mxv, liquid lens, cameye, and sony box
Rated by: martybarman (more about me) on 2007-02-12 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:1743

Pros: light weight and comfortable, amazingly fast shipping from AUS.
Cons: none, make sure you know what you want the first time you order. shipping is expensive

this mxv is great. it fits like a motorcycle helmet. very soft interior and light. i don't know anyone with a cookie but i wanted an easier setup than my current helmet. it required tools and time to get on and off. a real pain to look at in the middle of the day or fire wire to someone else. i ordered a box first for my old helmet. it didn't fit. so, i sold the helmet and tried my luck with cookie. jeremy gave me a 10% discount on the helmet and free shirt (free advertisement for them)for my hassel. i ended up getting the whole setup. i don't regret any of it. it is a little more expensive than the rest, but well worth it. i was a using a kenko .45 lens before. never again. the liquid .3 is great. nothing sticks out of the box. try to order it all at once. shipping is expensive. i had to pay for the box to ship on its own. then the helmet, lens, and cameye. then, today, i had to send the chin cup back for a more padded one. it ships real fast though. i had the box in 3 days, the helmet in 5 (they had to put it together) and then the replacement chin cup in 3 days. i will compare all other equipment to cookie compoosites. the best i've had. i have 2 friends that are ordering because i was the guiness pig.

Cookie's Mxv plus Black Box is the ticket!
Rated by: punchur (more about me) on 2007-02-04 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:1082

Pros: Super Light weight & comfortable
Cons: none in my opinion

I bought this setup 2 winters ago and have now used it for two seasons with no regrets! I sidemounted my PC105 and have a Rebel mounted on top. The helmet is quiet, comfortable and a great product in my opinion. The only "problem" I have encountered is with the Black Box having a tendency to flex when I pull the helmet on and the lid would occasionally "pop" out of alignment. This was easy to "fix" by my use gaffer tape...I merely put a strip over the bungee and the seam where the box closes. I feel this precaution also serves as a "backup" to the bungee closure anyhow, so no big deal. I've noticed on a friend's newer model Black Box that it's "lip" is bigger now; I assume this revision to the Black Box has fixed the minor "quirk" that I have with my "older" model. When asked if I like my "Cookie" products, I recommend them without hesitation!

My new MXV Cookie Composite Helmet
Rated by: bennord (more about me) on 2006-09-25 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:1656

Pros: Its light weight and a very professional looking setup
Cons: None

Well after using Cookie helmets for nearly 15 years now, I decided after getting a new PC1000 and 350D it was time to upgrade the old helmet. I ordered a new MXV, Black Box, Liquid Flat Lock for the stills camera and a new sight mount. This was all assembled at their factory. When I picked I was very impressed with the quality of their workmanship. The Video and Stills camera were perfectly sighted, all I had to do was sight in the ring sight and I was on my way. I would recommend getting your helmet gear from them to everyone, you wont be disappointed.
