Save money learning to freefly
Rated by: cousindave (more about me) on 2004-01-21 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:911

Pros: Fantasitc, useful information, amazing pics
Cons: I can't get them for free

This made a huge difference in my freeflying. Brian has an extremely easy-to-read writing style. There are some great insights in both the book and the video. Way worth 35 bucks. David Ames

A great gift for yourself and your buds!
Rated by: apley (more about me) on 2002-11-22 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:613

Pros: Informative, great photography, good drills, safety concerns
Cons: it wasn't free

I bought this book right off the rack because I couldn't resist the beautiful photography! I figured if the book actually sucked, the photos were worth the price. Well, not only did they spend time, money and effort on excellent photography, but the book itself is packed full of information on the subject of FreeFlying. I've had a lot of coaching from more experienced jumpers in my over 200 freefly jumps, and I still learn a lot every time I pick this book up. I highly recommend this to anyone just starting out in freeflying because of the safety issues if nothing else. I learned all that with trial and error, a few cheap (I lived) lessons, and a scolding now and then. Freefly is great fun, but also extremely dangerous if we don't pay attention to the many details associated with this unstable flight. This is going to make a great gift for those special occassions with my brothers and sisters who have chosen the Dark Side. I think even FlatFlyers would love the photography!

OK, sorta philosophical
Rated by: Dutchboy (more about me) on 2001-03-14 00:00:00 (user reviews) Review ID:303

This book has some good safery information and can be a bit philosophical at times. The video is pretty good, but most of it is "grandpa" talking about safety with his grandson. Some of the things they say will be covered at the beginning of the video aren't really covered at all. I think this book/video is a good place to start.
