Description:
Phoenix Fly Pants are a revolutionary new BASE & skydiving track pants design. Using ram air technology, this unique design of the leg air inlet and the ''bootie hook'' will help to offer the jumper a level of performance that has yet to be attained. Phoenix-fly Pants allow the jumper to track faster and flatter and to fly further than ever before. This smart design provides quick pressurizing in order to form an increased smooth and rigid surface on the legs. Phoenix Fly Pants are designed to be worn over your harness leg straps, thus creating an even larger and smoother surface.

The "bootie hook" feature provides additional tension on the legs to help keep proper form and shape of the pants during the jump. This advanced feature helps the jumper to adjust the length of the pants to the length of his own legs without restricting freedom of movement in any way.

PF Pants are made from Zero Porosity material. The buttocks and knee area are reinforced for increased durability. The zipper on the inside of the Pant's leg makes it easier to get in and out of them without the jumper having to remove their footwear. This makes PF Pants really 'user friendly'.

The Track Suit Is Fast
Rated by: mbondvegas (more about me) on 2007-01-24 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:1733

Pros: Wicked Fwd Speed and the ability to fall SLOW
Cons: Well Constructed but not exactly "Beefy"

I have about 20 jumps on my PF Track Suit (pants and jacket). This combo is excellent. I have logged average fall rates in the low 70's with minimum rates in as low as 57. The forward drive from the pants is outstanding. The suit is nice looking and well constructed but it is constructed of a ZP like material that does not seem suitable for the potential roughness of BASE approaches and landings...but what do I know... I just use them for skydiving..and I love them. These are Lightyears better than the Birdman Pantz!

Casual wear for the gourmet skydiver
Rated by: alw (more about me) on 2005-11-13 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:1427

Pros: Contruction, Performance, Easy on and off
Cons: Z-po is hot - face into the wind when waiting on the ground

I bought the pants and jacket as part of my wingsuit training program and because I wanted this gear in addition to a wingsuit for those time when more hang time was desirable but a wing suit would be too much. A dozen jumps after picking them up and I'm sold on the concept and design. The stuff that others have written is on the mark so I won't do a rehash. Other observations might enlarge the envelope for applications. I'm a larger person at 6' 190lbs but there are times when I'd like to jump with the lighter jumpers without the need for them to wear weights. With a little effort, I can get down to them and control fall rate to stay on formation on belly dives. It does require attention to detail on leg position to keep out or the forward motion range. I really like the lower fall rate without the flapping of a bulky jump suit. Once inflated, it is stable and relatively quiet. I find a range of control that is more than I had exspect and the range of fun which is proportional. On your back the flapping is palpable - recovery to belly to earth is standard and fairly easy. Controlling the suit is a natural progression for me and simulation of wing suit pull time procedures gives me a feel that is very much what I experienced jumping the Prodigy. All in all a managable progression for expanding my flight envelope. When dressing for success this is a must have for the skydiving wardrobe. Be prepared for some subterminal openings and water weight loss.

Phoenix Fly Pants.
Rated by: patrickweldon (more about me) on 2005-06-05 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:1297

Pros: Instant Inflation, Incredible Track, Lots o' Fun.
Cons: Yikes.... the price!

I purchased the Phoenix Fly Pants specifically for a Norway trip this summer. I spent last week wearing them skydiving. They are really a good design. Instant inflation, huge tracking speed. My protrack registered an average freefall speed of 80mph, and my freefall time (from 14K) was in the 100 second rage! I was easily able to track the length of a very long runway, and for fun would track out over the highway and pass cars.. of course I was at 10,000 feet and they couldnt see me, but it was quite a fun feeling. The highlight was the clouds that rolled in, and I got to fly in, out, and around them. I did not purchase the jacket, but I easily give the pants a 5 out of 5!
