushy inside! It looks a lot better than that old surfing helmet you've been wearing for 5 years, is reasonably priced, and best of all, the delivery time is fast! I'm not jumping camera yet, but when I do they're going to modify the helmet I already have to fit a camera. Easy. In short, the Hookr is extremely comfy, well priced, quick delivery and looks awesome. I wouldn't expect anything less from a Hookr. Once you see it and put it on it speaks for itself really.
